Tips for getting rid of strange odors in the thermopot
To get rid of strange odors after boiling water, and thus remove its unpleasant taste of drinks, use one of the methods described below:

  1. Lemon juice. Pour the juice of three or four lemons into the thermopot, fill it with water until the «FULL» mark is reached and begin boiling. After that, leave the solution for a few hours and boil the solution again, then rinse the thermopot with cold water. Repeat these steps if necessary.
  2. Citric acid. Fill the thermopot with water until the «FULL» mark is reached and pour citric acid there at the rate of 20 g per 1 liter of water. Boil and leave the solution for a few hours, then boil the solution again, drain it, then rinse the thermopot with water.
  3. Lemon peel. Fill the half of thermopot with lemon peel and pour water to the «FULL» mark. Boil and leave it for several hours. Then boil again, remove the lemon peel from the thermopot and rinse it with water.
  4. Vinegar or vinegar essence. Pour water into the thermopot, add half a cup of 9% vinegar or 2 tablespoons of 70% vinegar essence. Heat the thermopot without bringing the solution to a boiling condition, as it can spill over the edge when boiling. Repeat 2-3 times, drain the solution and rinse the thermopot with water.
  5. Baking soda. Pour water into the thermopot, add 3 tablespoons of baking soda, boil the water, wait until it cools, and boil again. Then drain the entire solution and rinse the thermopot with water.

Removing of scale (when using tap water}
Impurities in tap water contribute to the formation of scale on the metal parts of the thermopot, which negatively affects the taste of drinks. To neutralize scale, use the following tips:

  • Boil water in a thermopot containing vinegar solution. To do this, fill the thermopot with water, add 2-4 tablespoons of table vinegar and bring it to a boiling condition. Then rinse with plenty of clean water. Leave the thermopot open for a day in a well-ventilated room.
  • Use specialized cleaning products.
