Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.

Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.

All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.

Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorised way will void the warranty.
Battery Installation
Throw batteries in fire as they might explode. Refer to the illustrations on

Open the left and right battery compartments at the back of the clock. Press lightly on the cover and slide away from the centre.

Insert one new AAA battery in each battery compartment minding the polarity as indicated inside the compartment.

Close the battery compartments.

Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries and do not throw batteries in fire as they might explode.
WARNING: Keep batteries away from children.
Using Your Luggage Scale
Refer to the illustrations on page 2.
Switching On and Preparing Your Luggage Scale
Press the sides of the lock and pull the lock to open.
- Wrap the belt around your luggage handle and close the belt lock. Make sure it is fully closed as luggage being dropped may cause damage or injuries.
- Now press the ON button to power up your luggage scale.
Choosing the Measuring Unit
Press the UNIT button and select your preferred measuring unit: pounds (lb), ounces (oz), kilograms (kg) or grams (g).
Weighing Your Luggage
- Once your scale safely attached to your luggage and your measuring unit chosen, firmly hold the scale by the grip as illustrated on page 2 and lift gently.
- Keep the scale as stable as you can. The LCD reading will lock and display, and the scale will beep after 2 seconds.
- Read the weight from the LCD and press the ON button to unlock the LCD display. Note that the LCD display will read when the weighed luggage has exceeded the maximum weighing capacity of the scale.
Tare Function
Attach the scale to the container. Weigh the container as you would weigh
your luggage and briefly press the TARE button after the beep.
Switching Off Your Luggage Scale
Your luggage scale will automatically switch off 30 seconds after weighing.
You can also switch off your scale by keeping the ON button pressed.
Notebook
- Avoid using abrasive solutions or solvents eg benzene.
- Take out the batteries before storing the scale.
- Clean the scale with water and some mild detergent. Never use abrasive solutions or solvents e.g. benzene.
- Replace both batteries as soon as the symbol is displayed. Take out the batteries before storing the scale

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):
- All consumer products are subject to a 24- month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
- Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion. You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchaseprice in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
- Not covered by warranty:
- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity…), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
- frequently replaced consumable goods, parts or accessories such as batteries, lamps, rubber parts, drive belts… (unlimited list);
- flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc.;
- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;
- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;
- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.
- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
- Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a nondefective article can also involve handling costs.
- Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
- The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
