Product Information

The 4-Wire I/O Headset Adapter is a device manufactured by Pliant Technologies. It is designed to be compatible with the MicroCom XR BeltPack. The adapter allows users to connect their wired intercom system to the belt pack, enabling communication between different devices. The adapter features LED indicators for power status and PTT engagement.

Product Usage Instructions

To connect the 4-Wire I/O Headset Adapter to a wired intercom system, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that all equipment is powered off.
  2. Connect the 3.5 mm end of either the CAB-4W-WI or the 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm audio cable to the wired intercom connection on the headset adapter.
  3. Connect the other end of the cable into the 4-Wire In/Out connection of the wired intercom system.
  4. Connect a beltpack to the headset adapter using the attached cable.
  5. Make sure the orientation of the connections is correct.
  6. Set the In/Out volume/gain levels of the wired intercom system to the center position.
  7. Power on all attached equipment.
  8. Adjust the beltpack volume and wired intercom volume/gain levels as needed.

OPERATION

4-Wire In/Out Headset Adapter

LED Indicators

Power LED turns Blue Power ON
Power LED OFF Power OFF
Power LED turns Red Charging
Power LED OFF Fully Charged
PTT LED turns Red PTT Engaged

Connect to a Wired Intercom

  1. Verify all of the equipment is powered off.
  2. Connect the 3.5 mm end of either the CAB-4W-WI or the 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm audio cable to the wired intercom connection on the headset adapter.
  3. Connect the other end into a wired intercom system’s 4-Wire In/Out connection.
  4. Connect a beltpack using the cable attached to the headset adatper. Note: Correct orientation as shown to the right.
  5.  Set the In/Out volume/gain levels of the wired intercom in the center position.
  6. Power on all attached equipment.
  7. Adjust the beltpack volume and wired intercom volume/gain levels as needed.
