Product Information
The IDS-106GE Industrial Gigabit Ethernet Switch is an unmanaged switch designed for industrial applications. It features 8 ports, with 6 RJ45 ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps and 2 SFP slots for 100/1000Base-X SFP modules. The switch is supplied by Perle, Cisco, or other MSA compliant manufacturers. It has a fan-less design with no moving parts, allowing for reliable operation in harsh industrial environments. Product Usage Instructions
To use the IDS-106GE Industrial Gigabit Ethernet Switch, follow these instructions:
- Mount the switch on a standard 35 mm DIN rail using the included mounting kit.
- Connect your network devices to the switch using RJ45 cables. The switch has 6 RJ45 ports supporting 10/100/1000Base-TX.
- If you need to connect devices using fiber optic cables, insert compatible 100/1000Base-X SFP modules into the 2 available SFP slots.
- Ensure that the power input is within the supported range of 9-55VDC. Connect the power source to the 7-Pin Removable Terminal Block power connector.
- The Power LED 1 and Power LED 2 should turn green, indicating that power is applied.
- If a fault is detected, the Fault LED will turn red. Check the connections and power source if this occurs.
- The RJ45 / SFP Ethernet LEDs will indicate link status and activity. A solid green light means an established link, and blinking green indicates activity on that port.
