Read this booklet thoroughly before using and save it for future reference.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE

  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle.

  • Before using, always check that the electrical rating of the power socket corresponds to that of the appliance.

  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its  service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.

  • Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.

  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

  • The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.

  • Do not place the product on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.

  • To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plug, or the grill in water or other liquid.

  • Do not plug or unplug the product into/from an electrical outlet with a wet hand.

  • If the product falls into water, immediately unplug it from the electrical outlet. Do not touch or reach into the water.

  • Use in a well-ventilated area. Keep at least 4-6 inches of space on all sides to allow adequate air circulation.

  • To disconnect, turn off any control, then remove plug from wall outlet.

  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.

  • The appliance must not be used by an external timer or remote control system. Don’t use an accessory not recommended by the manufacturer.

  • Don’t wrap food with plastic film, polythene bags or metal foil. You’ll damage the grill and may cause a fire hazard. Don’t leave food to cool on the grill. Remove food while hot.

  • Don’t use metal or sharp utensils on the grill. They’ll damage the non-stick cooking surface. Use wooden or plastic spatulas or tongs.

  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  • WARNING: charcoal or similar combustible fuels must not be used with this appliance.

  • CAUTION-‘hot surface’. The appliance generates heat and escaping steam during use. Take proper measures to prevent injury, burn or fire.

  • Do not leave unattended while in use.

  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.

  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

  • Do not use outdoors.

  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    – staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; – farm houses;
    – by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; – bed and breakfast type environments
    CAUTION—To reduce the risk of personal injury:

  • This product is intended solely for indoor, non-commercial, non-industrial, household use in cooking/heating food for human consumption. Do not use the product outdoors or for any other purpose.

  • Do not allow the Power Cord to hang where it may be tripped over or pulled(e.g., over the edge of a table or counter), and do not allow the Cord to touch hot surfaces.

  • Always wear protective oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when using this product and use utensils.

  • To disconnect from the electrical outlet, pull directly on the Plug; do not pull on the Power Cord.

  • Always use the product on a flat, level, stable, heat-resistant surface.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an extension cord is used:

  • The marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least as great as that of the product;
  • The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally; SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

BEFORE FIRST USE

  • Read these instructions before use and keep them safe. If you pass the grill on, pass on the instructions too.
  • Remove all packaging, but keep it until you are satisfied that the grill is working.
  •  Unpack the package, take out all the accessories and clean them according tothe section of “CLEAN AND MAINTENANCE”.
  • Unwind the power cord completely and insert the power plug into a grounded wall outlet.
  • Press the Upper Plate Release Button to remove the upper Grill Plate and then press the Lower Plate Release Button to remove the lower Grill Plate. Clean the Grill Plates, the Drip Cups, and the Scraper/Cleaning Tool in warm, soapy water; rinse and let dry. These parts may also be washed in an automatic dishwasher. NEVER IMMERSE THE BASE INTO OR EXPOSE IT TO WATER.
  • Reinsert the upper and lower Grill Plates into their respective positions before use. See the “Inserting/Changing Plates” subsection below for detailed instructions.

NOTE: When using the Grill Plates for the first time, spray or apply a thin layer of cooking oil onto the nonstick surfaces of the Plates with a paper towel in order to season the nonstick surface. As necessary, reapply a thin layer of cooking oil throughout the life of the Plates to maintain best nonstick performance.
Notice: When your Grill is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or odor. This is normal with many heating appliances. This does not affect the safety of your appliance.

To Assemble

Place the product on a clean, flat, level, stable, heat-resistant surface with at least 4-6 inches of space on all sides to allow adequate air circulation.
Positioning the Upper Housing:

  1. Closed/Heating Position: The Upper Housing is closed and rests on the Base. Use this position when starting/heating the product and when grilling most foods.
  2. Open Position: The Upper Housing is open. Place the Product in this position when starting to use the Grill function, and when grilling certain foods in which the upper Grill Plate is not appropriate, such as pizza or fish. Lift the Handle until the Upper Housing is at about a 90°angle.

Inserting/Changing Plates: Slide the notches in the rear of the lower Grill Plate into the retaining hooks, then press down on the front of the plate to snap it into place. Repeat to attach the upper Grill Plate.

