Controls and Functions
Front Panel
-

This button will turn the amplifier on and place it into standby. The indicator light will illuminate white when the amplifier is on. It will illuminate red when the amp is in standby. -
Source Selection Button
Use this to toggle between the Aux and Bluetooth inputs. The corresponding light will illuminate white when the input is active. While the Bluetooth input is active, press and hold to disconnect the device and enter pairing mode. Press and hold the button while in pairing mode to revert to the previously connected device. -
Volume Control
Live a little and turn the volume up. After all, that’s what the DTA-100ST is for. The volume knob controls the volume of SPEAKER OUTPUT and the PRE OUT connections.
Rear Panel
-
BLUETOOTH ANTENNA
-
AUTO ON CONTROL
This is a handy feature when using the DTA-100ST in conjunction with other audio equipment. It will safely turn off the amp when audio stops and will turn it back on when audio is detected. (please see pg. 6 for a more detailed explanation) -
LINE INPUT (AUX)
-
PRE OUT Stereo RCA
jacks allow for connecting the DTA-100ST to other audio equipment. This signal level is controlled by the volume knob and will output whatever input is selected. It is not affected by the High Pass Filter (HPF). -
HIGH PASS FILTER
This will help remove low frequencies from the connected speakers to protect from high-excursion. This feature is also particularly handy when using an external subwoofer so that the main speaker and subwoofer outputs do not affect each other. -
SPEAKER OUTPUT
Using insulated 2 conductor wire to connect to speakers. The polarity, positive (+), and negative (-) for all speaker and amplifier connections must be consistent so both the left and right speakers are in phase.
NOTE: The speaker outputs are not bridgeable. -
AC POWER INPUT
The DTA-100ST is capable of operation in 110V and 220V regions. The internal power supply will automatically sense the power input and operate appropriately. -
MAIN POWER SWITCH
Turns the device on and off.
Connecting Speakers
The amplifier can power speakers with a minimum impedance of 4Ω, using speakers with a lower impedance can cause damage to the amplifier. Use high quality two conductor speaker wire and your choice of connector to connect your speakers to the binding posts on the rear of the unit.
Connect the DTA-100ST’s left speaker terminals marked “L-” and “L+” to the
corresponding “-” and “+” terminals on your left speaker. Repeat the same
process for the right channel.
NOTE: Never connect the negative terminals together or to ground. The
DTA-100ST is not designed to operate in a bridged mode and attempting to do so
may damage the amplifier.
Operation
Bluetooth Operation
When switching to the Bluetooth input, the indicator light will flash to
indicate that the device is ready to pair. If the last connected device is
within range it will connect automatically. Otherwise, look for the DTA-100ST
in your device’s setup menu and initiate pairing. The DTA-100ST will
automatically disconnect after 15 minutes of silence and enter standby.
AUTO ON Function
For ultimate control in any installation, the DTA-100ST has an auto sensing
function that can turn off the amplifier when not in use and turn it back on
when audio is detected. When the DTA-100ST is in standby the power indicator
will illuminate red. To activate this function, toggle the AUTO ON switch.
Otherwise, leave the switch in the ON position for normal operation.
When using the AUX input, the DTA-100ST will enter standby after fifteen minutes of silence. The amplifier will turn back on when music is played again. The power light will change to white and the AUX input light will light up again. The DTA-100ST will remain in standby until audio is sensed on the line inputs, or the front panel controls are used.
While using the Bluetooth input the DTA-100ST will unpair from the connected device after fifteen minutes of silence and enter standby. The power light will illuminate red and the Bluetooth light will flash to indicate that pairing mode is active. The DTA-100ST will remain in pairing mode until a Bluetooth device connects or the front panel controls are used.
Installing Mounting Brackets
The DTA-100ST can be conveniently mounted on or underneath a shelf or desk
with the included mounting brackets. The brackets can be attached to the sides
of the amplifier by removing the screws and replacing them with the brackets
in place
