Product Information
The EC1186C/EC1187C is a light fixture that includes a wire connector (A), mounting bracket (B), fixture body (C), lamp shade (D), socket collar (E), and bulb (F). It is designed to be mounted on an outlet box and requires a maximum of 100 watts. The fixture comes with two canopy mounting screws (a) and two barrel knobs (c).
Product Usage Instructions
WARNING: To avoid the risk of electrical shock, turn off the main power prior to installation.
CAUTION: Refer to the wattage caution label located near the socket for maximum wattage. Do not exceed the maximum rated wattage.
- Carefully unpack the fixture from the carton and lay all components on a clean, flat surface.
- Install the two canopy mounting screws (a) onto the mounting bracket (B) with screws facing outward. Install the mounting bracket (B) onto the outlet box with two long screws (not included). Note: The side of the mounting plate marked GND must face out.
- Connect the ground wire from the fixture and canopy to the junction box. Secure the electrical connections using wire connector (A). Connect the neutral (or white) wire from the fixture to neutral wire from power supply with wire connector (A). Connect the hot (or black) wire from fixture to hot wire from power supply with wire connector (A). Tuck wires neatly back into the outlet box.
- Mount fixture body (C) onto the mounting bracket by lifting it onto the screws facing outward. Tighten and secure in place with barrel knobs (c).
- Install lamp shade (D) onto the fixture body (C). Tighten the lamp shade (D) with socket collar (E).
- Screw bulb (not included) (F) into the lamp socket. Do not exceed the maximum wattage specified on the fixture’s wattage rating label.

ASSEMBLY & INSTALLATION

Carefully unpack fixture from the carton. Take the parts out of the package and lay all the fixture components in a clean and flat surface.

Install Canopy Mounting Screws (a) to the Mounting Bracket (B) with screws facing outward. Install Mounting Bracket
(B) to the outlet box with Long Screws (not included).
Note: The side of mounting plate marked “GND” must face out. -
Connect the GROUND WIRE from the fixture and canopy to junction box, secure the electrical connections using the Wire Connector (A). Connect the NEUTRAL (OR WHITE) WIRE from the fixture to NEUTRAL WIRE from power supply with the Wire Connector (A). Connect the HOT (OR BLACK) WIRE from fixture to HOT WIRE from power supply with the Wire Connector (A). Tuck wires neatly back into the outlet box.

Mount Fixture Body (C) on to the Mounting Bracket by lifting it on to the screws facing outward. Tighten and secure in place with Barrel Knobs (c).

Install Lamp Shade (D) onto the Fixture Body (C). Tighten the Lamp Shade (D) with Socket Collar (E).
Screw Bulb (not included) (E) into the lamp socket. Do not exceed the maximum wattage specified on the fixture’s wattage rating label.
MAXIMUM 100 Watts.
