Product Information
This product is a smartphone running on Android 11 operating system. It offers various features and improvements such as adjustable keyboard size and position, resizable pop-up keyboard, improved multiple photo selection in the Gallery app, separate Conversations panel for message notifications, hiding navigation bar, notification history, device controls for connected devices, one-time permission for location, microphone, and camera access, and the ability to scan QR codes using the camera.

OS Upgrade Guide
Update your smartphone to the latest SW version to upgrade the OS. To update to the latest OS
- Tap Software Update on the notification panel when FOTA (Firmware Over the Air) service is available, or
- Go to Settings and select Software Update.
Once the software update is complete, the smartphone OS will be upgraded.
Before Installation
- Make sure to back up important data saved on your smartphone before performing a SW update. Data may get damaged if an error occurs while the update is in progress.
- Be careful that the smartphone is not turned off while the software is being updated. Make sure to charge the smartphone so it has enough power to perform the update.
- Once the OS upgrade is complete, it is not possible to downgrade the OS based on the reinforced security policy.
Before Use
- After the new OS is installed, some features, services or apps used in the previous OS version may be changed or discontinued without prior notification based on the policies pertaining to apps, services and mobile network operator.
- This manual provides some of the main changes in Android 11. The changes may vary by region, model, mobile network operator, etc.
- For detailed instructions, refer to the User Guide provided on the LG website. Some instructions in the User Guide may differ as they are based on the previous OS version.
- For inquiries on network services, apps or operator policies, please contact the relevant mobile network operator.
- The contents in this manual may differ depending on the mobile network operator, software version, app version, user environment, pricing plan, country, region, model, manufacturer’s service policy, OS upgrade status, etc.
New Features
Adjust keyboard size and position
Keyboard size and position can be adjusted as desired.
- Select icon on the top-right corner of the keyboard.
- Smart tools will be shown.
- Select among Smart tools.
- Keyboard adjustment guide will be shown.
- Adjust keyboard size and position using the Keyboard adjustment guide.
- Drag to adjust keyboard size and position as desired.
Resize the pop-up keyboard
Pop-up keyboard can be resized as desired.
- Select icon on the top-right corner of the keyboard.
- Smart tools will be shown.
- Select among Smart tools.
- Pop-up keyboard will be shown.
- Select icon on the top right of the pop-up keyboard.
- Smart tools will be shown.
- Select among Smart tools.
- Keyboard adjustment guide will be shown.
- Adjust keyboard size and position using the Keyboard adjustment guide.
- Drag to adjust keyboard size and position as desired.
Screenshot
The screenshot preview thumbnail is not shown in the captured image even when
you take a screenshot immediately after another while the thumbnail is
displayed.
To capture a screenshot, press the Power button & Volume down button together,
or swipe down the notification panel and select in the quick setting window.
Conversation Notification
A separate Conversations panel is available for message notifications
received from messaging apps. Reply, Mark as read, and Mute the sound can be
done in the Conversations panel.
- When a message is received, a separate Conversations panel appears in the notification panel.
- Swipe down the notification panel and read the message in the Conversations panel.
- Messages can be replied to directly in the Conversations panel.
- Select Reply.
- Write a message and tap to send the message.
- Select to move to Chat bubbles.
- A Chat bubble will pop up.
- Tap the bubble to open up the chat window to send/receive messages.
- Select Mark as read to change the message status as read.
Gallery App
The multiple photo selection feature has improved in the Gallery app.
- Touch and hold the first image in the Gallery app.
- will be shown on all the images.
- will be shown on the selected images.
- Drag the finger until the last image is selected.
- Unselected photos in the Gallery can be selected in the same way.
Multiple photo selection can be done even after the finger is lifted from the screen.
Hiding Navigation Bar
The Navigation bar can be hidden when the Navigation bar style is set as
Gestures Mode. Go to Settings Display Navigation bar Hide navigation bar.
- In case Navigation bar style is set as Buttons only, this feature is not supported.
Notification history
Dismissed notifications can be found in the Notification history menu. Go to
Settings Notifications Notification history.
- Notifications that have been dismissed for the last 24 hours can be found.
Hide Silent Notifications
Silent notifications can be hidden in the status bar. Go to Settings
Notifications Status bar Notification icons Show all except silent
notifications.
Device Controls
Device control helps to control all connected devices easily like Google
Home devices without opening the Google Home app.
- Go to Settings Extensions Power screen IoT device controls.
- Long press the Power button, then the Device controls screen will be shown.
- Connected IoT devices can be controlled.
Google Home must be installed in order to use the Device controls feature.
One-time permission
When an app requests a permission related to the location, microphone or
camera, the “Ask every time” option is now available.
- Go to Settings Apps App Info.
- Select an app and tap Permissions.
- If Ask every time is selected, a temporary one time permission will be granted to the app.
Scan QR Code
A QR code can be scanned using the camera. Reflect the QR code in the
preview screen of Camera app and scan the QR code.
