INSTALLATION ON THE WHEELCHAIR

Installation

  1. Clamp for the brake φ 19 mm
  2. Brake carrier
  3. Axis of the brake
  4. Switch handle
  5. Spacer
  6. Brake wheel
  7. Brake handle
  8. Brake lining

Installation is done by using clamp of wheelchair frame, on which you can install the axis carrier, with standard diameter of 19 mm.

Clamp is screwed to the frame of the wheelchair, on the lower part the axis carrier is installed (1) on which the Brake & Go DEZZIV is screwed. The axis of the carrier can also be moved forward if necessary, and helps you set the correct distance to the brake wheel (6) of rubber, that is 4 – 7 mm, or if necessary. Adjustment of the braking wheel is done by rotating the axis (3), hold the axle (3) with screw wrench 13, thus also setting the braking power backwards or forwards. The positioning of the brake wheel (6) to the center of the tire is carried out with the axial turn of the clamp and the axial rotation of the axis of the carrier (1). If this is not possible, it can be done through the redistribution of the distance elements (5) via the brake carrier (2). To replace the brake lining (Top model), first remove the existing brake lining. First place the new brake lining in hot water for 10 minutes, and then place it on the brake wheel.

Brake & Go DEZZIV prevents the wheelchair to automatically move on a slope down, forward or backward, depending on the needs or the switching brake. If you’re moving back and you want to prevent the wheelchair to automatically move forward, set the red handle (4) back into position against yourself and if you want to move it forward and you want to prevent the wheelchair to automatically move back, set the red handle (4) forward to the position than yourself. Brake & Go DEZZIV, normal brake activating with the black handle (7) you normally brake the wheelchair to hold position. Lever brake must be in neutral position !
