List of Components
Getting Started
- Download the SwitchBot app via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Open our app and register a SwitchBot account or sign in directly if you already have one.
- Open the battery cover, remove the plastic battery isolation tab, and you will see the indicator light start flashing.
- Close the battery cover and turn on Bluetooth on your phone. Open the SwitchBot app, tap “+” on the top right of the home page, find the Remote icon and select. Then follow the instrutions and add your device.
Placement
After adding your Remote, you may place it anywhere.
- Option 1: Place it on a table.
- Option 2: Put it into the Remote holder. Peel off the tape liner on the back of the holder, stick it to a smooth surface and press it for 30 seconds to ensure it is firmly attached. Then put your Remote into the holder.
- Option 3: Add a lanyard to your Remote through the strap-hole for portable use. You may need to purchase a lanyard separately.
- Option 4: Draw pictures or write notes on the DIY stickers provided and then stick them to your Remote for personalized uses.
Pairing Remote
You can pair your Remote with SwitchBot devices like a Bot or a Curtain to control them.
How to pair a Remote:
- When pairing, place your phone, Remote and the target device close to each other.
- Open the SwitchBot app, tap the Remote card on the home page, tap the Key icon below Key Settings, then your phone will start to scan nearby available devices. Select your target device and set Remote actions for it.
Mapping Keys
The two keys on your Remote can be set individually to trigger actions of two different devices. One key can only trigger one action. For example, you can set the action of the concave key as closing/opening your Curtain, and the convex key as turning on/off your Bot.
Low Battery
When you see a red battery icon appear on the Remote card on the app home page, you may need to replace the battery.
Resetting Factory Settings
Press and hold both keys, and you will see the indicator light starts flashing. Hold the keys for 15 seconds and release when the light stops flashing. Then your Remote will emit a beep sound and the indicator light will light up for 1.5 seconds. Now your remote has been reset to factory settings.
Note: Since all previous settings of your remote will be
deleted after resetting, you will need to pair your Remote
again.
