GENERAL INFORMATION

IMPORTANT

  • Check the inside of the larger pieces in your box for other materials packed inside.
  •  When assembling components, place on a non-abrasive surface (i.e. shipping box) to avoid scratching.
  •  We recommend an area approximately 5’x 8’ for unobstructed assembling.
  •  You should not need to use excessive force when assembling components.

STEP 1: LAY OUT MATERIALS

  • Post Cap (4)

  • Wood Assembly Spacer (2)

  • Left Post (2) 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ x 42″
    Lay Out Materials

  • Right Post (2) 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ x 42″

  • Spacer (36) 7/8″ x 11/9″ x 11/9″

  • Post Anchor (4) 7/8″ x 1 1/9″ x 17″

  • Board (20)  5/8″ x 25/8″ x 38″

  • Joiner Clip (2) 1/13″ x 3/4″ x 1 3/4″

  • 1Stainless Steel Screw (20)

  • 1/8″ Steel Drill Bit (1)

STEP 2: INSERT BOARD

STEP 2.1

  • Orient the Left Post (C) and the Right Post (D) as shown below.

    NOTE: The end of each post marked with a sticker is the top

STEP 2.2

  • Insert (1) Board (G) into the grooves of the left and right post.

STEP 3: FASTEN POST ANCHORS

STEP 3.1

  • Use (2) Wood Assembly Spacers (B) to align the board with the four pre-drilled post holes. The spacers can be removed after the height of the bottom board is established.

STEP 3.2

  1. Insert (2) Post Anchors (F), into the posts until the pre-drilled holes in the anchors and posts align.
  2. Drive (4) 1″ Stainless Steel Screws (I) into the pre-drilled holes in the posts to secure the board and post anchors.

STEP 4: COMPLETE THE FIRST SCREEN

STEP 4.1

  1. Orient and drop (1) Spacer (E) into both of the post channels as shown.

  2. Insert (1) board into the grooves of the left and right post.

STEP 4.2

  1. Repeat Step 4.1 until all boards have been inserted.

  2. Drive (2) 1″ stainless steel screws into the pre-drilled holes in the posts to secure the boards.

STEP 5: ASSEMBLE THE SECOND SCREEN

STEP 5.1

  • Repeat Steps 2-4 in order to assemble the second screen.

STEP 6: INSTALLING THE SCREEN IN THE GROUND

STEP 6.1

  1. Move the screen to its final location and identify where the posts are located. Attempt to push the unit into the ground as illustrated.
    (Optional)

  2. If your ground is too hard, loosen the top 6″ or 7″ of the ground with a claw hammer as illustrated.

  3. Add water to loosened soil.

  4. Use a block of wood to protect the top of the post and gently hammer the post into the ground.

STEP 6.2

  • (Optional)
    If your ground is too hard, dig a hole 8″ in diameter and 14″ deep to accommodate one post from each screen as shown below.

STEP 6.3

  • Level the screen, as necessary, backfill excavated dirt, and tamp if needed.

STEP 7: CONNECT THE SCREENS

STEP 7.1

  1. Straight Line Application: Using the included 1/8″ Steel Drill Bit (J), pre-drill holes in the posts through the two holes in each joiner clip. Connect the screens as shown below using Joiner Clips (H) and 1″ stainless steel screws.

  2. Corner Application: Using the included 1/8″ Steel Drill Bit (J), pre-drill holes in the posts through the two holes in each joiner clip. Connect the screens as shown below using Joiner Clips (H) and 1″ stainless steel screws.

STEP 8: INSTALL POST CAPS

  • Install (4) Post Caps (A) into the tops of the posts.
