- Before connecting the kettle to a power source, check whether the voltage indicated on the bottom of the kettle and base unit corresponds with the main voltage in your home.
- Do not touch hot surfaces or hot water. Use handles. Care must be taken since burns can occur from touching hot parts or from spilled hot liquid.
- To protect against fire, electric shock, and personal injury, do not immerse cord, plug, power base, or electric kettle in water or other liquid.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and allow the kettle to cool before cleaning.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Call our toll-free customer service number on 1.855.926.2626 for immediate assistance.

- This kettle should not be used by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety

DESCALING YOUR KETTLE
Residue, odor and spotting found inside your kettle are most likely caused by lime scale which consists of natural deposits (calcium, magnesium, iron and copper) that may build up depending on the water in your area.
While you do not need to worry about hygienic or health related issues, we do strongly recommend descaling your kettle from time to time to avoid lime scale build-up and other issues
What you need:
Water and vinegar or lemon juice
Steps:
- Mix a solution that is 3/4 parts water to 1/4 part vinegar or lemon juice.
- Pour solution into kettle and close the lid.
- Bring solution to a boil and leave for 5-8 hours.
- Discard solution.
- If the problem persists, repeat from Step 1 until lime scale dissipates.
- Caution: the solution may be extremely hot during this process.
CARE & MANINTENACE
- Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth or sponge.
- Remove water spots with a damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive scouring pads.
- Never immerse the kettle in water or other liquids.
- From time to time, depending on the nature of your water supply, lime scale will be naturally formed and can be found mostly on the heating element; thus, reducing the heating efficiency. Empty your kettle after each use. Leaving water inside can contribute to mineral build-up. (Refer to the descaling instructions on Page 8).
