Speaker Instruction Manual

Please read this instruction manual carefully before use and keep it for future reference.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read the following safety instructions and respect the warnings before the appliance is operated:

  1. Always follow basic safety precautions when using this appliance, especially when children are present.

  2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  3. Do not damage the power cord, place heavy objects on it, stretch or bend it.

  4. Do not attach extension cables. Damage to the power cord may cause fire or electric shock.

  5. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

  6. Ensure that the unit is plugged into an AC 100-240V 50/60Hz power outlet. Using higher voltage may cause the unit to malfunction or catch fire.

  7. If the power plug does not fit into the socket, do not force it.

  8. Turn off the unit before unplugging it from power source to completely switch it off.

  9. Do not disconnect or connect the power cord with wet hands. This may cause an electric shock.

  10. If the unit is not going to be used for a long period time, disconnect the power supply.

  11. Ensure that the mains plug is always easily accessible.

  12. This product does not contain any parts that are serviceable by the user.
    In case of a fault, contact the manufacturer or authorised service department.
    Exposing the internal parts inside the device may endanger your life.

  13. The manufacturers guarantee does not extend to faults caused by repairs carried out by unauthorized third parties.

  14. Do not use this product immediately after unpacking. Wait until it warms up to room temperature before using it.

  15. Ensure this product is used in moderate climates only (not in tropical/ subtropical climates).

  16. Place product on a flat, stable surface that is not subject to vibrations.

  17. Ensure the product and its parts are not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.

  18. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or damage to this product, do not expose it to direct sunlight, dust, rain and moisture.

  19. Never expose it to dripping or splashing and do not place objects filled with liquids on or near the product.

  20. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the apparatus.

  21. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

  22. Do not place the product where the humidity is high and ventilation is poor.

  23. Ensure a minimum distance of 5 cm around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation. Do not block any ventilation openings of this product.

  24. Always ensure that the ventilation openings are not covered with items such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains, etc.

  25. NEVER let anyone, especially children, push anything into holes, slots or any other openings in the unit’s casing as this could result in a fatal electric shock.

  26. Storms are dangerous for all electric appliances. If the mains or aerial wiring is struck by lightning, the appliance might get damaged, even if it is turned off.
    You should disconnect all the cables and connectors of the appliance before a storm.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.

SETUP OPERATION

SETUP

  1. Remove the packaging materials from the unit.
  2. Connect the power adaptor to the DC input jack on the side panel.
  3. If there are 2 speakers, please keep the devices distance within 10 meters.
  4. Charging the battery will take about 6 hours, please charge it well before use.

NOTE:

  1. It is strongly recommended that this product should be recharged the internal battery by inserting the supplied USB-C cable into the charging port on the side of the speaker. Connect the other end (USB-A) to the included power adaptor with 5V, 1A output.
  2. The red charging LED indicator will remain lit while charging. The LED indicator will turn blue when the battery charging process is completed. Charging will take 5-6 hours, depending on the charging source.

source STATIC DISTURBANCE
If sound quality issues occur, such as distortion, intermittent breaks in sound, interference, or overall sound is not clear, the speakers may be out of the required Bluetooth frequency range. All devices (your Bluetooth enabled device and both speakers). Must BE with 33 feet (range of each other. To resolve, move the devices closer to the required Bluetooth range.)

BASIC OPERATION

BATTERY CHARGE

  1. The Speaker should be charged by the USB-C cable into the DC 5V input port on the side panel of the speaker.
  2. The battery will take about 5-6 hours to charge from 0-100%. The indicator turns from red to blue when the charging is completed.
  3. Please fully charge the unit before use.

NOTE:

  1. If the unit has not been used for a long period of time, the rechargeable battery may be discharged into a “SLEEP mode”. To initialize the battery, it is recommended to charge for longer than 6 hours but DO NOT exceed 24 hours.
  2. The life of battery will vary depending on operation. Louder music with bass will drain the battery faster than spoken word audio.
  3. The built- in rechargeable battery is not replaceable. Don’t remove or replace it.

CAUTION:

  1. Do not throw the battery into the trash or in a fire, otherwise it will cause an explosion.
  2. Do not dispose the machine in standard garbage disposal sites. Dispose it at the available battery recycling sites after discharging battery.
  3. Disposing of batteries carelessly or incorrectly can violate local environmental protection laws and regulation. Refer to the local regulations for proper battery disposal.

