Safety Instructions

DANGER:

  • Do not operate the device in explosive atmospheres or near combustible materials.
  • WARNING : Do not vacuum up any flammable, reactive metal dust, undiluted brine, or acids.
  • CAUTION : Do not perform repairs or work on electrical components without proper authorization. –
  • Always remove the battery pack before performing maintenance or cleaning tasks.
  • Use caution while transporting the device and consider its weight.

Assembly:

  • Refer to Figure A for the assembly diagram.
  • Connect the suction hose to the suction hose connection.
  • Insert the battery pack into the battery pack holder and lock it using the release button.

Operation:

  • Dry:
  • Vacuuming: Insert the filter bag to vacuum fine dust. – Wet
  • Vacuuming: Ensure that the filter bag is removed and use the device for wet cleaning.
  • Blowing Function: Connect the suction hose to the blowing connection for blowing tasks.

Ending Operation:

  • Turn off the device and unplug it from the power source.
  • Store the device in a safe and dry place.

Transport:

  • For hand transport, use the handle provided on the device.
  • When transporting vehicles, secure the device properly to prevent damage.

Maintenance:

  • Clean the cartridge filter regularly.
  • Replace the filter bag as necessary.

Act by them. Keep the booklets for future reference or future owners.
In addition to the notes in the operating instructions, you also need to take into consideration the general safety regulations and accident prevention guidelines applicable by law.

General safety instructions

DANGER

  • Risk of asphyxiation. Keep packaging film out of the reach of children.

WARNING

  • Only use the device for its proper use. Take into account the local conditions and beware of third parties, in particular children, when working with the device.

  • Persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities and persons lacking experience and knowl-edge may only use the appli-ance if they are properly supervised, have been instructed on the use of the appliance safe-ly by a person responsible for their safety, and understand the resultant hazards involved.

  • Only people who have been instructed on how to use the device, or have proven their ability to operate it, and have been explicitly instructed to use it, may use the device.

  • Children must not operate the device.

  • Chil-dren from the minimum age of 8 may use the appliance if they are properly supervised or have been instructed in its use by a person responsible for their safety, and if they have understood the resultant hazards involved.

  • Children must be supervised to prevent them from playing with the appliance.

  • Children may only perform cleaning work and user mainte-nance under supervision.

Operation

DANGER
Operation in explosive atmos-pheres is prohibited.

  • Risk of explosion
  • Never use the device to vacuum up combustible gases, liquids, or dust.
  • Never use the device to vacuum up reactive metal dust (e.g. aluminum, magnesium, zinc).
  • Never use the device to vacuum up undiluted brine or acids.
  • Never use the device to vacuum up any burning or smoldering objects/matter These substances can corrode the materials in use on the device.

WARNING

  • Risk of injury.
  • Do not use the nozzle and suction pipe at head height.

CAUTION

  • Never leave the device unsupervised while it is in operation.
  • Accidents or damage due to the device falling over. Before all actions with or on the device, you must make sure that it is stable.

ATTENTION

  • Protect the device from extreme weather conditions, moisture, and heat.
  • Never use the device without a filter, this can lead to device damage.

Care and service

Note

  • Switch off the device and remove the battery pack before performing any care and service work.

CAUTION

  • Have repair work and work on electrical components carried out by authorized customer service only.

WARNING

  • The appliance contains electrical components – do not clean the appliance under running water.

ATTENTION

  • Do not use scouring agents, glass, or multi-purpose cleaner for cleaning.
  • Remove the battery pack from the device before a longer period of inactivity.
  • Remove a used battery pack from the device and dispose of it properly.

Transport

CAUTION

  • To prevent accidents or injuries, you must observe the weight of the device when transporting it.

Intended use

Only use the device in private households. By the descriptions and the safety information in these operating instructions, the device is intended
for use as a multipurpose vacuuming device. Ash and soot must not be vacuumed with this device. For operation, a battery pack of the KÄRCHER Battery Power (+) platform with 18 V nominal voltage and a suitable KÄRCHER charger with 18 V nominal voltage is required. The “set variants” include the battery pack and charger.

Battery packs/chargers that are not supplied in the scope of delivery or are additionally required are available as accessories.

Note : The manufacturer accepts no liability for possible damage caused by improper use or incorrect operation.

