Principle

A drainage bag consisting of an adhesive part and a bag part with which you can store and preserve the drainage, attaching the adhesive part with the bag part to the trunk. You can also discharge the drainage from the soft type outlet as needed, In addition, the adhesive bond prevents drainage and other drainage leaking from the surroundings from adhering to the skin.

Instructions for use

Treatment before application

  1. Disinfect the skin around the drain and fistula as needed and wash with saline if necessary.
  2. Wipe the skin around the wound and dry it well.

Size measurement and template making

  1. Place a cutting gauge (hereinafter referred to as the gauge) on the affected area.
  2. Copy the shape of the affected area to a gauge with a permanent marker etc. and cut it with scissors along the shape.

Make a hole on the skin barrier

  1. Place the prepared gauge on the affected area.
  2. Place this product on the gauge in the direction in which you plan to attach it and remove the gauge together. This product is tilted slightly with respect to the body to facilitate drainage.
  3. Leave the position of this product and the gauge as they are and copy the shape on the release paper of this product with a ballpoint pen etc.
  4. Cut the skin barrier with scissors about 5 mm larger than the copied shape.
  5. Precautions
  * When making a hole on the skin barrier, do not exceed the specified limited diameter range.
  * [If a hole exceeding the limited diameter is made, the bag may be torn or an adequate fixing force may not be obtained.]
  * Inflate the bag a little and cut it. [You may damage the film on the bag when cutting. ]

Application

  1. Apply this product firmly onto the skin around the affected area.

Precautions

  • Do not apply this product to the ointment application part.
    • [The oil content of the ointment reduces the adhesive strength and may cause a drainage leakage.]
  • Be careful of the decrease in adhesive strength when using with skin care products such as skin protecting film.
  • Use the skin barrier after warming it to body temperature.
    • [Adhesive strength may be decreased if you apply it on the affected areas with hypothermia or if the skin barrier is not warm enough.]

Treatment during wearing

  1. How to open and close the dome-shaped cap
  2. When opening
  * While holding down the upper tub of the cap opening/closing tub, pull the lower tub toward you.
2. When closing
  * Put your finger in the flare part under the fitting part, and fit it with the whole while sandwiching the fitting part with your fingers.
  1. How to open and close the drainage soft type outlet.
    • Pinch the base of the drainage tap and open and close while holding the drainage soft type outlet.

Precautions

  • When closing the cap, push it all the way in.
    • [If the cap is not pushed in completely, it may leak.]
  • When opening, be careful of drainage spilling out.

Treatment when draining drainage

  1. Drainage treatment
    • Remove the drainage soft type outlet and drain the drainage in the bag.
  2. When connecting another drainage bag
    • Insert the maximum outer diameter of the connector about 5 mm from the bottom of the drainage soft type outlet, and then pull it back slightly to check that it does not come off.

Replacement and guideline for replacement

  1. Replace it with a new product immediately when you find a drainage leakage or a peeling around the skin barrier or when you find it would occur after the observation of the application status. [The condition where the skin barrier swells about 1 cm from the cut part is a guideline for replacement.]
  2. When removing this product, slowly and carefully peel it off while pressing the skin around the skin barrier.

Precautions

  • When replacing, do not pull the product but slowly peel it off while pressing the skin downward.
  • If this product sticks to your skin, do not forcibly remove it but remove it with a remover or the like.

Precautions regarding usage

  1. Replace it within 7 days at the maximum to observe the skin condition.
  2. Be careful not to give an impact on the air filter. [The tubes inserted in the wound may come into contact with each other, causing the air filter to break and drainage to leak.]
  3. Do not apply strong weight such as sandwiching this product under your body. [This product may be damaged. ]
  4. When using a connector, use a connector with a maximum outer diameter of 11 mm or more and be careful not to go deeper than 15 mm from the lower end of the drainage soft type outlet. If necessary, fix the drainage soft type outlet and connector with tape or the like. [Drainage may leak.]
  5. If necessary, fix the bag to the skin to prevent the bag from twisting.
    • [Drainage may flow back into the body. ]
  6. When the drainage is stored around the drain, turn the drainage tap side of this product downward. Also, lightly pinch the dome cap a few times.
    • [If drainage is left around the drain, it may cause retrograde infection or drainage leakage.]
  7. Be careful not to pull the product excessively when connecting the drainage bag or cleaning the skin, as it may cause the skin barrier agent to come off or the bag to be damaged.

Precautions for use

Important basic precautions

  1. Be fully careful when using it for patients with gelatin allergies.
  2. Do not use if infected or if there is a high risk of infection.
  3. Discontinue use and take appropriate measures if a clinical infection that is presumed to be caused by this product occurs in the wound while using this product.
  4. When drainage is stored inside the bag, drain it immediately.
    • [If drainage continues to accumulate inside the bag, the risk of retrograde infection increases. In addition, the skin barrier becomes easily dissolved, which may cause a drainage leak or a rash. ]
  5. Stop using this product immediately when the amount of drainage decreases and collection with this is no longer necessary,
    • [If applied for a long period of time with a small amount of drainage, the risk of retrograde infection increases.]
  6. Be fully careful of infection when using this product in combination with other non-sterilized products since this has been sterilized.

Interaction

  1. The dome-shaped cap may be deformed due to excessive negative pressure due to the connection of an aspirator or the like. At that time, be careful as it may come into contact with drains, tubes, stoma, etc.
  2. Remove this product when performing radiation therapy. [This product may interfere with treatment.]

Other precautions

  1. When a drain or tube is inserted, be careful not to drop it or drop it into the body.
  2. This product has been sterilized and its sterility is guaranteed as long as the packaging is not damaged. Therefore, do not use if the packaging is damaged or soiled.
  3. Use this product immediately after opening it.

Storage condition

  • Avoid getting wet.
  • Store at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature and humidity.
