LONGINES L2.629.4.92.6 Master Collection Watch

Product Information

The Longines watch is a timepiece collection from La Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A., based on research combined with technical excellence and timeless elegance. The watch comes with an international warranty that covers the watch for a specified period. The warranty covers the repair or replacement of the watch’s components if they are defective due to faulty material or workmanship. However, it does not cover any other claims against La Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A., for any kinds of damage or harm other than those set out in this warranty, excepting statutory rights that the purchaser can assert against the manufacturer. The Longines watch is water-resistant to different levels of pressure, ranging from 3 bar (30 m) to 30 bar (300 m), depending on the model. The water-resistance values given in metres are equivalent to pressure applied in accordance with standard ISO 22810. It is important to note that the water-resistance can be affected by changes caused by the gaskets drying out, or an accidental shock to the crown. Therefore, it is recommended to have its water-resistance checked once a year by an approved LONGINES Service Centre.

Product Usage Instructions

Before using your Longines watch for the first time, it is recommended to read the instruction manual carefully to ensure its correct operation and long life. If you would like more information about your watch or if it is fitted with a complication, you can find detailed information and tutorials by going to our website at www.longines.com/instruction- manual or by scanning the QR code. To maintain your watch’s water-resistance, it is recommended to rinse it in soft water after any contact with sea water and having its water-resistance checked once a year by an approved LONGINES Service Centre. In no circumstances should you open your watch yourself. Never activate the time- setting crown and/or push-pieces when the watch is underwater, and ensure that the crown and push-pieces are pushed in or screwed down before any immersion in water. If your watch needs servicing, entrust it to an official LONGINES dealer or an approved LONGINES Service Centre as listed on our website at www.longines.com: their servicing is guaranteed to comply with the standards of La Compagnie des Montres Longines, Francillon S.A. Lastly, it is important to keep the battery out of reach of children. The battery can cause serious injuries if swallowed or placed inside any part of the body. Seek medical attention immediately.

Precautions concerning water resistance

A watch’s water-resistance can be affected by changes caused by the gaskets drying out, or an accidental shock to the crown. To help maintain your watch’s water-resistance, we recommend rinsing it in soft water after any contact with sea water and having its water-resistance checked once a year by an approved LONGINES Service Centre. In no circumstances should you open your watch yourself.

IMPORTANT! Never activate the time-setting crown and/or push-pieces when the watch is underwater, and ensure that the crown and push-pieces are pushed in or screwed down before any immersion in water.

Screw-in crown
Some LONGINES models are equipped with a screw-in crown, which must be unscrewed before setting the time, correcting the date or winding, by turning it anti-clockwise. After making the settings, return the crown to position 1, then push it back in and screw it in firmly to ensure the watch’s water resistance. Avoid setting the time while the chronograph function is in use

Setting the time and stop seconds

  • Pull the crown out to position 3 when the small seconds hand (situated at 3 o’clock) is at 60. Turn the crown either way to the desired time display. As soon as the time is synchronised, push the crown back into position 1.
  • If you have not been wearing your mechanical watch, it needs to be wound manually through thirty revolutions or so.
  • Avoid any quick date correction between 20:00 and 03:00.

Quick date correction

Pull the crown out to position 2, and then turn it backward to the desired date display. During this operation, your watch will continue to run; no time adjustment will be required. The date needs to be corrected after every month shorter than 31 days. Push the crown back into position 1. The date will change when the hour hand passes midnight. Before each timing operation, the chronograph hands must be at their start point.

Standard Start – Stop – Reset function

Timing a single event:

  • Press push-piece 2: the chronograph will start.
  • Press push-piece 2: the chronograph will stop.
  • Press push-piece 3 to reset.

  • At the start of the first stage, press push-piece 2: the chronograph will start.
  • At the end of the first stage, press push-piece 2 again: the chronograph will stop.
  • Repeat for each stage of the rally.
  • At the end of the final stage the chronograph will show the total time of the rally, in other words, the accumulated time for all the stages.
  • Press push-piece 3 to reset.
