IKEA 700 Freestanding Stainless Steel Fridge
Product Information: FRYSA
The FRYSA is a refrigerator with a crisper drawer, glass shelf, glass crisp cover, lower drawer, dairy balcony with lid, door balcony, bottle holder with dividers, and bottles balcony. It has a control panel, LED light, and fan. The refrigerator compartment features automatic defrosting, and the appliance has a fast-cool function and key lock.
The drawers, baskets and shelves should be kept in their current position unless otherwise specified in this quick guide. The light system inside the refrigerator compartment uses LED lights, allowing for better lighting than with traditional light bulbs, as well as for very low energy consumption. Doors and lids of the refrigeration appliance should be removed before disposal in the landfill, to avoid children or animals getting trapped inside. This product contains a light source of energy efficiency class G.
Accessories
The FRYSA comes with an egg tray.
**First Use
**
Connect the appliance to the power supply. The ideal food storage temperatures are already factory-set (intermediate). After being switched on, the appliance needs 4-5 hours to reach the correct temperature to store a typical volume of food. Refer to the recommended setting and storage times in the user manual to avoid food waste.
Important!
This appliance is sold in France.
In accordance with regulations valid in this country it must be provided with
a special device (see figure) placed in the lower compartment of the fridge to
indicate the coldest zone of it.
Refrigerator Operation
The appliance’s refrigerator compartment features a control panel. It is possible to set a different temperature with the E button. The control panel has the following features:
- A – On/Stand-by
- B – Temperature display
- C – Key lock
- D – Vacation (holiday mode)
- E – Appliance temperature
- F – Turning off the sound alarm
On/Stand-by
Press the A button for 3 seconds to turn the appliance off. In Stand-by
mode, the icon will light up, and the light in the refrigerator compartment
does not turn on. To turn the product on again, a brief press on the button is
sufficient. Note: this procedure does not disconnect the appliance from the
electricity supply.
Key Lock
The key lock can be activated/deactivated by keeping the C button pressed
for 3 seconds until a confirmation sound is heard (the icon lights up
immediately and disappears into a few seconds).
If you press any button while the key lock is active, you will hear a sound,
and the C icon will flash.
Fast Cool Function
To quickly cool the refrigerator compartment, turn on the Fast Cooling
function by pressing button E for 3 seconds. When the function is turned on,
the icon will be displayed. The function turns off automatically after 6 hours
or manually by pressing the E button for 3 seconds.
Turning Off the Sound Alarm
To turn off the sound alarm, briefly press the F button.
Note: the fan restarts automatically after a power cut or after turning off
the appliance.
LED Light
LEDs last longer than traditional light bulbs, improve internal
visibility, and are environmentally friendly. Contact the Service
Centre if replacement is necessary.
Defrosting
Defrosting of the refrigerator compartment is completely automatic. The formation of water droplets on the rear internal wall of the refrigerator compartment indicates that automatic defrosting is underway. The defrost water automatically runs into a drain outlet and then into a container from where it evaporates. Caution! The refrigerator accessories must not be placed in a dishwasher.

Daily use
Refrigerator operation
The appliance’s refrigerator compartment features a control panel.
It is possible to set a different temperature with the E button.

On/Stand-by
Press the A button for 3 seconds to turn the appliance off. In Stand-by mode,
the icon will light up and the light in the refrigerator

Temperature display
The display shows the refrigerator compartment temperature (between 2°C and
7°C). Recommended setting: +4°C
Key lock
The key lock can be activated/deactivated by keeping the C button pressed for
3 seconds, until a confirmation sound is heard (the icon lights up immediately
and into few seconds disappear). If you press any button while the key lock is
active, you will hear a sound and the C icon will flash.
Vacation (holiday mode)
You can use this function in the event of your prolonged absence.
Press the “Vacation” D button for 3 seconds to turn the function on. The
display will show the temperature of the refrigerator
compartment (12°C) and the D icon will light up. After activating the
function, remove the food from the appliance and keep the door closed – the
appliance will maintain a suitable temperature to prevent odours from forming.
To turn off the function, press briefly the button or act on the °C E button.
Fast Cool function
To quickly cool the refrigerator compartment, turn on the “Fast Cooling”
function by pressing button E for 3 seconds.
When the function is turned on, the icon will be displayed. The function turns
off automatically after 6 hours, or manually by pressing the E button for 3
seconds.
Turning off the sound alarm
To turn off the sound alarm, briefly press the F button.
Fan function
The fan is pre-set to ON.
You can turn the fan on/off by pressing the C button and E button at the same
time for 3 seconds.
If the ambient temperature exceeds 27°C, or if drops of water are present on
the glass shelves, it is essential that the fan is on to ensure the proper
preservation of the food. Deactivation of the fan allows energy consumption to
be optimised.
Note: the fan restarts automatically after a power cut or after turning off
the appliance.
LED light
LEDs last longer than traditional light bulbs, improve internal visibility and
are environmentally friendly.
Contact the Service Centre if replacement is necessary.
Door Magnet switch: do not remove, it is part of the normal operation of the product.
Refrigerator compartment
Defrosting of the refrigerator compartment is completely automatic.

Caution! The refrigerator accessories must not be placed in a dishwasher.
Installation
The appliance must be handled and installed by two or more persons – risk of
injury. Use protective gloves to unpack and install – risk of cuts.
Installation, including water supply (if any), electrical connections and
repairs must be carried out by a qualified technician. Do not repair or
replace any part of the appliance unless specifically stated in the user
manual. Keep children away from the installation site. After unpacking the
appliance, make sure that it has not been damaged during transport.
In the event of problems, contact the dealer or your nearest Aftersales
Service. Once installed, packaging waste (plastic, styrofoam parts etc.) must
be stored out of reach of children – risk of suffocation. The appliance must
be disconnected from the power supply before any installation operation – risk
of electric shock. During installation, make sure the appliance does not
damage the power cable – risk of fire or electric shock. Only activate the
appliance when the installation has been completed.
Be careful not to damage the floors (e.g. parquet) when moving the appliance.
Install the appliance on a floor or support strong enough to take its weight
and in a place suitable for
its size and use. Make sure the appliance is not near a heat source and that
the four feet are stable and resting on the floor,

adjusting them as required, and checking that the appliance is perfectly level
using a spirit level. Wait at least two hours before switching the appliance
on, to ensure that the refrigerant circuit is fully efficient.
WARNING: When positioning the appliance, ensure the supply cord is not trapped
or damaged.
WARNING: To avoid a hazard due to instability, positioning or fixing of the
appliance must be done in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
It’s forbidden to place the refrigerator in such way that the metal hose of
gas stove, metal gas or water pipes, or electrical wires are in contact with
the refrigerator’s back wall (condenser coil).
To guarantee adequate ventilation, leave a space on both sides and above the
appliance. The distance between the rear of the appliance and the wall behind
the appliance should be 50 mm, to avoid access to hot surfaces. A reduction of
this space will increase the Energy consumption of the product. Please remove
the power cord from the condenser hook during installation before connecting
the product to the power supply.
