Product Usage Instructions

  1. If you experience low suction pressure, ensure all parts are assembled securely. Check if the funnels are completely sealed around the breasts and also make sure your milk valves are not torn. If there is still low suction pressure, please contact Pigeon Customer Care.
  2. If you notice water leakage at the bottom motor unit, you may continue the pumping session. After the session, disconnect the tubing from the motor unit and turn it on to let it run for 30 minutes to purge out remaining water. To prevent this problem from occurring, do not wash the tube and ensure inner cups are not torn.
  3. If there is milk leakage from the motor unit, turn off the motor unit and check if the inner cup is torn or damaged. If it is not torn or damaged and the motor unit is working, you may continue pumping. If the motor unit is not working, please contact Pigeon Customer Care.
  4. Please contact Pigeon Customer Care for any other issues or concerns.

Breast pump parts
Press and hold the ON/OFF button to switch on the pump. By default, it will be in the stimulation mode. When a let-down (sudden gush of breast milk) occurs, press the Mode Switch button to switch to Expression mode. The suction level can be adjusted to your level of comfort.

Danger: To reduce the risk of electrocution:

  • Always unplug this product immediately after using.
  • Do not use while bathing.
  • Do not place or store this product where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
  • Do not place or drop pump into water or other liquid.
  • Do not reach for a product that has fallen into water. Unplug from the power socket immediately.

Warning: To reduce the risk of burns, electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:

  • Close supervision is necessary when this product is used near children or invalids.
  • This product should never be left unattended when plugged in.
  • Use this product only for its intended use as described in this manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.
  • There are no user serviceable parts inside the pump. Do not attempt to open, service or repair the breast pump yourself.
  • Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water.
  • Do not use this product if it is broken or any parts are missing.
  • Do not use while sleeping or drowsy.
  • Wipe thoroughly if there is dust on the AC adapter attachment plug. Failure to do so mav cause fire.
  • Do not disassemble or modify the AC adapter and motor. Doing so may cause fire as a result of electric shock or contamination.
  • Do not insert or remove the AC adapter attachment plug with wet hands. Also, do not hold motor unit with wet hands. Doing so may cause electric shock.
  • Be careful not to damage the AC adapter. (Do not scratch, modify, place near a heater, bend excessively, twist, pull, place heavy objects on, or bundle it.) Doing so may cause fire, electric shock, or product failure.
  • Never use an AC adapter other than the one provided. Doing so may cause fire, electric shock, or product failure.
  • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Do not drop or insert any object into any opening or tubing.
  • Do not allow small children or pets to play with the pump unit, AC adapter, etc.
  • Do not use outdoors with the AC adapter or operate where aerosol spray products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

Caution

  • This breast pump is intended for use by a single user only.
  • Do not use excessively or for continued suction. Doing so may cause nipple pain
  • Stop using the breast pump if your nipples are sore. Continued use may cause your symptoms to worsen.
  • Do not wipe with thinners, benzine, or alcohol. Doing so will cause deformities and damage.
  • Do not use cleansers that contain abrasives. Doing so will cause scratches to the product.
  • Do not leave it near an open flame. Doing so will cause deformities and damage.
  • Do not subject the pump to severe shocks such as dropping or throwing. Doing so may cause malfunction or damage.
  • Do not express more than 160 ml of liquid into the bottle. The expressed breast milk may overflow.
  • Prior to using the pump, check to make sure there are no abnormalities such as scratches, breaks, cracks, or deformities.
  • Clean your hands before expressing.
  • Wash and sterilize before using.
  • The parts of the pump which come directly into contact with milk are personal care items and should not be shared between mothers.

How to disassemble

Please disassemble the parts that were pre-assembled at the time of purchase Do not wash or sterilize the tube and tube connector.

  1. Twist to remove the lid.

  2. Remove the inner cup.

  3.  Remove the milk valve from the pump body.

How to assemble

Before assembling, dry off the parts by shaking off any excessive water after washing and sterilizing

  1. Insert the inner cup into the pump body.
    Tip: Please make sure that the inner cup is not turned inside out.
    Note

  2. Align the symbol on the lid with the A symbol on the pump body, insert it, and turn it clockwise until it stops. Pigeon -GoMini -Plus- Electric -Breast -Pump - 12

  3. Attach the milk valve to the pump body.

  5. Press the bottle into the bottle stand.
    Tip: Using the pump with the bottle stand keeps it from toppling easily.

  7. Attach the funnel to the pump body.

  8. Insert one end of the tube into the pump body.

  10. Plug the USB power cable to the power adapter and the micro-USB cable to the motor. Secure the pin plug to the power adapter before plugging into the socket.

Tip: Other than using the power adapter to supply power, you can also connect the USB power cable to a portable power source (with output specification of 5V, IA).

Note
The power adapter sometimes heats up during use. It is not a malfunction.

How to use

Note
This product is intended to help lactating mothers to express and collect breast milk. Contact healthcare professional or breastfeeding specialist if you have any breastfeeding related conditions/ symptoms.

Fitting the funnel properly

  • Place the funnel on the breast so that the nipple is properly centered in the funnel.
  • Press the funnel firmly against your breast so that air does not escape from the sides.

Tip

  • The estimated duration for expressing each breast is 20 minutes.
  • The volume of breast milk expressed varies with the condition of the breast and the individual’s condition.
  • Please observe your condition while expressing.

Note

  • Please observe your condition while you adjust the suction pressure to something that is right for you. Sudden increase in suction pressure may cause nipple pain.
  • Do not over-express or express for a prolonged period. Doing so may cause nipple pain.
  • It is normal to hear clicking sounds during operation. The sound emitted is due to the release of pressure from the milk valve.

