Product Usage Instructions

  1. Start-up:
  2. Connect the timer to the power source.
  3. Configure the current time.
  4. Set the ON/OFF programs.
  5. Select the 12/24-hour mode if desired.
  6. Setting the current time:
  7. Press the “SET” button.
  8. Use the buttons or knobs to adjust the hour and minute.
  9. Press “SET” again to save the time.
  10. Setting ON/OFF programs:
  11. Press the “TIMER” button.
  12. Use the buttons or knobs to select the day, hour, and minute for each program.
  13. Press “TIMER” again to save the program.
  14. Selecting 12/24-hour mode:
  15. Press the “CLOCK” button.
  16. Use the buttons or knobs to toggle between 12-hour and 24-hour mode.
  17. Press “CLOCK” again to save the mode.
  18. Operation priority: Please note the order of operation priority when using the timer:
  19. Device ON or OFF
  20. Random mode
  21. ON/OFF events

Safety introduction

KEYBOARD DEFINITION

  • a. MASTER CLEAR: Clear all data in memory including current time and all programs.
  • b. RANDOM: Set or cancel random function.
  • c. CLOCK: Set current time combined with buttons WEEK, HOUR, MINUTE. Select 12 or 24 hour mode combined with button TIMER. Activate summertime function combined with button ON/AUTO/OFF.
  • d. TIMER: Set programs combined with buttons WEEK, HOUR, MINUTE. Select 12 or 24 hour mode combined with button CLOCK.
  • e. ON/AUTO/OFF: Select operating modes of timer. Activate summertime function combined with button CLOCK.
  • f. WEEK: Set week combined with button CLOCK or TIMER.
  • g. HOUR: Set hour combined with button CLOCK or TIMER.
  • h. MINUTE: Set minute combined with button CLOCK or TIMER.
  • i. RST/RCL: Restore or recall ON/OFF programs.

Initial operation

Plug the timer into a regular 230VAC power outlet. Leave for approximately 1 hour to charge the Memory Back-up battery.
Clear all current information by pressing MASTER CLEAR button with a sharp object such as a pen or pencil after charging.
The timer is now ready to be set up for use.

Set current time

While the timer is at clock mode, press CLOCK button and hold, simultaneously press WEEK button until the actual day is displayed. Continue by pressing HOUR or MINUTE button until the current hour or minute is displayed. When setting, the buttons WEEK, HOUR or MINUTE can be held down for rapid forward counting. Release both buttons to complete the setup.
To reset incorrect time, repeat above steps.

Set on/off programs

  1. While the timer is at clock mode, press TIMER button once and release. LCD shows 1ON –:–. The first ON setting can be made now.
  2. Press WEEK button to set the day or block of days. Set the time by pressing HOUR and MINUTE button  respectively.
  3. Press TIMER button once again to finish the first ON setting and enter into the first OFF setting. LCD shows 1OFF–:–. Repeat step 2 to complete the first OFF setting.

If necessary, repeat step 1, 2 and 3 to program additional 9 ON/OFF settings.
While setting, TIMER, WEEK, HOUR or MINUTE button can be held down for rapid forward counting.
While programming, press CLOCK button to exit ON/OFF programs setting mode and return to CLOCK mode. While programming, if no button is pushed for 30 seconds the timer will return to CLOCK mode.

EXAMPLE: Timer ON at 17:15 and OFF at 22:30 everyday

  1. Press TIMER once and release. LCD displays 1ON –:–.
  2. Press WEEK till LCD displays “MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU”.
  3. Press HOUR till LCD displays 5:00PM or 17:00.
  4. Press MINUTE till LCD displays 5:15PM or 17:15.
  5. Press TIMER again and release. LCD displays 1OFF–:–.
    Repeat the above b, c and d till LCD displays “MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU”,10:30PM or 22:30.

Please note:

  1. Check your programs ensure that the settings do not overlap, especially when using the block option. If program settings are overlapped, the timer ON or OFF is executed according to program time, not by program number. Program OFF has the priority over program ON.
  2. To recall any ON/OFF program, press RST/RCL button in the program setting mode. The display replaces the program with dashes “–:–” . Press RST/RCL button once again to resume the previous setting. If you just want to use few ON/OFF programs, please make sure the rest ON/OFF programs shows “–:–” .
  3. If you want to activate ON/OFF programs, ensure the timer must be in AUTO mode. Random function is canceled.

Set mode

While the timer is at clock mode, press ON/AUTO/OFF button as necessary to display:

  • “ON” – the plugged in device remain ON.
  • “OFF” – the plugged in device remain OFF.
  • “AUTO” – the plugged in device follows your programmed timer settings.

Please note: If the mode is turned from ON to AUTO, the attached device will keep on until the next programmed OFF time. If the mode is turned from OFF to AUTO, the attached device will keep off until the next programmed ON time.

Random function

While the timer is at clock mode, press RANDOM button, LCD displays R. Random function is activated. When random is activated, the timer is in ON position randomly for 10-31 minutes during the time gap from 6:00PM to 6:00AM.
Press RANDOM button again to cancel this function.

Please note:

  1. To activate random function, ensure the timer is in “AUTO” mode.
  2. When random is activated, ON/OFF programs between 6:00PM and 6:00AM are automatically blocked.

12/24 Hour Mode

Press CLOCK and TIMER simultaneously to turn the time display between 12 and 24 hour mode.

Summertime function

Press CLOCK and ON/AUTO/OFF simultaneously. LCD shows S(Summer time). Clock advances 1 hour. To revert to winter setting, press the two buttons again. Clock moves backward 1 hour. S disappears in LCD.

Operation priority (from the highest to the lowest)

Please notice the operation priority when you use the timer:

  1. ON OR OFF ——►
  2. RANDOM——►
  3. ON/OFF EVENTS.
