Security Precautions
- Carefully READ the instruction in this manual before use.
- Certainly to OBSERVE the INSTRUCTION in this manual regarding the convention of safety symbols and messages
- Please KEEP this user MANUAL nearby for anytime reference.
Safety Symbol and Message Conventions
Below-described safety symbols and messages are to prevent bodily injury and property damage. Before operating the amplifier, read this manual first so you completely know the potential safety hazard and understand the meaning of the safety symbols and messages.
WARNING
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if mishandled, could result in death or serious body injury, and/or property damage.
CAUTION
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation, which, if mishandled, could result in moderate or minor body injury, and/or property damage.
IMPORTANT WARNING
When Installing the Amplifier
- DO NOT install or mount the amplifier in unstable locations, such as on a rickety table or a slanted surface. It may result in the amplifier falling down and causing body injury and/or property damage.
- Be sure to ground to the safety ground (earth) terminal to avoid electric shock. Never to ground to a gas pipe for tragic disaster may occur.
- Use the amplifier only with the voltage specified on the amplifier. Using a voltage higher than specified may cause fire or electric shock.
- DO NOT cut, twist, damage, or modify the power supply cord. In addition, avoid using the power cord close to heaters, and don’t place heavy objects, including the amplifier itself, on the power cord, for it may cause fire or electric shock.
- DO NOT expose the amplifier to rain or the environment where it may be splashed by water or other liquids, for doing so, it may cause fire or electric shock.
IMPORTANT CAUTION
When Installing the Amplifier
- DO NOT remove nor plug in the power supply plug with wet hands, for it may cause electric shock.
- When unplug the power supply cord, be sure to grasp the power supply plug. DO NOT pull on the cord myself. Operating the amplifier with a damaged power supply cord may cause fire or electric shock.
- Avoid installing the amplifier in humid or dusty places, the area exposed to direct sunlight, locations generating smoke or steam, or the spot near the heaters. It may result in fire or electric shock.
- When moving the amplifier, be sure to remove its power supply cord from the wall outlet. Moving the amplifier with the power cord connected to the outlet may cause damage to the power cord, and result in fire or electric shock. When removing the power cord, be sure to grasp its plug to pull.
- DO NOT block the ventilation slots of the amplifier chassis. It will! cause the temperature to rise and result in fire.
When Using the Amplifier
- Make sure that the volume control is turned to a minimum position before the power is switched on. The loud sound produced at high volume when power is switched on may impair hearing.
- DO NOT place heavy objects on the amplifier, for it may cause it to fall and may result in body injury and/or property damage. Besides, the object itself may cause damage or body injury.
- DO NOT operate the amplifier for an extended period of time with the sound distorting. It is an indication of malfunction, which can cause heat and result in fire.
- Switch the power off, and unplug the power supply plug from the AC outlet for safety purposes, when cleaning or leaving the amplifier unused for 7 days or more. Fire or electric shock may occur.
- If the dust accumulates on the power supply plug or in the wall AC outlet, a fire may result. Clean it periodically. In addition, make sure the plug is inserted into the wall outlet securely.
- Contact your local dealer to clean the dust, if the dust has accumulated in the amplifier for a long period of time. Dust accumulation may result in fire or damage.
Description
- WA-612E series is the mixer amplifier designed for a total of 6 inputs (channel) applications. They include 3 AUX and up to 5 microphone connectors. The series includes the models of output power 120W.
- 5 of 6 inputs have their own level control on the front panel, while the 6th level control is on the rear panel. It is convenient for the user to control. Besides, there are 1 Master control of output volume and 2 tone controls: Bass and Treble.
- The output connection is a speaker screw terminal with a low impedance of 8 ohms, and high levels of 25V and 70V. Choose only one of these output connections to match the speaker. 6 LED indicators show the output level. Furthermore, it has AUX and Tape output.
- To ensure the amplifier’s safety, it has speaker short, over temperature, and overload protection.
- Besides the AC power source, it has a DC 24V input power screw connector as the backup power source.
- WA-612E series is the ideal and convenient mixer amplifier for multi-input applications.

Mains Connection
The supply transformer has been designed for use on 11 SVac or 230Vac.
Battery Connection (24Vdc)
When using external batteries, earth the amplifier via the screw terminal
because of the high voltage present. The electrical stability of the system is
increased by earthing the case.
NOTE: the connection cable must be fitted with an in-line fuse. Quick
blow type F1 OA when Connecting batteries please ensure correct polarity.
Microphone Connection
Mic1 ~5 inputs are balanced standard XLR Jack, the rear panel.
- Tip: signal (live)
- Ring: Signal (Return)
- Sleeve: Screen
Line (Aux/CD) Connection
The equipment provides an auxiliary input that may be used for connecting other signal sources such as a Radio Tuner, CD, or Cassette player. A push switch is located on the read panel for the selection of, Mic3->Tel, Mic4->Aux1, Mic5->Aux2. The line level Control operates on each of the input sources. To operate select the desired music source using the push switch and tum the “Channel” control clockwise to increase the volume or anticlockwise to reduce the volume.
The Aux/input sockets are standard stereo RCA Jack, single sockets are supplied and these are linked together internally, this allows a stereo signal source to be used without the need to obtain a special lead, however, you may wish to check with the manufacturer of the signal source to ensure that no damage will result if the left and right output channels are put in parallel.
RCA Plug Connections
- Sleeve-Screen
- Pin- Signal
Tape Output Connection
These standard RCA stereo Jack sockets provide a mixed output suitable for connection to a tape or Cassette recorder.
Aux Out
Connects the mixer/preamplifier stage to the power amplifier stage. The connecting link must be plugged in for normal operation as a mixer/amplifier. “AUX OUT” is after the tone controls and the master volume control.
Priority
Mic1 input has VOX priority which will override Channel 3~6 and Line input signals but NOT the Channel 2 input. Power outline voltage complies with power input voltage (IEC voltage).
Loudspeaker Connection
Note: Use only 25V or 70V (Selectable) Line Loudspeakers.
Low Impedance
This output allows the connection of standard low-impedance loudspeakers, the minimum load impedance must be 8Ω, when two or more loudspeakers are used ensure that they are wired in such a way that the load impedance is between 160 and between (4Ω).
Connecting a Mixer Amplifier to a Power Amplifier
These amplifiers can be connected using phono to phono leads from the mixer amplifier PRE out the power amplifier input RCA socket. The further power amplifier can be connected by connecting from the output of the first power amplifier to the input of the second. Up to three power amplifiers can be connected in this way.
