Product Information

The DOMUS 2 LIGHT SES LINEAR PENDANT is a lighting fixture suitable for indoor use only. It comes in an Aged Brass color with a Frosted Opal Glass shade. The pendant has a rated voltage of 220-240V~ 50Hz and a rated wattage of 56W Max. (2 x Max. 28W). It uses an SES / E14 lamp holder and has a weight that is not specified in the manual.

Installation Instructions

  1. Remove all packaging material and make sure not to discard any hidden accessories.
  2. Lay the luminaire on a smooth non-scratch surface and decide on the suspension length by installing the different sections of  suspension rods onto the body of the luminaire. Feed the cord through as you assemble, avoiding any cross threading or damage to the cord.
  3. Feed the cord through one of the threaded pipes and screw it down onto the chosen suspension rods. Add additional threaded pipe to the second suspension rod without the cord.
  4. Feed the cord through one of the holes on the canopy and attach the canopy onto the threaded pipe using star washers, earth wire, and hex nuts. Attach the canopy to the second threaded pipe using a star washer and a hex nut.
  5. Install the figure 8-shaped cord anchorage onto the cord inside the canopy, leaving enough room for connection to the terminal block.
  6. Remove the mounting bracket from the canopy by loosening the screws on the sides.
  7. Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the screw positions on the ceiling.
  8. Install the mounting bracket onto the ceiling using appropriately sized mounting screws and anchors. Ensure they are suitable for the mounting surface and environment.
  9. Connect the mains supply wire and luminaire wires together to the terminal block. Follow the provided wiring instructions.
  10. Ensure the wires are secure and no bare wires are exposed.
  11. Install the canopy onto the mounting bracket and secure it by tightening the screws on the sides.

Warranty

  • This luminaire is covered by a 12- month warranty. The warranty is from date of purchase, not the date of installation.
  • If the luminaire is not assembled and installed by a licensed electrician the warranty will be void.
  • Please retain the proof of purchase and evidence of installation by a licensed electrician for any warranty enquiries.
  • Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the luminaire.
  • Failure to comply with the instructions in this manual may increase the risk of damage or injury and will void the warranty.

Installation Requirements

  • This luminaire must be assembled and installed by a licensed electrician.
  • All wiring and installation of the light fitting must adhere to local and national wiring rules. eg. AS/NZS 3000 Electrical installations.
  • This luminaire is a Class I product and must be earthed during wiring and installation.
  • Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.
  • Select a suitable location for installation:
    • This product is suitable for indoor use only.
    • The mounting point must support 2 times the weight of the fitting.
    • Ensure the luminaire is not installed in direct line of an air vent/system.
    • When installing a luminaire in an area prone to moisture, ensure that the area is well ventilated and an appropriately rated exhaust fan is used if required. Damage or corrosion caused by moisture is not a product fault, and as such is not covered under warranty.
  • Take care not to pull any electrical wires during unpacking as this may damage the connection.
  • Lay out all the components on a smooth surface and make sure there are no components missing before assembling. If parts are missing, return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection or replacement.
  • Check whether the luminaire has been damaged during transport. Do not operate/install any product which appears damaged in any way. Return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection, repair or replacement.
  • Ensure power to the circuit you are working on has been switched OFF before commencing any electrical work.

Installation Directions

  1. Remove all packaging material from the product and be careful not to throw away accessories that may be hidden within the packaging material. To help with assembly, lay the luminaire on its side on a smooth non scratch surface.

  2. Decide on the suspension length of your pendant by installing the different sections of suspension rods (H, I, J, K) onto the body (T) of your luminaire. Feed the cord (S) through as you assemble to remove any slack. Take care not to cross thread or twist and damage the cord (S).

  3. Feed the cord (S) through one of the threaded pipes (R) and screw it down onto your chosen suspension rods. Add additional threaded pipe (R) to the second suspension rod without the cord (S).

  4. Feed the cord (S) through one of the holes on the canopy (G), then attach the canopy onto the threaded pipe (R) by threading over a star washer (Q), the earth wire (E), another star washer (Q) and a hex nut (P) onto the cord, and tightening it all down with the hex nut. Attach the canopy (G) to the second threaded pipe (R) by adding the final star washer (Q) and tightening it down with the second hex nut (P).

  5. Install the “figure 8” shape cord anchorage (O) onto the cord (S) inside the canopy. Ensure to leave enough room for connection to the terminal block (D).

  6. Remove the mounting bracket (B) from the canopy (G) by loosening the screws (F) on the sides.

  7. Use the mounting bracket (B) as a template to mark the screw positions on the ceiling.

  8. Install the mounting bracket (B) onto the ceiling by using appropriately sized mounting screws (C) and anchors (A). Ensure the screws (C) and anchors (A) used are suitable for the mounting surface and the surrounding environment.

  9. Connect the mains supply wire and luminaire wires together to the terminal block (D).

  10. Mains Supply Wire Fitting Wire

  11. Earth – Yellow/Green Yellow/Green or

  12. Neutral – Blue or Black Blue or N

  13. Live – Brown or Red Brown or L
    NOTE : This luminaire is a Class I product and must be earthed during wiring and installation.

  14. Ensure the wires are secure and no bare wires are exposed.

  15. Install the canopy (G) onto the mounting bracket (B) and secure by tightening the screws (F) on the sides.

  16. Install globes (M – Not included) into the lamp holders (L). Do not exceed the maximum wattage rating.

  17. Install the glass shades (N) onto the body (U) of luminaire.

  18. After the full assembly and installation, switch on the luminaire to test and enjoy your new lighting product.

Safety Tips

  • Always ensure the power is OFF and the luminaire has cooled down before performing any maintenance, cleaning, changing the globe or making any adjustment to the luminaire.
  • To avoid injury or damage to the luminaire, ensure that power leads and screws are secure before connecting the power.
  • Select a suitable location away from liquids and hazards.
  • Ensure that the luminaire does not come in contact with corrosive chemicals, etc.
  • To clean, wipe with a damp clean cloth. Never soak the luminaire with water.