HOW TO USE

WARNING: The Grill Plates and metal surfaces of the Upper Housing and Handle will become very hot during use. To avoid a burn hazard, wear protective oven mitts or heat-resistant gloves when using and touch only the black portion of the Handle.
NOTICE: Use only heat-resistant wooden, plastic, or silicone utensils to add/remove food. Do not use a metal utensil as it may scratch the surface of the item.
NOTE: During the initial use this item may emit some light smoke. This is normal and will subside with further use.
Contact Grill: Use to cook burgers, boneless or thin pieces of meat and fish, and vegetables. In the “Closed” position, food will cook quickly since both sides cook at the same time.
Operation panel instruction:

  1. Panel interface consists of the power button, start/cancel button, and up and down two rows of mode selection of key combination, touch-sensitive keys, meanwhile, there is an indicator light under the button, specific instructions as below.
    • Control panel description (See below): 1. Power On/Off button
    2. Defrost Mode
    3. Manual Mode
    4. Start/Cancel
    5. Preheating mode
    6. Progress bar

Seven cooking modes: BURGER / CHICKEN / SANDWICH/ SAUSAGE /
MEAT / FISH / M

  1. Power button:
    Pressing the power button, the power light on long time, turn on all the indicator lights on the interface at the same time (After 1.5s,except
    BURGER/CHIKEN/SANDWICH/SAUSAGE/MEAT/FISH/M seven cooking mode lights on, all other lights go out, the light status is on standby), press the power button again, turn off the power and all the indicator lights are extinguished. The gears have no memory function, after power off, the next start interface enters the initial state, The power button keep bright throughout the cooking process. If press the power button during cooking, that means the forced shutdown.

  2. Power button:
    Pressing the power button, the power light on long time, turn on all the indicator lights on the interface at the same time (After 1.5s,except
    BURGER/CHIKEN/SANDWICH/SAUSAGE MEAT/FISH/M seven cooking mode lights on, all other lights go out, the light status is on standby), press the power button again, turn off the power and all the indicator lights are extinguished. The gears have no memory function, after power off, the next start interface enters the initial state, The power button keep bright throughout the cooking process. If press the power button during cooking, that means the forced shutdown.

  3. Preheating mode:
    Power button starts, the power lamp is long time go on and goes into standby mode. at the same time all the indicator light go on (after 1.5 S, except BURGER/CHIKEN/SANDWICH/SAUSAGE MEAT/FISH/M seven cooking mode lights on, all other
    lights go out, the user select one of the BURGER/CHIKEN/SANDWICH/SAUSAGE mode (for example BURGER, the BURGER light long time on, the remaining six kinds of cooking mode selection button which are not select and will go out, under the white bar, the PREHEATING button flashing and the start/cancel button flashing)When the user presses the start/cancel button, BURGER/PREHEATING/ start/cancel three buttons will flash at the same time, and the machine will start to preheat. After preheating, the buzzer beeped five times(The frequency is 1Hz. the first 4 sounds are short and the last one is long and lasts 2 seconds).The BURGER/PREHEATING/ two buttons lights are on, and the PREHEATING mode is complete.
    The user select one of the MEAT /FISH mode (for example MEAT, the MEAT light long time on, the remaining six kinds of cooking mode selection button which are not select and will go out, under the white bar, the PREHEATING button flashing and the start/cancel button flashing)When the user presses the start/cancel button, MEAT /PREHEATING/ start/cancel three buttons will flash at the same time, and the machine will start to preheat. After preheating, the buzzer beeped five times(The frequency is 1Hz. the first 4 sounds are short and the last one is long and lasts 2 seconds).The MEAT /PREHEATING/ two buttons lights are on, the RARE/MEDIUM/DONE/WELL-DONE button start flashing, and the PREHEATING mode is complete.

  4. Selection of cooking mode:
    Note that when the user selects one of the BURGER/CHIKEN/ SANDWICH/ SAUSAGE modes, BURGER as an example: after preheating, the buzzer beeped five times(The frequency is 1Hz. The first 4 sounds are short and the last one is long and lasts 2 seconds).,The BURGER/PREHEATING two buttons light are long time on, the start/cancel button flashing, the preheating mode is completed. The light on the four cooking levels (RARE/MEDIUM/DONE/WELL-DONE) below the white bar was off and none of the four buttons responded when pressed. The user put down the food and press start/cancel button, and then the BURGER/DONE/ start/cancel light will be long time on, The middle white bar begins to appear from left to right, When the cooking is finished, the buzzer beeped five times(The frequency is 1Hz. the first 4 sounds are short and the last one is long and lasts 2 seconds). When the user selects MEAT /FISH, for example meat, after preheating, the four cooking levels below the white bar begin to flash, the user selects one of them, for example DONE, and the other three go out. PREHEATING light turn off, start/cancel button flashing. After pressing the start/cancel button, and then the MEAT/DONE/start/cancle three button light long time on .The middle white bar begins to appear from left to right, When the cooking is finished, the buzzer beeped five times (The frequency is 1Hz. The first 4 sounds are short and the last one is long and lasts 2 seconds). The program returns to standby mode, pressing the start/cancel button during cooking to return the machine to standby mode.

  5. Defrost:Food is in state of room temperature or in unthawed, the cooking time is different, so set the DEFROST button. If thawing mode is chosen, the cooking time is increased by 2 minutes on the basis of the set time. For example, choose the DEFROST + MEAT + DONE, the cooking time is 7 minutes. The thawing key must be used in combination with other food selection. After selecting the food button, the thawing button can be pressed. After selecting the food key, the thawing key can be pressed. To cancel the thawing, press it again.

