EnGenius Wireless Distribution System
Product Information
The product is a Wireless Distribution System that can function as an Access Point, Station, or Master Device. It operates on the 5GHz frequency and supports WDS AP and WDS Station modes. The product also supports WPA2-Personal security mode and has a maximum data rate based on IEEE 802.11 standards.
Product Usage Instructions
- Go to the Wireless section under Network and uncheck the Green box.
- Select USA from the drop-down menu of Country/Region.
- Set Channel HT to 20 MHz and select a channel from 149 to 165.
- Set the transmission power to 22 dBm if the distance is under 500ft or 26 dBm if the distance is over 700ft.
- Go to Wireless Settings and tap Edit.
- Set the SSID for the device.
- Select WPA2-Personal under Security Mode.
- Set the Passphrase for the device.
- Tap Save to continue and then tap Save to apply all configuration changes.
- Tap Scan for AP Detection to search for the 5GHz MAC Address of the Master Device.
- Double-tap on the MAC Address of the Master Device (highlighted).
- Enter the Passphrase of SSID for the Master Device and tap Save to continue.
- Select Station from the drop-down menu of Operation Mode.
- Uncheck the Green box.
- Set the transmission power to 22 dBm if the distance is under 500ft or 26 dBm if the distance is over 700ft.
- Tap Apply to continue and then tap Apply to continue again.
Note: Actual throughput and range may vary depending on the distance between devices or traffic and bandwidth load in the network.
Master Device
- Go to “Wireless” under “Network”
- Uncheck the “Green” box
- Select “USA” from the drop-down menu of “Country/Region”
- Set Channel HT to 20 MHz, and select a channel from 149 to 165
- Set 22 dBm if the distance is under 500ft or 26 dBm if the distance is over 700ft
- Go to “Wireless Setting”
- Tap “Edit”
- Set SSID
- Select “WPA2-Personal” under “Security Mode”
- Set the Passphrase
- Tap “Save” to continue
- Tap “Save” to apply all configuration change
Remote Device
- Select “Station” from the drop-down menu of Operation Mode
- Uncheck the box of “Green”
- Set 22 dBm if the distance is under 500ft or 26 dBm if the distance is over 700ft
- Tap “Scan” for AP Detection. Search for the 5GHz MAC Address of the Master Devices
- Double tap for the MAC Address of 5GHz MAC Address of the Master Device (highlighted)
- Enter the Passphrase of SSID for the Master device
- Tap “Save” to continue
- Tap “Apply” to continue
- Tap “Apply” to continue
