Product Information

The AIR COOLER with remote control, model number R-871, is an electrical appliance designed for household use. It operates on a rated voltage of 220-240V~ and a rated frequency of 50/60Hz. The cooler has a power capacity of 65W and a water tank capacity of 6.0L. The structure and parts of the cooler include a manual louver frame, front board, filter, power cord, casters, rear board, water tank, water fill cover, power cord storage, control panel, and ice crystal box.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the cooler is placed on a flat and stable surface before using it.
  2. To enhance cooling, you can add ice blocks into the upper water slot or use an ice box placed directly into the water tank. For optimal cooling efficiency, freeze the ice pack in your refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours before using it.
  3. If you need to replace or clean the water tank, you can completely pull it out and perform the necessary maintenance.
  4. To remove the dust-proof bracket and honeycomb filter for cleaning or replacement, follow these steps:
  5. Pull out the dust-proof bracket.
  6. Rotate the filter knobs outwards.
  7. Take out the honeycomb filter.
  8. To turn off the cooler, simply touch the ON/OFF button on the control panel.
  9. If you want to completely shut down the unit, touch ON/OFF and remove the plug from the socket-outlet.

When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed, including the following:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING

According to instruction: EN 60335-2-98:2003/A11:2019:

  • Be aware that high humidity levels may encourage the growth of biological organisms in the environment.
  • Do not permit the area around the Air Cooler to become damp or wet. If dampness occurs, turn the output of the Air Cooler down. If the Air Cooler output volume cannot be turned down, use the Air Cooler intermittently. Do not allow absorbent materials, such as carpeting, curtains, drapes, or tablecloths, to become damp.
  • Unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning.
  • Never leave water in the reservoir when the appliance is not in use.
  • Empty and clean the Air Cooler before storage. Clean the Air Cooler before next use.

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or injury to person:

  1. The product is for household use only.
  2. Connect the appliance to a single-phase AC supply of the voltage specified on the rating label.
  3. Always turn the product to the OFF position and unplug it from the electrical outlet when not in use.
  4. Extreme caution is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children, invalids or elderly persons.
  5. Do not run the cord under carpeting and do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like. Arrange the cord away from the traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
  6. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the unit malfunctions, has been dropped, or is damaged in any manner.
  7. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
  8. Use the appliance in a well-ventilated area. While using, a distance of no less than 20cm should be kept away from wall or corner to ensure the air intakes or exhaust openings should not be blocked unexpectedly. The unit must not be located immediately below or beside a curtain or the likes.
  9. Do not insert or allow fingers or any other objects into the grill to avoid mechanical danger when in use. Do not block air intakes or exhaust openings in any manner.
  10. Adequate clean water should be put into the tank within the water level limits as shown by the water level indicator. Make sure that you DO NOT add water whilst the power is on.
  11. If you want to move the product whilst water is in the tank, unplug it and push it slowly and very lightly on the side of the unit to avoid water spillage. The best method would be to drain the unit using the valve at the bottom of the unit.
  12. Please keep the ice crystals box provided away from children, as it is a chemical-based substance that is harmful if swallowed. Also make sure that the ice pack is not placed in direct sunshine. The ice crystal can be used over 5 years. When scrapping the appliance, follow the regulations concerning the disposal of ice crystals.
  13. Use the appliance on flat, dry floor only.
  14. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  15. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  1. MODE: when the product is in working, touch M ODE one time or more times, the corresponding icon will be light up and the mode is cycled as follows:Rohnson-R-871-Air-Cooler-with-Remote-Control-fig-3
  2. SPEED: touch SPEED one time or more times, and the wind speed is cycled as follows :
  3. VANE: touch VANE one time or more times, automatic horizontal swing will be start or stop, the corresponding indicator light will be on or off.
  4. COOL: touch COOL ””, cool function start working and the indicator light will b e light up.
  5. TIMER: when the unit is working, touch TIMER one time or more times, the timer will be cycled as follows :
  6. SAVE the first time to touch SAVE, all the indicator light will be off, touch again, all the indicator light will be on.
  7. The display for temperature and timer share the same display screen. The ambient temperature is displayed when the power is turned on, and the corresponding icon lights up. Touch TIMER ”, the timer icon lights up. After the timer is set, the ambient temperature will be displayed again a few seconds late r
  8. Touch ON/OFF one time at any time, the product will be stopped working. But if in COOL function, the product will be delayed to shutdown for about 5 minutes, then automatic shutdown after the filter is dry.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. When using the appliance make sure that it is on a flat and stable surface. Damage may occur if it is placed on an incline or decline.   2. Insert the plug directly into a standard AC socket outlet. Be sure the plug fits tightly into the outlet.

  3. “COOLING” Touch
    Note: don’t use this button without water, to avoid damage to parts. Press the button, the water pump start to work, the wind will be cooler and wet.
    3-1 Before operating the unit in Cool mode, make sure the escape valve for the water tank is properly fixed. Then proceed to add clean water into the water tank. While adding the water, make sure that you keep an eye on the water level indicator to make sure that you do not OVER or UNDER FILL the unit. Press the button Cool after you have added the water and the unit should commence to blow cooler air. When you press the button Cool again, it will stop working.
    3-2 If you find that the air after Step 1) is still not cool enough, you can add an additional ice block into the water tank directly by opening the water tank cover. Be sure not to exceed the icebox capacity otherwise damage to the unit or electric shock may occur.

To turn off the unit just Touch the ON/OFF.
To completely shut the unit off, touch ON/OFF, and remove plug from the socket-outlet.

MAINTENANCE

  1. Always remove the plug from the socket-outlet and allow the fan blower to stop acting before clean it.

  2. Clean the external surfaces of the unit with a soft damp (not dripping wet) cloth.
    WARNING:
    Do not immerse the unit in water.
    Do not use any cleaning chemicals such as detergents and abrasives.
    Do not allow the interior (special for the PCB) to get wet as this could create a hazard.

  3. After extended periods of use, be sure to replace the water in the tank with fresh clean water at least weekly. Also remember to clean the filter by unscrewing the filter and removing the filter cradle. It should be cleaned in a mild soapy solution and then left to dry before replacing the filter.

  4. When the unit is not in use, make sure that it is unplugged from the wall socket, water is drained thoroughly and it is placed back into its original box for storage until later use.

  5. In case of malfunction or doubt, do not try to repair the fan yourself, it may result in a fire hazard or electric shock.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH EC DIRECTIVE 2002/96/EC.
At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health, deriving form inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of household appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.
