Chill Alkaline Water Refrigerator Filter Purification Water Unit
QUICK TIPS
- The filter will be slow. This is normal; it should take about one hour to fill one gallon, and will speed up after continuous use.
- There will always be about 1/2 inch of water that does not filter through the top basin.
- If water stops filtering through, use the syringe and force water through to clear the pores from blockage. (Step 2) To remove the filter, turn counter clock wise.
IMPORTANT
- Do NOT fill the tank with hot water or salt water.
- Do NOT use anything abrasive on the plastic parts when cleaning.
MAINTENANCE
Clean top and bottom tank every 2-3 months.
To avoid algae from forming, keep away from sunlight.
Replace new filter every 2-3 months or 120 gallons. (Set your date keeper on
the lid)

Thank you so much for purchasing the OPTI CHILL!
We know you can’t wait to start using and enjoying OPTI alkaline water, you
are so close! Just follow these four steps to get started:
STEP 1. WASH
Hand wash all parts with a soft sponge and soapy water (do not wash the
filter).
STEP 2. ACTIVATE
To activate the OPTI water filter, completely submerge the filter in a bowl of
cool water and let it soak for 4 minutes.
Now let’s use the syringe! Keep the filter submerged in water.
Put the tip of the syringe in the opening of the filter and create a tight
seal. Grip the syringe with one hand, and with your other hand start pumping
air through the syringe by
moving it forcefully up and down. The goal is to see some air/water flow coming
through the filter. Repeat compressions 5-10 times. You just performed an
important filter “breathing” procedure, and yes you may now call yourself a
certified OPTI water doctor
Remove filter from bowl, and give it a quick rinse.
KEEP THE SYRINGE. YOU WILL NEED IT AGAIN FOR YOUR REPLACEMENT FILTER
STEP 3. ASSEMBLE THE UNIT
Make sure one rubber washer is used in between the filter and unit. Gently
screw the filter into the hole clockwise. Do not over tighten.
STEP 4. FILL
the top basin with tap water and dispose of the first filtered batch. Note: The
first cycle will be a bit slow, and you may see some carbon dust in the first few
fillings. This is harmless.
