Product Information

The Model 3 2022 AMD DIY (No Controller) is an aftermarket product that can be installed in Tesla Model 3 cars. Before installing the product, customers need to turn off the power on the Tesla screen, disconnect the negative pole of the 12V power supply at the frunk and disconnect the high-voltage gray plug under the right side of the rear seat. Failure to do so may cause window lifting faults, door faults, or screen fault codes. If the vehicle is found to have inoperable faults or other serious faults, customers need to contact Tesla’s after-sales department for maintenance. To avoid Tesla blaming the problems on the installed products, customers need to remove the products first and then go to Tesla’s after-sales department for maintenance. Otherwise, Tesla will charge maintenance fees which will be borne by the customer.

Product Usage Instructions

Follow the below installation steps to install the Model 3 2022 AMD DIY (No Controller):

  1. Turn off the host power in the vehicle setting.
  2. Remove the negative pole of the small battery on the Frunk.
  3. Open the rear seat cushion and unplug the power plug.
  4. Transfer the plugs at AB as shown in the wiring diagram (red line) of the harness. See the schematic diagram for details.
  5. Area A and B are the positions of the plug, and the red line is the wiring harness routing position.
  6. Remove the screws and buckles from the guard board on the front passenger foot socket, and then remove the guard board.
  7. After removing the knee pad at the front passenger’s position, transfer the penultimate black plug of the host to plug.
  8. Find the main plug of the right door on the right side of the foot socket under the A-pillar of the front right seat and transfer it to plug.
  9. Connect the plug to the plug of the cover plate under the passenger side B pillar.
  10. Find the plug as shown in the figure on the cover plate under the passenger’s B-pillar and transfer it to plug.

Note: Before installing the product, please do the following steps:

  1. Turn off the power on Tesla screen;
  2. Disconnect the negative pole of 12V power supply at the frunk;
  3. Finally, disconnect the high-voltage gray plug under the right side of the rear seat. Otherwise, it will cause window lifting fault, door fault, or screen fault code.

Installation steps

Before installing the product, please turn off the power supply on the screen first, then disconnect the gray DCDC plug under the right rear seat, and then disconnect the negative pole of the battery in the frrunk. Otherwise, it will cause window lifting fault, door fault, or screen fault code.

  5. First remove the screws and buckles from the guard board on the front passenger foot socket, and then remove the guard board
