INSTRUCTION

To ensure correct function and safety, please read and follow all instructions carefully before assembly, installation and use of this product. Please keep instructions for future reference

Warranty

  • This luminaire is covered by a 5 years warranty. The warranty is from date of purchase, not the date of installation.
  • If the luminaire is not assembled and installed by a licensed electrician, the warranty will be void.
  • Please retain the proof of purchase and evidence of installation by a licensed electrician for any warranty enquiries.
  • Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the luminaire.
  • Failure to comply with the instructions in this manual may increase the risk of damage or injury and will void the warranty.

Installation Requirements

  • Must be installed by a licensed electrician.

  • All wiring and installation of the light luminaire must adhere to local and national wiring rules. E.g., AS/NZS 3000 Electrical Installations.

  • This luminaire is a Class I product and must be earthed during wiring and installation.

  • Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating .This luminaire must be used with LED lamps only.

  • This luminaire is rated IP65, this must be maintained during wiring and installation.

  • Select a suitable location for installation:

    • A flat ground mounting foundation must be prepared with the L-bolts supplied to complete installation.
    • This luminaire is protected against water penetration to IP65 standards, which is against low-pressure jets of water from all practicable directions. This must be maintained during wiring and installation.
  • Take care not to pull any electrical wires during unpacking as this may damage the connection.

  • Lay out all the components on a smooth surface and make sure there are no components missing before
    assembling. If parts are missing, return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection or replacement.

  • Check whether the luminaire has been damaged during transport. Do not operate/install any product which appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.

Installation Directions

NOTE: Ensure power to the circuit you are working on has been switched OFF before commencing any electrical work.

NOTE: Due to the size of the luminaire, two people will be required to lift it during the installation process.

  1. Remove all packaging material from the product and be careful not to throw away accessories that may be hidden within the packaging material. Check Parts List to ensure you have all parts. If assembly is required, place the luminaire on a smooth non-scratch surface.

  2. Foundation, Anchor bolts(L), and mains supply wires preparation: Select a suitable location to install this
    luminaire and ensure that the anchor bolts(L) are secure. Use the 3 mounting bolts hole of the Base – tube(H) to position the anchor bolts(L) so they are aligned.

  3. Luminaire assembly:

  4. Parts (D) and Top post assembly: Insert the Top post extension tube (D) into the Top post. Ensure the internal wiring and junction box (C) is routed inside the tube(D) and secure section Top post and (E) by twisting until it secure.

  5. Parts (E) assembly: Twist to join the Base extension tube(E) into Top Post Extension Tube(D) of the
    luminaire. Ensure the internal wiring and junction box (C) is routed inside the tube (E).

  6. Parts (F), (G) and (H) assembly: Insert the Base cover(G) over Base tube (H). Then place assembled
    Top post, (D), and (E) on top of Base tube(H), aligned the threaded screw holes of (H), and secure with Base and Base extension screws(F). Ensure the internal wiring and junction box(C) is routed inside the tube(H).

  7. Wiring installation:

  8. Remove the Connection box covers (P) and Seal(Q) by loosening the screws (O) to access terminal block(R).

  9. Loosen the waterproof gland nuts (M) on both sides of the connection box (N). Insert the internal wires (C) and the main supply wires through the gland nuts (N) and then to the terminal box (O).

  10. Connect the Internal wires (C) and the mains supply wires to the terminal block (R) Mains Supply Wire Luminaire Wire / Terminal block
    Earth – Yellow/Green Yellow/Green or
    Neutral – Blue or Black Blue or N
    Live – Brown or Red Brown or L
    Ensure the wires are secure and no bare wires are exposed. Install the cover back onto the terminal box.
    NOTE: It is recommended that a non-corrosive bead of silicone be applied before installation ensuring that no water can run down into the cabling.
    NOTE: The luminaire is a Class I product and must be earthed during wiring and installation

  11. Install the Connection box covers (P) and Seal(Q) back by tightening the screws (O) and secure the terminal block (R) by tightening waterproof gland nuts (M) on both sides.

  12. Insert the connection box(N) into the Base tube (H) and install the fully assembled luminaire by aligning the base tube(H) hole into the anchor threaded bolts(L) and secure by tightening with the washers(K),  lockingwasher(J), and mounting nuts (I).
    NOTE: There are 2 sets of washers and nuts (J,K,L). 1 set spares or for use help raise the mount level.

  13. Remove the glass shade and seal (A) and install a globe (B-not included) into the lamp holder.
    NOTE: This luminaire must be used with LED lamps only. Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.

  14. Replace the glass shade and seal (A) onto the luminaire over the globe and secure.

  15. Make any final adjustments to the luminaire and check that all parts are secured tightly before turning the power on. Switch on the luminaire to test and enjoy your new lightning product.

Safety Tips

  • Always ensure the power is OFF and the luminaire has cooled down before performing any maintenance,cleaning, changing the globe or making any adjustment to the luminaire.
  • The luminaire must not be used if the shade has been cracked or damaged. Replace any cracked protective shield.
  • To avoid injury or damage to the luminaire, ensure that power leads and screws are secure before connecting the power.
  • To clean, wipe with a soft damp cloth. Do NOT soak or immerse the product in water or other liquids.
  • Ensure that the luminaire does not come in contact with corrosive chemicals/solvents or abrasive cleaners etc.