WATER RESISTANCE
The speaker has a water proof IPX4 LEVEL of protection, which means the unit will work in water splashing conditions, such as near sprinklers, pool or any outdoor areas where splashing occurs.
NOTE:

  1. DO NOT fully submerge the speaker into any liquid.
  2. If you feel the product was significantly wet, make sure to thoroughly dry the speaker before use.

BUTTON OPERATION & BLUETOOTH CONNECTION

POWER ON/ OFF

  1. Connect the power adaptor into the DC INPUT JACK on the side panel.
  2. Press the POWER button on the side panel to power on the unit.
  3. Press and hold the POWER button for 3 seconds until the unit turn OFF.

NOTES:

  1. If there are 2 Rock speakers paired, press and hold the POWER button will turn off both of the speakers.
  2. The Speaker will automatically enter standby mode after 5 minutes of inactivity

TO RESET THE SPEAKER

  1. If the Bluetooth Rock speaker is malfunctioning, simply turn OFF the speaker for a few minutes, then turn the speaker back ON .
  2. If the speaker continues to malfunction, carefully use a paperclip and press the RESET PINHOLE on the side panel to reset the unit to its original factory settings. Please refer to the item 5 of the product overview page.

LED SELECT MODE
While playing the Speaker, slightly press the MODE button to switch between different flashing modes of the LED lights and colors.

BLUETOOTH CONNECTION

  1. Press the POWER button to turn on the speaker.
  2. When the indicator light flashes blue, it is in Bluetooth pairing mode.
  3. Turn on the Bluetooth function on the Bluetooth device, then enter the Bluetooth search page, and search for the pairing name “YY1639”.
  4. Select the pairing name and start pairing with the Speaker.
  5. When they pair successfully, the indicator light stop flashing.
  6. The playback operation is controlled by your external device.

NOTES:

  1. Input the password “0000″ if required.
  2. Place the Bluetooth device within 10 meters.
  3. The Speaker supports automatic connection with a previously paired device after power off and power on again.
  4. If you want to pair with a new Bluetooth device, you must disconnect the paired device.

TWS FUNCTION

Connect two Rock speakers via True Wireless Connection
Two Rock speakers can wirelessly connect with each other via TWS to enrich your listening experience.

  1. Power on both of the Rock speakers.
  2. Press and hold the MODE button on the first speaker (Master speaker) on the side panel, the indicator flash slowly in blue.
  3. When there comes a prompt tone, the two speakers are paired. It may take about 3-10 seconds for them to pair with each other.
  4. When successfully paired, the second speaker (Vice speaker) indicator lights solid blue.

NOTES:

  1. Make sure the two speakers are not connected to any Bluetooth device before operating TWS function.
  2. After TWS pairing, only the Master speaker can be scanned and selected by the multi-Bluetooth device. Then you can start playing the desired music on the multi-Bluetooth device.

Several situations that occur when you operate in TWS mode:

  1. If two speakers have been paired, TWS will reconnect automatically when both speakers are turned on again.
  2. When you enjoy Dual play, multi phone pairing is not supported. The Master speaker connects only one Bluetooth device at a time.
  3. Reset the Master speaker and Vice speaker. You should disconnect the current TWS connection: press and hold the MODE button on the Vice speaker.
  4. Depending on network environment, the Dual play may not work well.
  5. When TWS mode is entered, some phones might not play properly when you try to connect TWS during playback.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

SYMPTOM POSSIBLE CAUSE SOLUTION
Can not power on. Unit is unplugged. Connect the DC power adaptor to the

jack.
Sound quality problems.| – The speaker is out of the accepted frequency.| – Move the device closer to the speaker.
– Place the device and the speaker within a range of less than 10 meters between them.
– The Bluetooth connection window on the device may cause interference.| Close the Bluetooth connection window on the device. Keep playing music.
The speaker is not working properly.| The speaker must be turned on again.| – Turn off the speaker. Unplug the DC adaptor from the electrical outlet if there is a cable. Wait a few minutes. Turn on the product again.
– If the problem persists, press carefully on the hole located on the side panel in order to reset the speaker.
