Product Information

The G100 Gas-Detection analyzer is a device designed to detect the presence of gases in the air. It is manufactured by Lauper Instruments AG and distributed by Geotech. The device comes with a moisture removal tube, serial number, and a kickstand. It has a pump key, menu key, enter key and soft keys for easy navigation. The device has a gas outlet port used to exhaust gas, a gas inlet point used to attach the sample tube, and a filter to take gas readings. It also has a USB cable attachment point used to connect the analyzer to a PC via a USB cable to download data. The G100 Gas-Detection analyzer has a temperature probe and humidity probe attachment point (optional).

Product Usage Instructions

Before using the G100 Gas-Detection analyzer, ensure that the temperature connectors fitted with black plugs to prevent dust ingress are removed. Grip the connector cap and pull upwards to release. Refit when not in use. Also, attach the moisture removal tube to the device and ensure that the serial number is visible.
Follow the steps below to use the device:

  1. Press the on/off key to turn on the device.
  2. Use keys 2 and 8 to scroll up and down respectively to select the required gas reading.
  3. Attach the sample tube and filter to the gas inlet point.
  4. Press the pump key to start the pump and take the gas reading.
  5. Use keys 2 and 6 to scroll right and left respectively to view the gas reading.
  6. When not in use, refit the black plugs to prevent dust ingress.
  7. To download data, connect the device to a PC via a USB cable and transfer data.
  8. The G100 Gas-Detection analyzer requires servicing every 12 months. If the service is overdue, the device will display a service overdue message.

  • A Temperature 1 connector measures temperature incubator and ambient temperatures.
  • B Temperature 2 connector measures temperature incubator and ambient temperatures.
  • Temperature connectors are fitted with black plugs to prevent dust ingress, remove before use. Grip connector cap and pull upwards to release. Refit when not in use.
  • C Humidity probe (optional) attachment point.
  • D Gas outlet port used to exhaust the gas.
  • E Gas inlet point used to attach the sample tube and filter in order to take the gas reading.
  • F USB cable attachment point. Used to connect the analyser to a PC via a USB cable to download data.
  • G Mains battery charger point. Used to attach the mains charger to the analyser for charging.
  • Note: A red backlight is displayed if the pump is stalled or the alarm is activated. For further information, please refer to Operating Manual sections on Alarms and Flow Fail.
