Product Information

The F-3000 is a replacement filter designed for use with InSinkErator instant water dispensers. It is recommended to replace the filter every 6 months or sooner if a noticeable reduction in flow rate occurs. The filter is certified for cyst reduction and can be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts. It is important to follow the replacement guidelines and dispose of the used filter per applicable rules and regulations.

The filter comes with instructions in multiple languages, including English, Spanish, and French. It is manufactured by InSinkErator, a company located at 1250 International Dr, Mt Pleasant, WI 53177. For more information, visit their website at www.insinkerator.com.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. To replace the filter, first place a pan or dish towel under the filter to catch water drainage during the cartridge change.
  2. Approximately 2 oz. of water will be discharged from the vent line. Pull the used cartridge straight out and discard.
  3. With the Insinkerator Instant Hot Water dispenser filter wording on the filter label facing the left side, insert the new cartridge into the filter head. The top surface of the cartridge should become flush with the bottom of the filter head when fully engaged.
  4. Flush Instructions: Finally, open the hot water faucet to expel trapped air. Flush 3 gallons through the filter before use (approximately 4 minutes).
  5. Replace cartridges every 6 months. To remind yourself, enter the future replacement date on the label and place it on the new cartridge or wherever it is most convenient.
  6. For convenience and savings, scan the provided QR code to sign up for replacement reminders or for the filter subscription service.
  7. Dispose of the used filter according to applicable rules and regulations.

Note: The filter directions are based on the filter position and view where the filter is vertical with the filter head located on top.

6-Month Replacement Filter Guidelines

It is essential that regular filter replacement be carried out for this product to perform as advertised. Replace the cartridge every 6 months or when there is an obvious decrease in water flowing from the faucet or when objectionable taste and/or odors return. Replace with InSinkErator® brand filter cartridges. This replacement filter is for use in F-1000S, F-2000S, and F-3000S systems.*

WARNING: Read and follow manual to reduce the risk of personal injury or property damage.

  • Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before the system. Systems certified for cyst reduction may be used on disinfected water that may contain filterable cysts. EPA Establishment #070595-CT-001.

To reduce the risk associated with choking:

  • DO NOT allow children under 3 years of age to have access to small parts during the installation of this product.

NOTICE: To reduce the risk associated with property damage due to water leakage or flooding:

  • Replace filter every six months, or sooner if water flow rate slows.
  • Failure to replace the disposable filter cartridge at recommended intervals may lead to reduced filter performance and failure of the filter, causing property damage from water leakage or flooding.
  • Protect from freezing, remove filter cartridge when ambient temperatures are expected to drop below 40°F (4.4°C).

To Replace the Filter

First, place a pan or dish-towel under the filter to catch water drainage during the cartridge change.

Note: Directions are based off of the following filter position and view: Filter is vertical with filter head located on top.

  1. Slowly turn cartridge the direction as identified in image 1 completely until it stops (approx. 90º or 1/4 turn). At this position, the inlet and outlet ports have been closed and the filter’s internal pressure has been relieved.
  2. Approximately 2 oz. of water will be discharged from the vent line. Pull used cartridge straight out and discard.
  3. With “Insinkerator Instant Hot Water dispenser filter” wording on the filter label facing the left side, insert new cartridge into filter head. Top surface of cartridge will become flush with bottom of filter head when fully engaged.
  4. Turn cartridge the direction as identified in image 4 until it stops (approx 90º or 1/4 turn) and “Insinkerator Instant Hot Water dispenser filter” wording on the filter-label is facing the front. If the new filter cartridge cannot be inserted, insert the old filter cartridge as outlined step 3 onwards and turn completely until it stops. Then retry new cartridge.
  5. Flush Instructions: Finally, open hot water faucet to expel trapped air. Flush 3 gallons through filter before use (approximately 4 minutes).