Environmental protection

The packing materials can be recycled. Please dispose of the packaging by the environmental regulations. Electrical and electronic appliances contain valuable, recyclable materials and often components such as batteries, rechargeable batteries, or oil, which – if handled or disposed of incorrectly – can pose a potential threat to human health and the environment. However, these components are required for the correct operation of the appliance. Appliances marked by this symbol are not allowed to be disposed of together with household rubbish. Opening the device

1. Press the suction hose into the suction hose connection on the device until it latches into place.
  * To remove, press the latch and pull the suction hose out.
2. Connect the vacuum nozzle to the handle.

  • ATTENTION
    Only use battery packs from the KÄRCHER Battery Power (+) platform with 18 V nominal voltage.

1. Press the I button to switch the device on.  

The suction and blowing functions are switched on.

Damage to the device

Always ensure that the cartridge filter is inserted, for
both wet vacuuming and dry vacuuming.

Dry vacuuming

ATTENTION
Damage to the cartridge filter When changing from wet to dry vacuuming, a wet cartridge filter can become damaged and unusable. Allow the cartridge filter to dry completely before dry vacuuming or replace it with a dry cartridge. Replace the cartridge filter as necessary.

  1. Insert the filter bag when vacuuming fine dust.
  2. The filling degree of the filter bag depends on the amount of dirt vacuumed.
  3. The filter bag must be changed more frequently when vacuuming fine dust, sand, etc.
  4. A damaged filter bag can rupture, so be sure to change the filter bag in time. Wet vacuum cleaning

ATTENTION

Damage due to moisture

Do not use a filter bag for wet vacuum cleaning.

Note: When the container is full, a float switch closes the suction opening and the device runs at a higher speed. Switch off the device immediately and empty the container.

  1. To attach the upholstery nozzle or crevice nozzle to the handle to vacuum up moisture or liquids, see Chapter Connecting Accessories.

Blowing function
Cleaning of locations that are difficult to access or where vacuuming is not possible, e.g. leaf litter from a gravel bed.

    • Push the suction hose into the blower connection until the suction hose latches into place.

1. Press the 0 button to switch the device off.

1. Push the battery pack unlocking button forwards and pull the battery pack upwards out of the battery pack mounting.
2. Charge the battery pack if necessary, see the operating instructions of the battery pack and the charger.

Emptying the container

1. Store the upholstery nozzle and crevice nozzle on the device.
2. For storage of the suction hose, wind the suction hose around the device and fasten using the fastening straps.
3. Store the device in a dry room.

CAUTION

Failure to observe the weight Risk of injury and damage Be aware of the weight of the device during transport and storage.

  1. When transporting in vehicles, secure the device against slipping and tipping over according to the applicable guidelines.

Care and service

Device and accessories

  1. Clean the device and accessory parts made of plastic with a commonly available plastic cleaner.
  2. Rinse the container and accessories with water as necessary and dry them thoroughly before further use.
  3. Regularly check the battery terminals for soiling and clean them as necessary.

Cleaning the cartridge filter

  1. Open the device, see Chapter Installation.

  3. If necessary, clean the cartridge filter under running water but do not rub or scrub it.

  4. Allow the cartridge filter to dry completely before installation.

Replacing the filter bag

  2. Remove the filter bag.

Troubleshooting guide

Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the following overview. When in doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned here, please contact your authorized Customer Service.

Malfunctions
The device not running Battery pack is not correctly seated in the battery pack mounting.

  1. Push the battery pack into the battery pack mounting until it latches into place.

Note:
If necessary, remove the battery pack again and reinsert it until it latches into place.

Charging state of the battery pack (see display) is too low.

  • Charge the battery pack.
    Defective battery pack or charger.

  • Replace the battery pack or charger.

The device switches off automatically

Device/battery pack overheated.

  1. Wait until the device/battery pack has cooled downContainer is full of water, which has activated the float switch.
    Empty the container:

  2. The cartridge filter is entirely wet and has activated the float.

  3. Replace cartridge filter with dry cartridge filter or remove cartridge filter, dry, and reinstall, see chapter
    Cleaning the cartridge filter:

  4. The suction power decreases Upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle, handle, or suction hose are clogged.

  5. Check the upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle, handle, and suction hose, and clean if necessary. The cartridge filter is dirty.

  6. Clean the cartridge filter, see Cleaning the cartridge filter.
    The filter bag is full:

  7. Replace the filter bag, see Replacing the filter bag. The float was activated by jerking or shaking the device.

  8. Switch off the device and wait for the suction turbine to shut down. Turn on the device again
