BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Read these instructions completely and carefully. Save these instructions for
future use.
WARNING : Risk of electrical shock. Disconnect power before service
installation, or maintenance of the product Risk of injury or damage. Unit
will fall if not installed properly. Follow installation instructions.
CAUTION: Risk of injury. Wear safety glasses and gloves during
installation and servicing. Risk of injury. The luminaire should be mounted so
that prolonged staring into the luminaire at a distance closer than 0.50m is
not expected.
Mounting
- Loosen screws to remove back for mounting.
- Apply gasket if mounting on smooth surfaces.
- Fasten to J-Box with user supplied screws.
WARNING: Risk of Injury or Damage: Select user-supplied wall anchors and anchor fasteners suitable for the wall construction and the fixture’s mounting hole diameters. Ensure a minimum per-anchor pull-out-strength of 10 times (10X) the fixture weight and install per the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Fixture may be direct mounted using wall anchors.
- Locate and drill holes in wall surface of recommended diameter for user-supplied anchors.
- Fasten plate and torque screws to manufacturer’s recommendations to achieve rated anchor strength.
- If wiring through conduit, remove desired plug and secure conduit.
- If supplied, locate button-photocontrol on preferred side.
- If supplied, locate external occupancy sensor on preferred side.
- Caulk upper edge and sides on rough surfaces.
- Attach tether from top to back housing tab.
Wiring
CAUTION
- Risk of shock or damage. Follow applicable national and local electrical codes.
- Risk of damage. Verify supply voltage and wire insulation temperature rating match nameplate requirements.
- Risk of shock or failure. Reconnect any wires disconnected during mounting.
- (Standard or Internal Occ Sensor Option) Connect supply leads to fixture and backplate ground leads.
- (Button Photocontrol Option) Connect supply leads to fixture, Button PE, and backplate ground leads.
WARNING: Risk of Failure. An unswitched AC power source of 100VAC to 277VAC is required for proper EMBB charging and operation. An Illuminated (color?) LED indicator light indicates AC power is applied.
- (EMBB Option) Connect supply leads to fixture, EMBB, and backplate ground leads.
- (External Occ Sensor) Connect supply leads to fixture, sensor, and backplate ground leads.
Button Up
- If fixture is inverted rotate upright.
- Hook housing upper edge on back.
- Re-tighten the screws to secure the housing.
Controls
- Verify if unit has a programmable occupancy sensor.
- Refer to FSIR-100 datasheet for programable settings.

Cleaning
- Use mild soap/detergent.
- Rinse with cool low pressure water.
- Wipe dry with clean soft cloth.
CAUTION
- Risk of Damage. Do not use soap/detergent containing aromatic hydrocarbons.
- Disposal Risk. Luminaires with Emergency Battery Backup (EMBB) option contain LiFePo batteries requiring proper waste disposal or recycling. Dispose in accordance with state and federal regulations.
