Safety Warnings

  • Keep the cot away from strong heat sources such as electric bar fires and gas fires.
  • Maintain a distance between the bed and the wall of less than 65 mm or more than 230 mm to prevent children from getting trapped.
  • Do not attach any items, such as hooks or handles, to the cot to avoid strangulation hazards.

  • Do not use the cot if any part is broken, torn or missing. Contact your local IKEA store for replacement parts. Do not substitute parts.
  • Do not leave anything in the cot or place the cot close to another product, which could provide a foothold or present a danger of suffocation or strangulation, e.g. strings, blind/curtain cords, etc.
  • Do not use more than one mattress in the cot.
  • Be aware of the risk of open fire and other sources of strong heat, such as electric bar fires, gas fires, etc. in the near vicinity of the cot.
  • Do not attach any item to the cot, for example hooks or handles. These can present a strangulation hazard, which may result in harm to your baby.

Important safety information!

  • Tighten all assembly fittings properly before use. Check all fittings regularly and retighten as necessary.
  • The lowest position of the bed base is the safest. To prevent falls the mattress base should be adjusted to the lowest position as soon as the baby is old enough to sit up.
  • Thickness of the mattress shall be such that the height from the upper surface of the mattress to the upper edge of the cot frame is at least 500 mm in the lowest position of the cot base and at least 200 mm in the highest position of the cot base.
  • To prevent injury from falls when the child is able to climb out of the cot, the cot shall no longer be used for that child.
  • Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers because they can cause suffocation.

Important! Children can become trapped between the bed and the wall. To avoid risk of serious injury the distance between the bed and the wall must always be less than 65 mm or more than 230 mm.

Care and Maintenance

  • Clean the cot with a cloth damped in a mild cleaner.
  • Dry the cot with a soft, clean cloth.

Product Usage Instructions

Assemble the baby cot according to the provided assembly instructions.

  1. Place a mattress with dimensions of at least 120 cm x 60 cm and a thickness not exceeding 12 cm on the cot.
  2. Ensure that the cot is positioned away from strong heat sources like electric bar fires and gas fires.
  3. Adjust the bed base to the desired height, making sure it is at its lowest position when the baby is inside and at least 200 mm above the ground when the baby is outside.
  4. Maintain a distance between the bed and the wall of less than 65 mm or more than 230 mm to prevent children from getting trapped.
  5. Regularly clean the cot by wiping it with a cloth damped in a mild cleaner.
  6. Dry the cot thoroughly with a soft, clean cloth after cleaning.
