nubert AS-225 Soundbase NuBoxx Max Installation
Product Information
The Soundbase nuBoxx AS-225 max is a high-quality audio device designed for an immersive sound experience. It features vibration-absorbing elastic buffers for a secure footing and prevents scratching of the speaker. The sound base is equipped with various connectivity options, including Bluetooth, to connect devices such as smartphones and subwoofers. It also has an automatic standby function and the ability to reset to factory settings.
Product Usage Instructions
Setup
Place the sound base at the desired location and ensure that it is not
scratched. Do not drop anything into the box through the bass reflex tubes.
Use the provided vibration-absorbing elastic buffers as feet for secure
footing. The sound base should not be set up without these buffers.
Connections
Before switching on the sound base, connect all players and subwoofers to
it. To connect a device via Bluetooth for the first time, perform a pairing
process. When using the sound base for the first time, the pairing process
starts automatically when you switch to the Bluetooth input. To connect to
another device, press the pairing button on the remote control to initiate the
pairing process. The sound base will switch to Bluetooth input, and it can be
paired with appropriate players like smartphones within 2 minutes. The LED
will indicate a successful connection. The sound base has an automatic standby
function that deactivates it after 20 minutes of no sound signal. To activate
or deactivate this function, press the wide button on the remote control for 8
seconds within 15 seconds after switching on the sound base. The LED ring will
confirm the activation or deactivation of the automatic standby function.
Factory Reset
To reset the sound base to factory settings, press the mute x button on the
remote control for at least 3 seconds until the LED ring starts flashing red.
Within 10 seconds, press the p3 button to confirm the reset. The soundbase
will restart with all factory settings.
Operation on the Device
To turn the sound base on or off, press the rotary control on the front for
3 seconds. If the soundbase is in stand-by mode, this will deactivate the
automatic switch-on function. Adjust the volume by rotating the rotary control
in the desired direction. Each LED represents a volume value, with full
brightness indicating 3dB increments and reduced brightness indicating 1.5dB
increments. The LED ring color provides information about the current audio
signal, such as Dolby Digital (pink) or PCM (white). Additional functions can
be accessed by repeatedly pressing the control dial, including input
selection.

Danger! Be careful not to scratch the speaker! Don’t drop anything into the box through the bass reflex tubes!
First set up the soundbase at the intended place of use. A few notes on
this:
Bassreflexöffnungen, Klang
The rear arrangement of the bass reflex openings means that the AS-225 should
be at least 5 centimeters away from the rear wall in order to ensure problem-
free operation and to avoid flow noise. With a generous distance from the wall
– also to the side – you reduce an increase in the bass and fundamental tone
range. When set up on shelves, the best sound is achieved when the front edge
of the box is either flush with the shelves or even protrudes slightly.
feet
Vibration-absorbing elastic buffers are used as feet for the AS-225 to ensure
a secure footing. The soundbase should not be set up without these elastic
buffers
connections
-
ÿAt the HDMI eARC input, a TV with ARC or eARC audio output can be connected.
Notes : Make sure you activate the CEC and ARC functions on the TV. Depending on the TV and audio material, it may be necessary to specify the audio output via PCM or Dolby Digital in the TV menu. -
ÿThe inputs AUX, COAX and OPTICAL allow the connection of standard hi-fi devices such as CD players or network streamers.
-
ÿThe SUB OUT becomes a mono off output signal to supply a subwoofer. By plugging in a cinch plug at the SUB OUT, a high-pass filter is automatically activated for the soundbase in order to relieve it of the low bass and to ensure an ideal transition to the subwoofer (80 Hz, 12 dB).
-
ÿSpannungsversorgung
The included power cord is connected to the power socket on the back of the speaker, thereby establishing the connection to the power supply. Now turn on the soundbase by turning the switch next to the mains socket to the ON position! (If necessary, “wake up” the AS-225 from stand-by mode using the remote control.) -
Bluetooth
To connect a device to the soundbase via Bluetooth for the first time, a so- called pairing process must be carried out. The sound base automatically switches to the Bluetooth input (LED flashes) and can now be found and paired by appropriate players such as smartphones for 2 minutes. The LED lights up continuously to indicate an existing connection.
Stand-by-Automatik
-
The sound base has an automatic stand-by function that deactivates it after 20 minutes without a sound signal at the latest. This function is explained in detail in the safety instructions, technical data, warranty provisions leaflet .
-
It can be activated or deactivated by pressing the wide button on the remote control for 8 seconds within 15 seconds after switching on.
The LED ring flashes once to confirm that the automatic stand-by function has been deactivated. -
The LED ring flashes three times to confirm that the function has been (re)activated.
factory reset
- To reset the sound base to factory settings, first press the mute x button on the remote control for at least 3 seconds until the LED ring starts flashing red. The reset must be confirmed within 10 seconds by pressing the p3 button. The soundbase restarts with all factory settings.
Operation on the device
