Product Information

The Rugged Bluetooth Keyboard with Trackpad is designed for use with Apple iPad 10.9 (10th Gen). The keyboard features a built-in trackpad and case with viewing angle adjustment. It can be paired with up to two devices and has a battery life check function.

Product Usage

Installation

Place the case on a flat surface.
Align the device’s camera with the camera opening on the case.
Insert the device at an angle starting at the top (camera side).
Let the device rest on the bottom of the case and gently press it down into the case.
Press around all the edges to ensure the device is installed properly in the case.
Unfold the keyboard cover and place it on a flat surface. Take the device in the case and rest it in the center groove
above the keyboard.
Ensure the case is oriented with the Pencil holder on top. You should feel the magnets engage.
While still holding the case, lift the back cover and engage the magnets against the back of the case.

Viewing Angle Adjustment
The Rugged Bluetooth Keyboard features built-in magnets that work together with the cover-stand to create 4 viewing angles. To adjust the viewing angle:

Slide the cover-stand up or down along the back of the device case until the desired position is found.
You should feel the magnets engage as you adjust the cover-stand.

Powering Your Keyboard
Ensure your keyboard has been charged using the included USB-C charging cable and a compatible USB-C 5V charger (not included). You can also charge your keyboard from a compatible USB-C port on a computing device.

To power on: Locate the Power key on the top right corner of your keyboard. Press and hold the Power key for 1 second until the power LED lights up solid, then release.
To power off: Press and hold the Power key for 3 seconds. The power LED will flash 3 times, indicating the keyboard has been powered off.
Standby mode: Your keyboard will go into Standby mode after 40 seconds of inactivity. Press any key to wake it.

Pairing Keyboard

The Rugged Bluetooth Keyboard can pair with up to 2 devices. Once paired, you can easily toggle between devices by pressing the Bluetooth 1 and Bluetooth 2 keys on the keyboard. To pair:

Ensure your device’s Bluetooth connection is enabled.
Press and hold the 1 or 2 key for 3 seconds. Release the key after the LED on the Power key begins flashing rapidly. Your keyboard is now in pairing mode.
Go to your device Bluetooth settings and search for UAG Keyboard 0XXXX. The last four digits should coincide with the digits listed on the white label located to the left of the track pad.
Select the appropriate keyboard on your Bluetooth device list.
You will immediately be prompted to enter a security passkey.
Key in the corresponding 4 digit passkey on your UAG Rugged Bluetooth keyboard followed by the Return or Enter key.
Your Keyboard should now be paired and connected with your device.
Repeat the steps above to pair a second device or if the pairing process fails.

Product Battery Life Check

To check the battery life, press fn + B key. This will cause the LED indicator on the Power key to flash one of the following ways:

Four flashes = ~ 80% – 100% battery life.
Three flashes = ~60% – 79% battery.
Two flashes = ~35% – 59% battery.
One flash = low battery.

CASE INSTALLATION

Place your case on a flat surface.
Align your device’s camera with the camera opening on the case.

VIEWING ANGLE ADJUSTMENT

The Rugged Bluetooth Keyboard features built-in magnets that work together with the cover-stand to create 4 viewing angles.
To adjust the viewing angle, slide the cover-stand up or down along the back of the device case until the desired position is found. You should feel the magnets engage as you adjust the cover-stand.

TO POWER ON:

BATTERY LIFE CHECK

To help preserve battery life, your Bluetooth Keyboard will enter sleep mode if left on and not used for several minutes; press any key to wake it.
NOTE: The backlights will automatically turn off after 40 seconds if not used. Begin typing again to activate them.

LED ADJUSTMENT

FN + – Use this toggle between 7 LED colors. Long press for more than 1 second to switch backlit to breathing light mode.
FN + – Toggle the backlit level of intensity.
