WARNING!
The Wi-Fi module is installed inside the dehumi-difier. Do not try to remove, modify or repair. In the event of malfunction, contact an Authorized Technical
Assistance Center.

PRECAUTIONS

  • Remember to always follow the instructions con- tai- ned in this installation and user manual.

  • The Wi-Fi router must be set up as specified in the manufacturer’s installation and user manual.
    To create a wireless network to which the dehumidifier is to be connected, please refer to the manual for your Wi-Fi router. Ariston Thermo S.p.A. does not provide assistance for configuring the network.

  • Avoid getting the Wi-Fi module wet as this can cause electrocution or fires.

  • Do not use this product in proximity to sanitary equip- ment or near people wearing pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. This product can cause electromagnetic interference.

  • Do not use this product near automatic control de- vices or firefighting apparatus (can cause accidents provoked by the apparatus malfunctioning).

  • Do not use this product in proximity to a microwave oven (which can affect the wireless network’s communications).

  • Compatible operating systems: iOS 6.0 and later. Android 4.0 and later.

  • It is not possible to control all the functions of the dehumidifier with the Ariston Clima application.
    All the functions of the air conditioner can be activa- ted using the standard control pad on the product.

  • Your device’s data traffic could be subject to charges by your mobile operator.

  • The mobile device’s camera (smartphone, tablet, etc.) must be at least 5 Mp to be able to acquire the QR code.

PRODUCT CONFORMING TO EU DIRECTIVE 2012/19/EU and to Italian Legislative Decree 49/2014 pursuant to Art. 26 of Legislative Decree no. 49 of 14 March 2014, “Implementation of Directive 2012/19/UE on waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)”

The barred wheeled bin symbol appearing on the appliance or on its packaging indicates that the product must be collected separately from other waste at the end of its useful life.
The user must therefore deliver the decommissioned product to an appropriate local facility for separate collection of electrotechnical and electronic waste.
Alternatively, the appliance to be scrapped can be delivered to the dealer when purchasing a new equivalent appliance.
Electronic products for disposal measuring less than 25 cm can also be delivered free of charge to electronic equipment dealers having a surface area of
at least 400 m , without having to purchase other products. 2 Suitable differentiated collection for subsequent despatch of the unwanted apparatus for recycling and environmentally compatible handling and disposal contributes to avoiding possible negative effects on the environment and on health, and favours reuse and recycling of the materials of which the apparatus is composed.

CONFIGURATION

Your device and the air conditioner are indirectly connected via external servers.
You can thus control the dehumidifier even when you are not in the room where it is installed, so long as your device has access to a data connection and the dehumidifier is plugged in.

Installing the application

Download and install the “Ariston Clima” applica-tion from the Market Store for your device, by scanning the QR code on the cover of this manual or manually searching for “Ariston Clima”. Before proceeding, reg- ister an account with the “Ariston Clima” application, as explained below.

Registering an account

After installing the APP, proceed with registering the account:
a. Launch the Ariston Clima application.
b. Select “Create account” in the main page.

c. Enter your email and password.
d. Click on “Registering” and accept the terms of use to continue.
e. Check your inbox and click on the link in the email you have received to activate the account.

First Configuration

After logged in into the app, follow below instructions step by step:

  1. Select “Add Device” in the homepage
    WARNING: for Android systems, before proceeding, ensure that the GPS on the smartphone/tablet is enabled and Ariston Clima is authorized to access the location.

  2. Choose “Dehumidifier” from the list of products.

  3. Activate “AP” modeTurn on the dehumidifier and press one of the following buttons (depending on the model):
    – Model DEOS 16s NET
    Press the WIRELESS pad for 3 seconds to initiate the AP mode
    – Model DEOS 21s NET
    Press the MODE pad for 3 seconds to initiate the AP mode.
    The acronym “AP” indicates that the air conditioner has entered “Access Point” mode; this mode is active for 8 minutes.
    During this period all the functions of the dehumidifier are inhibited.
    Caution: After 8 minutes, the dehumidifier returns to its normal operating condition. All the configuration steps must be completed within 8 min period.

  4. Choose one of the following two alternative methods to associate the dehumidifier to your device
    a. Scan QR code
    Scan the identifying QR code with your device’s camera (the application must have permission to access the camera). Qr code label is on the back of the dehumidifier.
    The QR code to be scanned is located on the back of the product.
    b. Manual setup
    The screen will show all the available wireless net-works ( the wi-fi must be enabled from the phone setting menu). Select the Wi-Fi network:
    Net_a1_XXXX (The value is only given as an example, as the code depends on the device in question) Enter the following default password:
    12345678.

  5. Now select your wireless network, enter the password for wireless network and start the configuration.
    NOTE: before proceeding, ensure that the wireless network is functioning correctly

Repeat the above procedure if the configuration was unsuccessful or to set up a new wireless network.
If the procedure is successfully completed, the applica- tion shows a confirmation message.
The dehumidifier is now connected to your wireless network. The dehumidifier has now been added and you can choose a name and select it:

The application accesses the control page. It is now possible to manage the functionalities of the dehumidifier
NOTA 1: If the name or password of your wireless network changes, you must run the entire procedure again from the start.
NOTA 2: The dehumidifier is always connected to your wireless network.
NOTA 3: IIn the case of several NET dehumidifiers, the procedure must be repeated for each of them, in order to enable them to be managed with the same device.

Controlling an already connected device

Make sure that you have your device connected to a data network and proceed as follows:
a. Launch the Ariston Clima application.
b. A list of all dehumidifiers registered with your wireless network will display, along with their names.
c. Select the dehumidifier
d. The application accesses the control page.

It is now possible to manage the functionalities of the dehumidifier

CONTROL PANEL

For a more detailed description of the modes and fun-ctions, please refer to dehumidifier user manual.

  1. ON/OFF
    lets you start up or shut down the dehumidifier;

  2.  STANDARD MODE
    quando tutte le altre funzioni non sono attivate, permette di selezionare l’umidità desiderata muovendo il cursore sullo schermo.

  3. AUTO
    the dehumidifier sets the relative humidity in a comfortable range 45% – 55% in relation to the ambient temperatureto maximise occupant comfort;

  4. CONTINOUS MODE
    the appliance functions at the maximum dehumidification level until the tank fills up;

  5. FAN SPEED
    select the fan speed (LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH)

  6. LAUNDRY
    the appliance automatically sets the fan speed and relative humidity in relation to the ambient temperature;

  7. AIR PURIFIER
    (only on DEOS 21s NET),
    after ensuring you have fitted the HEPA filter, press it to activate Air purifier function. Warning: all other modes and special functions are inhibited while the HEPA filter is fitted. It is necessary to fit HEPA filter to let the dehumidifier work as an air purifier

  8. ANTI-MOULD,
    ( only on DEOS 21S NET) It sets the fan speed and hours of operation of the dehumidifier (up to 4h) in relation to the measured actual humidity

To modify your profile:

  • Enter the homepage
    Touch your personal logo to access your profile In the profile, you can edit:

    • your profile photo;
    • first and last name;
    • current password;

Click “Salva” (Save) at the top right to save the chang-es.
