Ring 2540AH640L-A06FX Video Doorbell Pro Faceplate
With a colored faceplate for Ring Video Doorbell Pro, you can personalize your security. It Easily snaps into place and is secured by the security screw already present on your doorbell and Functions only with Ring Video Doorbell Pro.

DOWNLOAD THE RING APP
- The Ring app will walk you through the setup and installation processes. The app is available for iOS, Android, Mac Desktop, and Windows 10.
- Search for “Ring” in one of the app stores above, or visit: ring.com/app

- If you need help, reference the in-app video
- There’s a video in the Ring app on the installation process outlined in this manual. We recommend watching that first, and referring to this manual if you need extra help.
- Select the + sign to Add a New Device (or tap Set Up a Device), then select Video Doorbell Pro to access this video:

Check out all the cool stuff in the box
- 1 SCREWDRIVER: Use the Phillips end for the mounting screws and star-shaped end for the security screw.
- 3 ANCHORS: For installing on concrete, stucco, or brick.
- 1 DRILL BIT: To drill holes for the (optional) anchors.
- 3 MOUNTING SCREWS: Use two to mount your Ring.
- 2 SECURITY SCREWS: Use one to secure the faceplate.
- 2 EXTRA WIRES: To attach your existing wires to your Ring.
- 2 WIRE CONNECTORS: To connect the extra wires (above) to your existing wires.
STEP 4
REMOVE YOUR EXISTING DOORBELL
Remove your existing doorbell from the wall and disconnect the wires.
STEP 5
INSTALL ANCHORS (OPTIONAL)
On stucco, brick, or concrete, use the provided bit to drill two holes in
your wall, and install the anchors. If you’re installing on wood or siding,
put the anchors in that drawer of stuff you never use and skip this step.

REMOVE THE FACEPLATE
Remove the faceplate on your Ring Doorbell Pro to access the mounting holes.
After your Ring Doorbell is installed, remove the faceplate like this:

CONNECT YOUR RING TO YOUR EXISTING WIRES
- Connect your Ring Doorbell to your existing doorbell wiring. Then feed the wiring into your wall, and screw in your Ring Doorbell.
- The wire clips and extra wires are optional. Use them if you can’t connect your wires directly to the screw terminals.
- It doesn’t matter which wire connects to which screw.
STEP 8
RESTORE POWER AT THE BREAKER
The hard part is over–congrats! After restoring power at the breaker, open
the Ring app, select the option to Set Up a New Device, and follow the in-app
instructions.

Can the faceplate on a Ring doorbell be changed?****
Don’t worry if you’re utilizing a replacement faceplate. Despite their various hues, all Ring Doorbell faceplates are interchangeable. Ideal if your old faceplate was scratched or somehow damaged, or if you just want to change the color of your Ring doorbell.
Does the Pro ring have a faceplate?****
The Ring Video Doorbell Pro ships with the following items: Pro Ring Video Doorbell Faceplate in satin nickel. You will be sent a digital code for a free extra faceplate following device setup.

Does Ring still record while WiFi is down?****

Using a standard micro-USB cable, all Ring doorbells that run on batteries may be charged (included in the box). Any USB power supply, such a computer or charging brick, can be connected to the micro-USB cable. This could take 6 to 8 hours, depending on how much charge your battery needs.
If the Ring doorbell is hardwired, do you still need to charge it?****
Operation Powered by a Battery. If your Ring Video Doorbell 2 is connected permanently to an existing doorbell, regular use will keep it charged. The battery needs to be regularly recharged if your Ring Video Doorbell 2 is not hardwired.
How can I tell when the battery in my Ring camera is fully charged?****
Any micro-USB charger can be connected to the battery’s charging connector. Both the red and green lights will illuminate when charging. When the battery light is a solid shade of green, your battery is fully charged. Reinstall the fully charged battery in Spotlight Cam by sliding it in until it clicks into position.
