Product Name: Videocitofono Sound System
Model Numbers: 6620, 6720, 662A
Description: The Videocitofono Sound System is a monitor with open voice twin channel and a 3.5-inch color LCD screen. The monitor screen can be vertically sloped.

Product Usage Instructions

Installation:

  1. Choose the desired location for installation – flush-mount, desktop, or wall mount.
  2. Ensure the monitor is securely installed in the chosen location.
  3. Connect the necessary cables and wires according to the provided wiring diagram.
  4. If using a coaxial cable, connect it to the V terminal for a 75 Ohm video signal.
  5. Make sure the power supply is connected to the appropriate terminals (Positive and Negative).

Buttons and Controls:

  • A) LCD Screen: A 3.5-inch standard PAL LCD screen that can be manually tilted.
  • B) Microphone: Built-in microphone for communication.
  • C) Speaker: Built-in speaker for audio output.
  • D) Call Buttons: Pair of buttons for making calls from the external unit. To program the melody, press and hold one of the buttons for at least 2 seconds, then press the buttons repeatedly to select the desired melody.
  • E) Volume Buttons: Pair of buttons for adjusting the internal audio volume and ringtone volume. To adjust the volume, press and hold one of the buttons for at least 2 seconds, then press the buttons repeatedly to increase or decrease the volume.
  • F) Button G) Button H) Button I: Various function buttons for conversation, door open indication, and call exclusion.
  • L) Door Open Indication: Green LED indicating the door is open (requires installation).
  • M) Call Exclusion Indication: LED indicating call exclusion (requires installation).

Secret Conversation Programming:

  1. To activate secret conversation mode, simultaneously press and hold the two buttons for 3 seconds.
  2. When the red LED blinks, press the button indicated to activate secret conversation mode.
  3. To deactivate secret conversation mode, repeat the above steps using a different button combination.

Monitor Terminals:

  • 1: Handset receiver
  • 2: Handset microphone
  • 3: Common audio
  • 4: Auxiliary services button (with reference to terminal 5)
  • 5: Negative power supply
  • 6: Positive power supply (minimum incoming voltage 15V DC)
  • 7: Second auxiliary function (determined by the microswitch on the back of the monitor)
  • 8: Call from external unit
  • 9: Lock button
  • 10: 12V DC output for video distributor
  • 11: Door call button
  • 12: Audio activation button (or auto-activation with the switch in position A)
  • 13: Green LED power supply (maximum input positive power supply 18V DC)
  • V: Coaxial cable input for 75 Ohm video signal
  • M: Ground relative to V terminal

Note: The Art. 6600, 6700, 6620, 6720 monitors have a microswitch on the back for switching between auxiliary function (position A) and auto-activation (position B) of the button . The Art. 660A, 662A monitors have a microswitch on the bottom of the base for switching the auxiliary function.

PUSH-BUTTONS AND ADJUSTMENTS

  • A) Screen with manually angle-adjustable 3,5” LCD monitor standard PAL.

  • (B) Microphone.

  • C) Loudspeaker.

  • D) Pair of push-buttons.

    1. When the monitor is ON, the push-buttons can be used to adjust the brightness.
    2. When the monitor is OFF, the push-buttons can be used to select the tune for calls from a speech unit only. To programme the tune: hold 1 of the 2 push-buttons down for at least 2 seconds, and press the push-buttons again repeatedly to select the desired tune.
  • E) Pair of push-buttons

    1. While holding the “i” push-button down, press the “E” push-button to increase or
      decrease the internal voice line volume.

    2. To adjust ring-tone volume: without pressing the “I” push-button, hold down 1 of the 2 push-buttons for at least 2 seconds, then press the pushbuttons again repeatedly to increase, decrease or disable the ring-tone volume.

  • F) Push-button : for activating 1st auxiliary service if connected (e.g. stair lights).

  • G) Push-button : for door lock release.

  • H) Pushbutton : for activating 2nd auxiliary service if connected (e.g. 2nd lock).
    Enables the monitor to self-start without being called (the function is optional according to the type of installation).

  • I) Pushbutton : after the call and/or switch-on of the monitor, hold the pushbutton down for conversation with the speech unit. Enables the monitor to self-start without being called (the function is optional according to the type of installation).

  • L) Door open signal: if the green LED lights up, this indicates that the door is open (the function is optional according to the type of installation).

  • M) Call disabled signal: if the red LED lights up, this indicates that the call is disabled (see point “E”).

PROGRAMMING OF THE CONVERSATION PRIVACY
The “Conversation privacy” function can be obtained by pressing both push- buttons “ ” for 3 seconds at the same time; when the red led flashes press the push-button. The “without conversation privacy” function can be obtained as indicated above, but using both “ ” push-buttons.

TERMINALS FOR MONITOR TYPE 6620, 6720, 662A

  1. Interphone receiver

  2. Interphone microphone

  3. Common audio line

  4. Button for auxiliary services (related to terminal 5)

  5. Power supply negative

  6. Power supply positive (minimum input voltage 15V D.C.)

  7. Second auxiliary function or self-start (its operation is controlled by the microswitch placed on the monitor rear side).

  8. Call from entrance panel

  9. Lock push-button

  10. 12V D.C. output for video distributor

  11. Landing call

  12. Push-button for the audio activation (or self-start with switch in “A” position)

  13. Green LED supply voltage (18V D.C. (max) positive voltage imput)
    For systems with coaxial cable, input for connection of the 75 Ohm video cable.

  14. Ground for terminals V.

NOTE: Monitor type 6600, 6700, 6620, 6720 dispose on the rear of a microswitch for the switching of the “auxiliary (position A)/self-start (position B)” function of push-
button .
Monitor type 660A, 662A dispose of a micro-switch on the bottom of the basis for the switching of the “auxiliary” function (lower position) /self-start (upper position) of push- button , and all monitor dispose of the color adjustment.

Connect 75 Ohm resistor (supplied) to the last monitor, between terminals V2-M.

The monitors have a microswitch on the back, set it to “without conversation privacy”.

The “CONVERSATION PRIVACY” function is normally deactivated. To activate or deactivate the function see conversation privacy programming

N.B.
In the event of buzzing on the audio line, move the switching module “A-B” located under the cover to position “A”.

VERSION

It is possible to activate the video system from the monitor, using the push- button with the symbol “ ”, by connecting it to terminal 12 as shown in the diagram.

When the landing call push-button is pressed, the monitor sounds with a different tone from the tone generated by a call from the entrance panel. The monitor remains OFF.

The diagram shows the connection of the “lock open” indicator (green LED) with monitor Art. 6620, 6720, 662A (connection to terminal 13). Should up to 5 monitors be connected, it is not necessary the use of power supply Art. 6582, but it is sufficient to use terminal “+” of power supply type 6680 to power the green led.
To disable the “lock open” indication, do not connect terminal No 13 of the monitors
The ringtone OFF indication is already inserted in the monitors and it is not necessary to connect any additional conductor.
The red LEDs are powered by the power supply 6680 and must not exceed a total of 20 in number. For larger numbers, use an additional power supply.
