PHILIPS UltraFill Home Oxygen System

Startup checklist

Before filling UltraFill oxygen cylinders, check to make sure that the system is setup correctly. Follow the Startup checklist below to ensure proper filling.

1| | Tubing is properly connected between UltraFill and the oxygen concentrator. Check for kinks.| Inspect visually.
2| | Oxygen concentrator is powered on.| Green light on top panel should be lit. If not, check that the power cord is plugged in and the power button is depressed. If the problem persists, contact your homecare provider.
3| | Oxygen concentration level is properly set. EverFlo should be at or below 3 LPM. Millennium M10 should be at or below 7 LPM.| Check the concentrator’s flow meter.
4| | UltraFill is powered on.| Green light on top panel should be lit. If not, check that the power cord is plugged in and the power button is depressed. If the problem persists, contact your homecare provider.
5| | Conserver or regulator is in the “Off” position.| Inspect visually
6| Startup Checklist| If the conserving device or regulator is not connected during filling, check that the cylinder valve is closed.| Using the cylinder valve wrench provided, turn the valve head clockwise until tight.
7| Startup Checklist| Cylinder is properly connected to the UltraFill device.| One or more lights on the fill-level indicator is solid. No lights should be flashing
8| Startup Checklist| Fill Start/Stop button is depressed and filling has started.| If cylinder is not full, one light on the fill-level indicator will flash.
9| Startup Checklist| Filling complete. Release cylinder from UltraFill.| All lights on the fill-level indicator are solidly lit.

Safe transport

Reasonable care should be taken when moving the UltraFill device across an uneven surface. Follow the general guidelines below when attempting to move UltraFill across the floor, through doorways, and into an elevator.

The proper method for moving the UltraFill device is to first remove the cylinder, then either lift the unit using its two handles or pull the device along its long orientation using one handle.

Never attempt to move the UltraFill device with the cylinder attached or by pushing the top of the unit along its horizontal axis.
