Product Information

The RAK11721 is a device that uses RUI3 (RAKwireless Unified Interface V3) firmware. It allows access to AT commands via UART0 by default. The full list of commands can be found in the RUI3 AT Commands Documentation.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Connect the RAK11721 device to your computer using a UART cable.
  2. Open a terminal emulator on your computer and configure it to communicate with the RAK11721 device via UART0.
  3. Access the AT command prompt by typing “AT” in the terminal emulator and pressing enter. You should receive an “OK” response from the device.
  4. Refer to the RUI3 AT Commands Documentation to execute specific commands by typing them into the terminal emulator and pressing enter.
  5. Once you have finished using the device, type “AT+EXIT” in the terminal emulator and press enter to exit the AT command prompt.

Overview

  • RAK11721 is based on the Ambiq Apollo3 Blue AMA3B1KK-KBR-B0 SoC MCU and Semtech LoRa transceiver SX1262. It is designed to simplify LoRaWAN and LoRa point-to-point (P2P) communication. It also features BLE functionality of the Apollo3 Blue chip. To integrate LoRa technology into your projects, the RAK11721 is implemented with an easy-to-use Serial Port communication interface where you can send AT commands.
  • Through these AT commands, you can set the parameters needed for LoRa P2P and LoRaWAN communication.
