Thank you for purchasing the My Weigh* 700″ digital scal. Please read all
operating instructions carefully befor use. This electronicscale is a precison
instrument, With normal care and proper treatment, it will povide years

Never load the scale with more than the maximum capacity. Although the 700™ s
designed to be extremely durable with extra overload protection built nto the
case, overloading will permanently damage t! Avoid any exposure to extreme
heat or cold, your scale works better when operated at normal foom
temperature. Keep your scal in a dean environment. Dust,dirt, moisture,
vibration, air currents and/or aclose proximity o other electronic equipment
can all cause an adverse effect on the elability and accuracy ofyour scale.
Handle with care. Gently apply alitems to be weighed onto tray top. Avoid
shaking, dropping or otherwise shodking the scale. Scals ae delcate nstruments
and ik cellular phones, scales have delicte sensors thatdetermine how much
anitem weighs. I you drop o shock your scale, thse sensors “feel” the shock
and are sometimes destroyed. Tis happens with al digta scale. We design our
scales o be a resistant toshock or rops as possble, however there is no way fo
usto protect 100% againstload ell r sensor damage. Failue o follow these
instructions willvoid your wartanty.
Aways allow the scale to acclimate to nomal room temperature fr t leastone
hour before use. Give your scle sufcent warm up time. Usually 30-60 seconds
before calibration to giv the nternal components a chance o tabiize
PRECAUTIONS BEFORE USING THE BALANCE
- Matter charged with statc electrdty can affect accuracy. Discharge allstatic electricity. For example, one methad s to use Static-Guard spray, and spray it on both idesof the weighing platform.
- The balance must beinan exactly horizontal positon n oder toachieve accurate measurement esults.
- Please use an independent power outlt to avoid nterferencefrom other elctrcal appliances.
- Dort putany objecton te plaform before powering on.
- When possibl please alow thescale to warm up for sveral minutes before operaton.
- Items should aways be placed onthe cente o the platform when being weighed.
POWER SUPPLY
The i700™is powered by 6 xAA batteriesor directy by AC power adapter (8V 600mA).
BATTERIES
Low Batteies & bad battery connections are the #1 causeof scale malfunction and inaccuracy! We tet all o ourscale retuns from Consumers and 60% of them are bttery relaed problems. Tis sounds il but s true! A scale willperform poorly when it has fow baterie. Use good quality batteries & replace then often (Remove the batteiesifyou plan to store the scal fo longer then 14 days). Weinclude good quality bateris with ll ofour cales butthey an un lowinstorage. I your cale simply won’t tur on while on battery power,tsoften caused by loose bttery connectons.
Battery installation
a) Pressand it open the battery cover located at the bottom of the unit. b) nsertthe btteries and make sure the polarty s correct. ) Close the battery over il it dicksshut, Note: fthe battery symbol appears in the display, it means low battery power. It time to eplace the batteries.
OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS
Weighing Procedures
1press @ totum onthe sale. When the power is turned on, the cale will
countdown for a few seconds and “0” will appear on the display. 2.Select the
weighing unit with
Press (&) toselect a weighing unit g, ct, 1/4 0z, 1/8 0z, 0z, 0zt, dwt. Once
the unit has been selected, the selected unit will be displayed next to the
weight value. 3 Start weighing
TARE
Tare can be used for eliminating the weight value of an empty container. Place an empty container on the scale and press 2 . Then place the tems to be weighed in the container. NOTE:When all weight s removed from the weighing tra, the taed value of container will be displayed as a negative number. ress (2 again to return the scale to zero,
CALIBRATION
When to calbrate – calibration is RARELY required. Galbration may b required
when the scale sfirtset up for use,orfthe scale is moved to diffeent altitude
or new location. This isnecessary because the weight of amass n one locationis
not necessarly the same in another locaton. Also, with time and use,
mechanical deviations can occur.
Howto calbrate you must hav an accurate 500 welght o combination f weights i
order to calibrate 1.The scale must be powered OFF. Press and hold €2 and
press @ to power on the scale. Release & after 3 seconds. The display illnow
flash “CAL: 2. Waituntith splay lashesthe correct calbration weight500’, and
place a 500g weighton the ray. 3. Galibraton s complte when the cales beeps
and displays the correctvalue o the weight. The isplay will retun to normal
weighing mode. Note: I the wiight placed on the pa s incorrect the isplay will
show rr 1
‘COUNTING FUNCTION
- Press (@) , the display will show 10 Cor pes” (means sample size s 10 pes)
- .Press (2 toselect, the sample size you want to use 10, “20, ” “50. ” “100″
- Put the exact quantity of samples desired on the platform and press @) , the set sample size will appear.
- Keepadding objects to be counted on the pan, the total number of e objects willbe displayed. Ifthe unit weight s too small for the counting resolution, the display will show “ERR”
- Press @) to return to normal weighing mode.
FEATURES
Power Up Segment Test When firstturning the unit n, the scalewill un a quick
diagnostic and it il display a countdown . Tis display willremain fora few
seconds and then reset to zero.
Overload indicator When thedisplay shows——, tisindicates an ovrload. Remove
excesiv load immediatel. Remember:you can permanently damage the scale and
void your warranty by overloadingit Auto off An auto shut offfeature is
provided to conserve battery power. The unit will automatically tun off after
2 minutes (default) of
inactivity. Auto 0ff / Backlight Control
The scale must be powered OFF. Press and hold (2)and press () to power o the
scale. Release ()after 3 sconds. Press () to
toggle “OFF 0″ (auto off disabled), “0FF1″ (auto off 2mins), “OFF2″ (auto off
Smins), to confirm press (=) . Next you will enter the Backlight setting;
press (2 to toggle “BL 0″ auto backlight of disabled), “BL1″ (auto backlight
on), “BL2″ (auto backlight activates when weight placed on scale), to confirm
press (=) . The display wil return to normal weighing mode.
