INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: We highly recommend watching the homepage video to installation.

Step 1. Mark Door
Using template, mark hole on both sides of door at required backset, then mark latch hole on door edge. (Fig.1)

Step 2. Drill Holes
Bore a 2.13in hole on the door face, then drill 0.98 hole in the door edge to intersect with the center of 2.13in hole. (Fig.2)

Note: Drill 2.13in the hole from both sides of the door to stop wood splintering

Step3. Install Latch
Insert the latch into the hole and mark a line around the edge of the latch plate and remove the latch. Chisel approx. 0.12in deep or until the latch plate sits flush with the door edge. (Fig.3a)

Note: The latch length can be adjusted. As shown in the figure, hold the position of the latch square hole and pull it back horizontally to select 2.36in or 2.75in. (Fig.3b) Insert latch then drill 0.8in x0.16in holes for mounting screws and fasten latch. (Fig. 3c)

Step4. Install Strike
Close the door and mark the horizontal center of the latch on to door frame. Mark the vertical line where the door edge meets the frame and measure in half of the door thickness to find the vertical center. (Fig. 4a) Extend both lines until they intersect and drill a 0.98in hole to 0.6 in depth. Position the strike plate and mark it around the edge. Chisel frame to approx 0.06 in-depth or until strike sits flush. Drill 0.8in x 0.1 6in screw holes and fix strike to frame. (Fig, 4b)

Step 5. Install Outside Knob
Feed the power cable through the latch and guide the spindle through until outside rose sits flush.(Fig. 5)

Step 6. Install Inside Knob
Feed power cable through the hole in knob and guide spindle into the handle. (Fig.6a) Screw the inside knob to the outside knob using mounting screws. (Fig. 6b)

Step 7. Install the battery
Install 4 pieces LR3 / 1.5v/ AAA alkaline batteries into the battery box, and install the † /-batteries in strict accordance with the arrow as shown in the figure. The wrong installing + / – battery will make the product unable to work, and will also lead to destructive malfunction.(Fig. 7)

Step 8. Install the battery cover

  • Plug the power cord into the power socket as shown in the figure.
  • Recycle the excess power cord into the hole.
  • Install the battery cover in the orientation position and fasten 2 mounting screws. (Fig. 8)

RESET THE LOCK TO THE FACTORY DEFAULT

Method 1 Press the reset button
As shown in the picture, the reset button is located in the small hole on the rear cover of the battery. Press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds with something like a toothpick until ten beeps are heard. The product will be restored to factory Settings, put into debugging mode. Method 2 Reset with Smart life / Tuya APP
User can reset the lock by removing the device on Smart Life or Tuva APP enter the Smart Life or Tuva home page, choose “..” and then click “Device Management” Last choose “Remove Device’. (Fig.1, 2)AIERBOZ-YL-58A-

SETTING UP WITH TUYA / SMART LIFE APP

The product does not have a password when it leaves the factory: can input any fingerprint (optional) to unlock before it binds to the mobile phone’s app. After the installation, please set up the lock according to the following instruction.

Steps to set up with Tuya or Smart Life APP
(1)Step 1 – -Search “SMART LIFE’ or ‘TUYA SMART APP. download, register, and log in. Or by scanning the below QR code to download and install. (Fig1,2,3,4 )AIERBOZ-YL-58A-Electronic-Lock-fig-13

(2)Step 2— Connect the lock to the mobile phone, SMART LIFE or TUYA APP with Bluetooth

  • Turn on the Bluetooth. (Fig.5)
  • Open the APP home page and select Add Device. (Fig.6)
  • Choose camera and lock, one of which is Lock(BLE), and choose to enable Bluetooth network distribution.(Fig.7,8) AIERBOZ-YL-58A-Electronic-Lock-fig-15
  • Wait a while and the app will connect to the device. Make sure vour device is close to your phone during this time. (Fig .9)
  • When the connection is successful, you will hear two beeps, and you will see a lock named ‘JB’, when you tap into the main screen of the lock, you will see a green tap and hold to unlock key. (Fig. 10, 11)

Note: Solution of failure to add door lock device. For the door lock use safety, only one mobile phone is allowed to bind the door lock device. If the door lock device fails to be added, the door lock is proven to be invalid. May be bound by inspectors at the time of delivery. There is a reset key on the back of the lock body, which can be reset directly. After the reset, you can rebind.

Add members
There are 2 kinds of member ship, “family member” and “other member” can be added as below Other Member. with the limit authorities. Family Member. with all authorities to operate the lock.

Add “Other Member”

Note: This way to add “Family Member” is not recommended. For beginner of the SMART LIFT or TUYA APP, mainly for user to add “Other Member” (Fig. 1,2,3 )AIERBOZ-YL-58A-Electronic-Lock-fig-17

Add “Family Member”

  1. At the APP homepage, click “me”, and choose ” Home Management”. (Fig. 1)
  2. Choose a home or create a home.(Fig.2)
  3. Click “Add Member”. (Fig.3)
  4. Choose a app to send notification to family member. (Fig. 4)
  5. Family number will get a message about the invitation code. (Fig.5)
  6. Family members download the SMART LIFE APP, register and log in. Go to the interface, select “Home Management” and click “Join a Home” (Fig.6) (Note: Need to use the same app)

CONNECT WIFI (OPTIONAL)

If only Bluetooth is used, the phone and lock need to be connected for a short distance, beyond which they will automatically disconnect. If there is a gateway in the room, it can be used at a longer distance. (Set up the WIFI gateway if user want to use the internet functions)

Note: Please use the WIFI gateway provided in the box or sold separately in our store or any other Tuya core WIFI gateway.

Step 1

Step 2
Activate the WIFI gateway Power on the WIFI gateway and hold the button on the back for 5s. till the indicator light on the gateway turn to the blue and twinkle. (Fig.2)

Step 3
Add the WIFI gateway to the APP, and connect the WIFI gateway and the lock .AIERBOZ-YL-58A-Electronic-Lock-fig-22

  • Choose your home, and add device (Fig.1)
  • Choose the WIFI gateway,and input WIFI account and password.(Fig.2.3)
  • User will see the WIFI gateway is added successfully, and choose done.(Fig.4)
  • Select the ones that have been added wireless Bluetooth gateway, click up Add existing and choose JB. WIFI gateway and lock complete connection. (Fig.5,6.7,8)AIERBOZ-YL-58A-Electronic-Lock-fig-24

Step 4

HOW TO USE THE LOCK

  • Fingerprint Unlocking: Setting by Fingerprint Management, hold the fingerprint area of the lock and place the same finger on the fingerprint area several times, holding the same position for more than 5 seconds each time. Key Unlocking
Insert the key into the keyhole, rotate 180 degrees, and press down the handle to open the door. If the key cannot be rotated after inserting, the key does not match and the lock cannot be unlocked.AIERBOZ-YL-58A-Electronic-Lock-

Passage Mode

Battery Information
When the red light is on,the battery should be reploced with a new one within a week to ensure the lock works property. The lock need to configure the four AAA+ LR03+15V alkaline battery. In order to product for a longer time use for you. Please do not use other types of batteries, or do not mix old and new batteries.AIERBOZ-YL-58A-Electronic-Lock-fig-30

Note: This door lock is not equipped with a USB charge for information security, please replace the battery in time when the red light is not wise it will bring the risk of not being able to open the door. If the red light blinks four times, the battery is completely drained. The mechani- cal key is the only way to open it in case the battery runs out. Please don’t lock the mechanical key in the room.) Replace the Batteries: Remove the two screws shown in the picture with a screwdriver, take out the battery box, and replace the old batteries according to the positive and negative marks of the battery.
