Operation

You can play audio from an audio device that sends its signal over a Bluetooth connection (e.g., smartphones, tablet computers, etc.). DN-200AZB uses Bluetooth CSR 4.0 and has a transmission range up to 100 feet (30.5 meters).

Once you “pair” your Bluetooth device with DN-200AZB, they are “connected” wirelessly. You can play audio on your Bluetooth device, and it will be sent out of DN-200AZB’s outputs.

Important:

  • DN-200AZB will not receive audio from a phone call. While using it, we recommend disabling your cellular connection, if possible.
  • Do not use DN-200AZB near a microwave oven, which can interfere with the reception.
  • While DN-200AZB is paired with a Bluetooth device, other Bluetooth devices cannot pair to it. You must unpair (“disconnect”) the current Bluetooth device from DN-200AZB to make it available to others.

To pair your Bluetooth device to DN-200AZB:

  1. If DN-200AZB is off, use the included power adapter to connect its power input to your power source. The Status Light will begin flashing.
  2. Make sure your desired Bluetooth device has its Bluetooth connectivity on and is within range. DN-200AZB will automatically try to pair with the last-paired Bluetooth device, if any. If you are using that Bluetooth device again, you can start playing audio immediately. If you want to use a different Bluetooth device, continue to Step 3.
  3. On your Bluetooth device, enter its Bluetooth settings menu, and select DN-200AZB. When DN-200AZB successfully pairs to a Bluetooth device, the Status Light will stop flashing and remain lit.

Note: (Some older Bluetooth devices may require you to enter a PIN. If this is the case, enter 0000 as the PIN.)

If no device pairs within 20 seconds, DN-200AZB will exit pairing mode and the LED will turn off. To re-enter pairing mode, press and hold DN-200AZB’s Pair button for 3 seconds. When the Status Light starts flashing, release the Pair button. On your Bluetooth device, start playing audio.

To adjust your volume level, we recommend setting the volume control of your devices in the following order:

  • your Bluetooth device
  • your receiver, if any (its input channel level[s], then its main output level)
  • DN-200AZB, using its Level Knob
Set each volume level as high as possible without creating distortion or any “clipping” of the sound.
  1.

Important : DN-200AZB will not receive audio from a phone call. While using it, we recommend disabling your cellular connection, if possible.

To unpair your Bluetooth device from DN-200AZB, do one of the following:

  • Enter your Bluetooth device’s Bluetooth settings menu, and disconnect from DN-200AZB.
  • Press and hold DN-200AZB’s Pair button for 3 seconds, and then release it. DN-200AZB will unpair from your Bluetooth device and be available to pair to another one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I leave my integrated Denon amp on all the time?

Amplifiers shouldn’t be left on since prolonged and continuous heat exposure might cause internal components, including the filament, to wear out. Quality and dependable amplifiers can run continuously for hours, days, or even weeks without experiencing any damage. It’s advisable to switch your amps off when not in use, though.

Why is only one side of my Denon amp working?

Reverse the speaker wires at the amplifier’s back by shifting the right channel wires to the left outputs and the left channel wires to the right. Then, turn the amplifier off. Replug it back in. The speaker or wiring on the problematic side is faulty if the issue only affects that one speaker. If it reverses, the amp is to blame.

Who makes Denon amplifiers?

Denon was split off as a separate company in 2001, with Hitachi owning 2% of it and Ripplewood Holdings owning 98%. In order to create D&M Holdings, Denon and Marantz merged in 2002. The purchase of D+M Holdings by Sound United LLC was finished on March 1 of this year.

Can I leave my Denon receiver on all the time?

Use that setup since the AVR is intended to be left in Standby (in fact, all new Denon devices cannot be turned OFF but can only be left in Standby or ON).

How long can you leave an Denon amp on?

A tube amplifier is made to operate continuously. However, this is not a suggestion. Most manufacturers advise against playing continuously for longer than 6 to 8 hours without at least a 30-minute cool-down period.

What can damage an Denon amplifier?

The three most likely causes of harm are faulty speaker connections, heavy load placement, and amplifier overheating. Typically, one channel is followed by the other. – Turning up the amp’s volume to the point where the loudspeaker driver is ruined (s).

How do you know when your Denon amp is blown?

Here are some of them: The sound has a discernible distortion. Even though your audio system is already turned on, there is no sound. Your stereo system starts emitting strange noises, like farts.

Do Denon amplifiers lose power over time?

Actually, depending on how they were handled, amplifiers can lose power with time.

What is the difference between AV receiver and amplifier?

An amplifier on steroids is an AV (Audio/Video) receiver. A receiver can output audio into five, seven, eleven, or even thirteen separate channels instead of the standard two channels found on an amplifier. It can also handle video data, typically over an HDMI connection.

Do Denon amplifiers sound better than receivers?

The power, expressed in watts, of a stereo amplifier determines the volume of sound it generates. As a result, amplifiers with higher power output sound better and more clear than ones with lesser power. The AV receiver, on the other hand, is designed to receive both audio and video signals, and the quality of its output is independent of its power.

How much ventilation does an Denon amp need?

In order to significantly lower the chance of the amplifier overheating and tripping the protection circuit when playing at moderate to high volume output levels, we advise leaving at least 6 inches of ventilation space on top and 2 inches on either side of the receiver/amplifier.

How do you test an Denon amplifier to see if it works?

Connect the ground (black) and power (red) wires. One of the simplest things to do is to connect the amplifier’s power wire to the positive battery post of the car and the ground to the negative battery post. Connect the microphone to the amplifier. Use one fuse in the amplifier after checking all the available fuses.

How do I choose an Denon amp for my speakers?

Generally speaking, you should choose an amplifier that has a power output capacity that is double the program/continuous power rating of the speaker. This indicates that an amplifier with a power output of 700 watts into an 8 ohm load is necessary for a speaker with a “nominal impedance” of 8 ohms and a programme rating of 350 watts.

What’s the difference between an Denon amplifier and a pre amplifier?

A power amp amplifies the line level signal before it is sent to the speakers after being amplified by a preamp to bring it to line level. To put it another way, a preamp boosts signal intensity to a level that can be sent to the devices in your chain.

Why do you need Denon amplifier?

Gain is a property of amplifiers that raises a signal’s level. Speaker level signals can be output by power amplifiers to effectively drive loudspeakers. Power amplifiers may exist as independent devices or as component amplifiers (integrated amps, receivers and instrument amps).

How much space do you need above an Denon amplifier?

The ideal amount of room to leave above the top of your receiver is three inches.
