- B. To attach the lower mounting base, add sealant to the groove in the back of the wall escutcheon. Thread the lower mounting base onto the nipple until secure, ensuring the outlet is located at the bottom of the lower mounting base and in a vertical position. Push the escutcheon firmly onto the finished wall.
- Wall Bar Installation:
- C. Mark the placement of the upper mounting base plate holes using a level in a vertical line from the lower mounting base. Use the upper mounting base plate as a guide. The vertical distance between bases should be 28 1/4 inches (717.6 mm).
- D. If anchors are required, press them into the drilled holes and attach the upper mounting base plate with the notch pointing up, using the provided screws.
- E. Press the upper mounting base fully into the bar, then press the bar fully onto the lower mounting base. Slide the upper mounting base onto the mounting stud and press it into the upper mounting plate. Secure by tightening the set screw with the supplied hex key.
- Installation of the Shower Set:
- F. Connect the shower hose to the lower mounting base and the hand held piece, ensuring that the internal gaskets are present in the shower hose nuts.
- G. Place the conical nut of the hose connected to the hand held piece in the slide bar holder and turn it to the desired position.
- H. To slide the mechanism up or down, rotate the handle of the mechanism counterclockwise and slide it on the bar. To relock it into the desired height, rotate the handle back to the downward pointing position.
Note: If hose connections cannot be connected to the lower mounting base, the upper mounting base can be ordered and installed. This will allow the hand shower hose to be connected to a standard wall elbow in the wall.

PLACEMENT OF THE SLIDE BAR
A. Select a convenient height to place the slide bar based on your personal
needs. Be sure to leave enough slack for the hose of the hand shower to
operate freely when the hand shower is placed in the extreme up or down
positions. NOTE: If possible it is recommended that the slide bar brackets be
secured into the wall studs. For ceramic tile installation, drill holes in
grout if possible. Maximum hole diameter in finished wall should be 1 1/2″ (38
mm). Apply plumbers tape to threaded ends of 1/2″ (13 mm) pipe nipple (not
supplied) and attach, nipple must extend past finished wall 7/16″ ±1/16″.
To attach lower mounting base add sealant to groove in back of wall escutcheon
(1) and thread lower mounting base (2) onto nipple until secure making sure
outlet (3) is located on bottom of lower mounting base and in a vertical
position, make sure escutcheon is oriented as shown and pushed firmly onto
finished wall.
CAUTION: To avoid damage to the supply elbow or hose finish during
installation, wrap with a cloth or tape and use only a smooth-jawed wrench. DO
NOT OVER TIGHTEN CONNECTIONS. Proceed to step 2.
NOTE: For optional mounting, remove cap (4), loosen screw (6) and rotate
mounting post (5) 180º, then tighten screw (6) securely and replace cap
(4).
B. Mark, using a level in a vertical line from the lower mounting base, the placement of the upper mounting base plate holes. Use upper mounting base plate (1) as a guide. Vertical distance is 28 1/4″ (717.6 mm) between bases.
WALL BAR INSTALLATION
- A. Before drilling top mounting holes, it is recommended that you place the slide bar and mounting base assembly (1) next to the hole locations you have marked. Make sure mounting bases (2) are pressed fully into bar. Make sure upper base plate (3) aligns with marks for holes. If not, re-mark hole locations. If it aligns, drill the holes in the locations marked. Note: Hole size will be determined by your use of just the screws or anchors and screws for installation. Drill holes for mounting of upper base plate. Start with a smaller drill bit size, 1/8″ is recommended, and drill hole. If you hit a wall stud, go to next step. If you do not hit a wall stud, change to a drill bit size suitable for the anchors, 1/4″ is recommended, and re-drill hole. Anchors are for use on drywall or tile. For fiberglass, acrylic and flat plastic surfaces, use toggle bolts.
- B. If anchors (1) are required for your installation, press anchors (1) into drilled holes and attach upper mounting base plate (2), with notch (3) pointing up, using screws provided. C. Press upper mounting base (4) fully into bar (5). Press bar (5) fully onto lower mounting base (6). Slide upper mounting base (4) onto mounting stud (7) and press into upper mounting plate (2). Secure by tightening set screw (8) with supplied hex key.
INSTALLATION OF THE SHOWER SET
Connect the shower hose to the lower mounting base (6) and the hand held piece
(9), ensuring that the internal gaskets (10) are present in the shower hose
nuts.
Place the conical nut (11) of the hose that is connected to the hand held
piece, in the slide bar holder (12) and turn it to desired position.
To slide the mechanism up or down, rotate the handle (13) of the mechanism
counterclockwise and slide it on the bar. To relock it into the desired
height, rotate handle back to the downward pointing position.
NOTE: In instances where the hose connections are not able to be connected to
the lower mounting base (6), the upper mounting base (4) can be ordered and
installed. This will allow the handshower hose to be connected to a standard
wall elbow in the wall.