  6. Manual mode selection key:
    In the selection state of mode, if the manual key M is pressed, the top and bottom two rows of buttons are extinguished. the Manual key M indicator light is on and the start/cancel button flashing. If the start/cancel button is pressed at this time,  the manual key M and the start/cancel button light will be on, which means start cooking by hand. Press the start/cancel button again during cooking, and the machine returns to standby, no pressing buttons for more than 30 minutes, the machine turn into sleep mode, Interface display all extinguished, only by pressing the power button again to wake the machine up and it goes into the initialization state. Manual mode M is used separately, not in combination with the any food type selection key, defrost and cooking time selection key.

  7. Start/Cancel: After completing the selection of cooking mode, press the start/cancel button to start cooking. If the cooking state has not been completed in the middle of the process, press the start/cancel button again to return to the standby state.

  8.  Cooking finished:At the end of the selected automatic cooking mode, the buzzer will ring 5 times (The frequency is 1Hz. The first 4 sounds are short and the last one is long and lasts 2 seconds) and then return to standby mode.
    The above described indicator flash frequency is 0.5s once, the color of indicator is white

  9. Sleep mode: After the machine into standby mode, no pressing buttons for more than 30 minutes, the machine turn into sleep mode, Interface display all extinguished, only press the power button again to awaken machine and it goes into the initialization state.
    After selecting the cooking mode,no pressing start/cancel button to start preheating for more than 30 minutes, the machine turn into sleep mode.

  10. NTC test: If there is any contact or damage failure, the machine will stop working automatically and all the indicator lights will flash at a frequency of 1HZ.

  11. Mode switch: In the cooking process, only switching to manual mode is responsive, it can switch to manual mode, the manual button M indicator light is on, the start/cancel button flashing. Press other buttons without response, cannot switch to other cooking mode. If switch to other cooking modes during manual mode, for example BURGER, the BURGER light is on, at this moment, the NTC detection temperature did not reach the preheating temperature, the PREHEATING flash and the start/cancel button flash, and then press the start/cancel button to start cooking food. If the NTC test temperature has reached the PREHEATING  temperature, the PREHEATING light is on, the start/cancel button flashing, press the start/cancel button to start cooking food.

  12.  Progress bar instructions:
    There is a narrow and long area on the panel interface, with LED lights on at the bottom as the progress indicator, as shown in the above scheme.

Progress bar display: The narrow progress bar is divided into four areas, green, yellow, orange and red, and the corresponding color of LED lights are set at the bottom. In standby mode, all LED lights are not on, and the progress bar starts to light up in turn when it is cooking. For example, in MEAT + MEDIUM mode, press the start/cancel button to start cooking. meanwhile,LED1 begins to flash, after flashing for a period of time,LED1 is long time on,LED2 is flashing, after the same time as LED1, the LED2 will long time on, and LED3 will start flashing, thus until the last LED in the red area flashes. When the expected time arrives (e.g., 5 minutes), before the cooking is finished, the last LED will keep flashing until the cooking finished and it will be long time on. After finishing cooking, all the LED lights of the progress bar are lit up, and the buzzer rings 5 times (The frequency is 1Hz. the first 4 sounds are short and the last one is long and lasts 2 seconds). The program returns to standby mode.
M progress bar display: Manual, the progress bar is set to flash at 15 minutes, When the last LED flashes, the cooking continues, the buzzer does not ring, nor does it return to standby, until the start/cancel button is pressed again, the machine returns to standby mode. Progress bar LED flash as per frequency 1 second 1 time.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. This product contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to qualified service personnel.

  2. Before cleaning, disconnect the grill and let it cool down completely. Note: The grill is still very hot. It will take quite a while to cool down.

  3. Press down release button and take apart the roasting trays.

  4. After disassembling the trays, wash the roasting trays in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher. Dry the roasting trays before replacing them on the grill.

  5. Remove the upper and lower drip trays with gloves, empty the drip tray into a heat-proof bowl, rinse them in warm soapy water or in the top rack of the dishwasher and then dry them thoroughly.
    Note: before removing the drip box, make sure the temperature of oil or oil residues in the drip box must be lower than 40℃, otherwise it may burn person for high temperature.

  6. Wipe other surfaces of the grill with a clean damp cloth. Use a paper towel moistening with a little cooking oil to remove the stubborn stain.

  7. Reassemble the roasting trays into grill.
    ➢ Do not immerse the appliance into water or other liquid.
    ➢ Do not use harsh or abrasive cleanser or solvent.
    ➢ Never use scourers, wire wool or soap pads.

STORAGE

  1. Before storing the grill, make sure the grill is clean and dry thoroughly.
  2. Close the grill. And rest it flatly.
  3. Store the grill in a cool dry area out of the reach of children. The grill can not be rested vertically.

At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service.

As a reminder of the need to dispose of household appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.
