KAWOTI 21158 Table Lamp
Product Information
The Table Lamp Model number 21158 comes with a finial (H1), harp (H2), socket assembly (H3), butterfly nut (H4), and hardware. The lamp is designed to be used with a MAX 60W medium base (E26) bulb or a MAX 16W medium base (E26) self-ballasted LED bulb. The lamp is not intended to be used with an extension cord, and the plug should not be altered. The lamp comes with important safety information that should be read and kept for future reference.
Product Usage Instructions
- Preparation: Ensure that the lamp is unplugged from the power source before assembly.
- Assembling the socket assembly: Connect the socket assembly (H3) to the fixture body (B).
- Assembling the harp: Pre-assemble the finial (H1) to the harp (H2) and attach it to the socket assembly (H3) using the butterfly nut (H4).
- Installing the light bulb: Insert a MAX 60W medium base (E26) bulb or a MAX 16W medium base (E26) self-ballasted LED bulb into the socket assembly (H3).
- Assembling the shade: Place the shade onto the harp and secure it in place using the finial (H1). If the shade is skewed, adjust it using the finial (H1). Remove the plastic cover from the shade before using it.
- Turning on the lamp: Plug in the lamp and use the switch to turn it on and off.
- Cleaning: Unplug the lamp and allow it to cool before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the lamp. Do not use water or cleaning solutions.
- Troubleshooting: If the lamp does not turn on, ensure that it is plugged in and that the light bulb is securely in place. If the problem persists, contact a qualified electrician.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
- This lamp is for indoor use only. The lamp should not be used near water. Never immerse the lamp in water or other liquids.
- Never cover the lamp with any object including cloth or paper as this is a fire hazard.
- Do not handle the bulb immediately after the light is turned off as it will be hot.
- This portable lamp has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature to reduce the risk of electric shock. This plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use an extension cord unless plug can be fully inserted. Do not alter the plug.
PREPARATION
- Before beginning assembly, installation or operation of the product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with the package contents list and the diagram on the previous page. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble, install or operate the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts.
ASSEMBLY
Assembling the socket assembly
- Pull the excess power cord through the base of the fixture body (B).
- Slide the nipple of the bottom of the socket assembly (H3) through the hole on the base (B), then secure the socket assembly (H3) with the butterfly nut (H4).
Assembling the harp
- Insert the harp (H2) prongs into the saddle of the socket assembly (H3) and slide the retaining covers over the joints to secure the harp.
Installing the light bulb
- Install the light bulb (not provided) into the socket. Use one MAX 100 W medium base (E26) type “A” bulb (recommended).
NOTE: You can also use one MAX 16W medium base (E26) self-ballasted LED bulb. Do not exceed the recommended wattage.
Assembling the shade
- Unscrew the finial (H1) from the harp (H2).
- Place the shade (A) onto the harp (H2) and secure it with the finial (H1).
- Plug into the wall outlet, press the switch, and enjoy.
NOTE: Grasp the finial (H1) to adjust the shade assembly to level if the shade is skewed. Remove the plastic cover from the shade before using it.
CLEANING
- Do not use any cleaners with chemicals, solvents, or harsh abrasives. Use only dry, soft cloth to dust or wipe carefully.
- To clean the fixture, pull the plug from the wall outlet. Use a dry or slightly dampened, clean cloth to wipe the exterior surface of the fixture.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- The light does not come on at all:
- Ensure that the bulb is burned out.
- Ensure the power supply is turned on.
- Ensure the cord is plugged into an outlet.
- Ensure the circuit breaker is set in the “ON” position.
- The fuse blows or the circuit trips when the light is turned on.
- Check for crossed wires, and ensure the wiring is correct.