Stimulation mode
Gently stimulate your breast using a slow rhythm.
When a let-down starts

Expression Mode
Select the preferred suction pressure.

Stimulation mode – 1 Level
Long press the power button to enter the Stimulation mode. When a let-down (sudden gush of breast milk) occurs, press the button to switch to Expression mode.

Expression mode – 5 Levels
Upon selecting the Expression mode, press to select the preferred suction pressure (5 levels). The suction pressure increases for each level. Each level has 3 phases of suction power (kpa) that gradually increase and decrease.
Please wash after use. (Refer to page 12-13)

How to operate the motor

  1. Power
    •  Power On: Long press
    • Power Off: Long press
    • Power cuts off automatically 30 minutes after the power is switched on.
  2.  Pause/Resume
    • Press once to pause
    • Press again to resume
    • Power cuts off automatically 30 minutes after the resume button is pressed.
  3.  Stimulation mode
    • When the power is switched on, the pump automatically enters the stimulation mode.
  4.  Expression mode
    • Press to enter the Expression mode. (After entering this mode, the pump automatically switches to suction pressure Level 3.)
    • Switching modes: Press again to return to the Stimulation mode.
    • Suction pressure: Press to adjust the suction pressure.

LED Indicator

  • Stimulation mode: blinks from the first floral indicator to the fifth floral indicator.
  • Expression mode: lights up from the first to third floral indicator, then additional floral indicator light up or go off as you press

How to store expressed breast milk

Storage period
You are advised to feed freshly expressed breast milk to your baby as soon as possible. It is recommended not to store breast milk for longer than the duration indicated below.

  • If thawed by immersing in warm water, do not place back in the refrigerator.

How to thaw frozen breast milk
Thaw breast milk using method 1, 2 or 3′.

  1. Immerse in warm water at around 40°C.
  2.  Place in the refrigerator.
    • For up to 24 hours after taken out of the freezer.
  3. Place under warm running water
    • Do not refreeze thawed breast milk.
    •  Wipe the liquid off the outer surface of the nursing bottle with a clean cloth after thawing or warming in a lukewarm water bath.

How to warm to suitable temperature for feeding
Immerse in warm water at around 40°C. Change water when it gets cold after some time. Keep repeating process until the milk is of the right temperature for feeding. Alternatively, you may use electric bottle warmer for convenient and hassle-free way of warming a feed

  • Breast milk may separate during storage. This is normal and does not affect its nutritional content. Swirl gently before feeding.
  • When going out, it is recommended that you transport the breast milk in a frozen state (without thawing it).

Note

  • Do not boil or use boiling water or a microwave to thaw or heat chilled or frozen breast milk. Doing so will destroy the nutrients in breast milk.
  • Do not thaw breast milk at room temperature.
  • Do not mix newly-expressed breast milk with the breast milk that has been stored.
  • The scale on the bottle is for reference only. If you need an accurate measurement, use a measuring cup or a measuring spoon.
  • Please note that the refrigerator’s temperature may vary with the frequency of opening and closing the refrigerator door, as well as position in the refrigerator.

How to wash and sterilize

Washing

  • Precautions
  • Please disassemble all parts before washing and sterilizing.
  • The tube and tube connector cannot be washed and sterilized. Doing so may cause a malfunction. Please wipe with a dry cloth.

Wash well with cleanser

  • Use cleanser such as the “PIGEON Liquid Cleanser”.
  • The breast pump contains many small parts. Please be careful not to lose the small parts during washing.
  • Use a sponge brush for washing
  • For washing of the milk valves and inner cups, soak them in lukewarm water and wash using Pigeon Liquid Cleanser. Use fingers to rub gently as strong pressure might cause damage. Do not use brush when washing milk valves and inner cups (see diagram).
  • Parts made of silicone rubber may be damaged or scratched if they are handled roughly. Please handle with care.
  • If the motor ump unit or tube becomes dirty, please wipe with a dry clean cloth.

Sterilizing
After washing, sterilize using one of the following methods.

Boiling sterilization

Place thoroughly washed parts in a large pot filled with water. Bring to a boil. (Sterilization time is 5 minutes after the water comes to a boil).

  • If there is insufficient water, the parts may stick to the side of the pot and become deformed.
  • Do not boil excessively. Doing so can damage the product quickly.

Chemical sterilization

Use sterilization products made specifically for baby products. Follow instruction in the user’s manual for these products.

Steam sterilization

  • It is recommended to use a Pigeon steam sterilizer for steam sterilization. When using an electric steam sterilizer, please follow its operating instructions.

Other sterilization methods

  • Do not use dry heat or a dishwasher / dryer to sterilize the parts. Doing so may cause deformation or damage.
  • Parts are hot immediately after sterilizing. Please use caution to avoid injury.

Troubleshooting

Problem Solution
Low and no suction pressure Do ensure all parts are assembled securely. Check

if the funnels are completely sealed around the breasts and also make sure your milk valves are not torn. If there is still low suction pressure, please contact Pigeon Customer Care.
Water leakage at motor unit| If you experience water leak at the bottom motor unit, you may consider to continue pumping session. After the session, disconnect tubing from motor unit and turn it on to let it run for 30 minutes to purge out remaining water in the motor unit. To prevent this problem from occurring, please do not wash the tube and ensure inner cups are not torn.
Milk leakage from the motor unit (back Dow of breast milk)| If there is milk leakage from the motor unit, please turn o□ the motor unit and check if the inner cup is torn or damaged. If it is not torn or damaged and the motor unit is working, you may wish to continue pumping. If the motor unit is not working, please contact Pigeon Customer Care.
Motor unit is not working well or does not automatically shut o□ 30 minutes after switched on or after paused and resumed| Please contact Pigeon Customer Care.
