Can the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch be connected to the mobile phone
directly?
The Aqara Wireless Mini Switch cannot be connected to the mobile phone
directly. An Aqara Hub is required, please connect the Aqara Hub with the
mobile phone, and then connect the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch to the hub.
What actions does the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch support? It supports
single press, double press, and long press. It can control other smart devices
with different actions.
What is the maximum installation distance between the Aqara Wireless Mini
Switch and the hub?
The indoor environment varies, and maximum signal strength between the hub and
the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch is different. There should not be more than two
walls in between.
How do I connect the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch to the hub/app?
Please follow the steps below: Aqara Home App>Accessory>”+”>select Aqara
Wireless Mini Switch>select hub>long press on the reset button for 5s until
the LED indicator blinks for 3 times and then follow the app instruction.
How do I reset the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch? Under what circumstances
does it need to be reset?
- Press and hold the reset button on the device for 5 seconds. The indicator will flash 3 times before resetting to factory settings.
- If a device needs to be paired with another Aqara Hub, it will need to be reset before the new pairing will succeed.
Why does the Acara Wireless Mini Switch sometimes go offline?
Possible reasons:
- The accessory is too far from the hub. Please install it closer to the hub.
- Low battery or dead battery. Please replace the battery.
- The accessory is installed on metal and the signal is being interfered with. The accessory should be installed away from metal.
How do I check if Aqara Wireless Mini Switch works properly?
- Press the reset button on the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch. If the Aqara Hub prompts voice message “Normal link confirmed”, it indicates the hub and Aqara Wireless Mini Switch are connected.
- If it does not prompt any voice message, please move the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch closer to the hub and try again.
- If there are still no voice messages, the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch might be deleted or the battery has run down. Please refer to the user manual for instructions to add again or replace the battery.
- Single press/double press/long press the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch several times and go to the homepage of the app and select the tile for the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch to check. If the status changes, it indicates the accessory is working properly.
What if I could not connect the Acara Wireless Mini Switch to the app?
- Check to see if the hub’s firmware version is up to date.
- Check if the hub is already in the pairing mode.
- Check if the wireless mini switch is reset successfully, and the LED indicator is blinking as expected.
- Keep the wireless mini switch as close as possible to the hub and keep trying.
- Try with another child device to see if there is something wrong with the sensor itself.
- Try with another hub and see if there is something wrong with the previous hub.
- Please be aware that we can add no more than 32 child devices to a hub at the same time.
Does the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch support the SmartThijngs hub or other
brands’ hubs?
The Aqara Wireless Mini Switch must be paired with an Aqara Hub. We do not
support and cannot guarantee the reliability of the sensor when paired with
non-Aqara products.
Why does the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch not power on?
- Please confirm if the blue battery tape was pulled out.
- Please check if the battery has a full charge.
How do I change the battery of the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch?
- Use a coin to to rotate the battery cover counter clockwise until the cover loosens.
- Remove the existing battery. Place the new CR2032 battery in the battery compartment and make sure that the positive side of the battery faces upwards.
- Align the battery cover with the bottom of the Aqara Wireless Mini Switch. Use a coin to rotate the battery cover clockwise until you hear a click. The battery cover is successfully replaced.
