Product Information

The product is a security system that includes an external fingerprint reader and a control unit. The external unit is designed to be mounted over a flush round electrical junction box with a diameter of 60 mm. It is certified with IP65 protection class, which makes it resistant to dust and water. The control unit is housed in a DIN rail in the fuse box and requires two modules of space. It has two relay outputs that function as switches without electric potential. The power supply included in the package has an output of 12 V and 2 A, and the input can be either 110 V or 220 V.

Product Usage Instructions

To use the product, follow these instructions:

  1. Install the external unit over a flush round electrical junction box with a diameter of 60 mm. The recommended height for installation is between 140 and 150 mm from the ground.
  2. Mount the control unit on a DIN rail in the fuse box and connect it to the power supply. The power supply requires two additional modules of space and has an output of 12 V and 2 A. The input can be either 110 V or 220 V.
  3. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to use the fingerprint reader, pair your phone, interpret light signals, and use the application.

Instructions

  1. External unit (fingerprint reader) is designed to be mounted over flush round electrical junction box, 60 mm in diameter. The most suitable height for installation is between 140 and 150 mm from the ground. This will enable a person of average height to use the fingerprint reader comfortably. The external unit is certified with IP65 protection class but nevertheless avoiding exposure to rain and direct sunlight is strongly advised.
  2. The housing of the control unit is ready to be mounted on a DIN rail in the fuse box. It needs the space for 2 modules. Additional 2 modules are needed for the enclosed power supply. Output of the power supply is 12 V, 2 A. Input is 110 V or 220 V respectively.
  3. Contacts on the control unit are marked and examples of connection diagrams are shown in this manual. The control unit and the reader should be connected by three insulated copper wires AWG 20 (0,5 mm2 ) which should be laid in their own conduit. The wires for connecting the reader must be separate from the high voltage cables! Should the cables be in the same conduit, coaxial cables must be used and should be properly grounded. Length of the connection between the reader and the control unit must not exceed 40 m. The installation has to be performed by a certified electrician! The fingerprint reader and the control unit are connected by three wires:
    • 1 = +5 V – positive pole
    • 2 = GND – negative pole
    • 3 = COM – encrypted communication
  4. The control unit has two relay outputs. Outputs for relay one are on contacts 6 and 7 and outputs for relay two on contacts 4 and 5. Relays function as switches and are without electric potential.
  5. Informations about the use of the fingerprint reader, pairing the phone, light signals and the use of the application are available in the User Manual.
