Pocono Sew Vac Jelly Roll Rug
Product Information
The Jelly Roll Rug is a fun and versatile product that allows you to transform a jelly roll into a beautiful rug for your home. It is a perfect addition to any room and can be used as a decorative piece or for practical purposes.
The product is designed to be used with the following supplies:
- Bosal Katahdin On-A-Roll Quilt Batting
- Jelly Roll Rug Pattern by Roma Lambson: R.J. Designs
- Sewing machine with a zig-zag stitch
- Jeans needles for your machine
- Sewing thread to match your fabrics
- Multiple bobbins wound with the same thread
- Wonder clips (recommended over pins)
- Scissors
- Stiletto
- Best Press (full bottle)
- Iron and pressing board (if available)
Please note that the rug cannot be made with a straight stitch, so it is important to have a sewing machine with a zig zag stitch.
Product Usage Instructions
Before starting the class or project, please follow these steps:
- Decide how you would like your fabric strips to be arranged.
- Sew the fabric strips together, creating one long strip as shown on page 1 of the pattern.
- Trim and press the seams open.
- Fan fold the long strip and tie both ends.
Once you have completed these steps, you are ready to attend the class or start working on your jelly roll rug project.
Please note the class cancellation policy:
- All Pocono Sew & Vac classes must be paid in full upon registration.
- If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify PS&V at least 7 days in advance to be eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the class will not be issued a refund.
- If a class does not have the minimum number of participants 7 days prior to the class day, the teacher will cancel the class and you will receive a full refund within 7 to 10 business days.
Lastly, please make sure to read the class description thoroughly before signing up, as some classes may require homework to be done before attending. If homework is required and not completed, you will not be able to attend the class and a refund will not be issued. If you have any questions about the class homework, please contact the store for assistance.

Supply List
- One Jelly Roll. Please be sure that it has about 40 strips.
- One 50-yard roll of 2 ½” batting. If PSV does not have it, it can be purchased here: Amazon.com: Bosal Katahdin On-A-Roll Quilt Batting

Notions & Tools
- Sewing machine that has a zig zag stitch (this cannot be made with a straight stitch) Knowledge of the machine, accessories and manual. If you have an extension table for your machine, please bring that as well.
- Jeans needles for your machine
- Sewing thread to match your fabrics.
- multiple bobbins wound with the same thread.
- Wonder clips (much better for this project than pins)
- scissors

- Iron, and pressing board, if you have one.
Before class, please do the following: Decide how you would like your strips to be arranged and sew them all together (making one very long strip) as shown on page 1 of the pattern. Be sure to trim, and press seams open. Fan fold and tie and tie at both ends.
Class Cancellation Policy
- To reserve a seat, all Pocono Sew & Vac classes must be paid in full upon registration. If a student needs to cancel their reservation for a class, they should notify PS&V at least 7 days in advance (by phone) to be eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days before class will not be issued a refund. If a class does not have the minimum number of participants 7 days prior to class day, the teacher will cancel class. The customer will be fully refunded within 7 to 10 business days. Any questions call PS&V at 800-442- 8227.
- Some classes require homework to be done before class, such as cutting/prepping fabrics. If homework is required, it will be posted in the class description. Please read the class description thoroughly before signing up before a class. If homework is not done by the start of class, you will not be able to attend, and a refund will not be issued. If you have any questions regarding class homework, please call the store and we will be happy to help.
