Product Information

The Breakfast Club is a coffee maker that comes with a top-quality guarantee. It operates at 450 watts and has a voltage of 220-240 volts and a frequency of 50-60 Hz. The product comes with an instruction manual in multiple languages, including English, German, French, Dutch, Italian, and Spanish. The product model number is ACM8007BE.
The coffee maker has a filter cover, permanent filter, water reservoir, coffee cups, on/off switch with an indicator light, and a cord with a plug. The maximum number of cups that can be brewed is two, and the maximum number of cups that can be brewed using a single serving is one.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Remove the packaging and clean all accessories to remove any residue from the manufacturing process. Dry them thoroughly.

  2. Use the device two to three times with only water to clean the inside. Follow the user instructions below.

  3. Place the device on a stable and horizontal surface.

  4. Fill the water reservoir with the desired amount of cold, clean water using the cup you will brew coffee in. Ensure that the water level does not exceed the maximum indication on the inside of the water reservoir.

  5. Add the desired amount of coffee to the permanent filter and distribute it evenly over the filter.

  6. Plug in the device and turn it on by pressing the on/off switch. The indicator light will turn on.

  7. Turn off the device after the last coffee has dripped into the cups. The indicator light will turn off. Turn off the device by setting the switch first to “0” and then to “1”.

  8. To clean the device, turn it off, unplug it, and let it cool.
    Clean the outside with a damp cloth and detergent, ensuring that no moisture enters the device. Wash the permanent filter in warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Use a soft cloth or brush to clean.

  9. If there is a buildup of limescale, use a suitable descaling agent following the instructions provided with the product.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

  • Check that the mains voltage corresponds with that shown on the rating plate of an electrical appliance before you use it.

  • Do not touch electrical appliances if they have fallen in the water. Immediately pull the plug out of the socket. Stop using the appliance.

  • Make sure that electrical appliances, cords and plugs do not come into contact with heat sources, such as a hot hob or open fire.

  • Never let cords hang over the edge of the sink, a worktop or a table.

  • Always remove plug from the socket when you are not using the electrical appliance.

  • Remove the plug from the socket by pulling the plug itself and not the cord.

  • Regularly check if the cord of the electrical appliance is not damaged. Do not use the electrical appliance if the cord shows signs of damage. If the cord is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, a technical service provider or a person with an equivalent qualification, to avoid any danger.

  • The appliance may not be switched on with the aid of an external time switch, or by a separate system with remote control.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS APPLIANCE

  • Be careful when using the appliance outdoors.
  • Never use the appliance in damp or wet locations.
  • Thoroughly clean the appliance after use (see Cleaning and Maintenance).
  • Be careful not to burn yourself on the steam which escapes from the coffee filter.
  • Let the appliance cool down before you start brewing again

  • Dispose of packaging material such as plastic and cardboard boxes in the designated containers.

  • Do not dispose of this product as normal domestic waste
    at the end of its life, but hand it in at a collection point for the reuse of electric and electronic equipment. Look for the symbol on the product, the user instructions or the packaging showing the type of waste.

  • The materials can be used as indicated. By helping us reuse and process the materials or otherwise recycle the old equipment, you will be making an important contribution towards the protection of the environment.

  • Your municipality can tell you where to find the designated waste collection point in your neighborhood.

FUNCTION

The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use.

Before using for the first time

  1. Remove the packaging.
  2. Clean all the accessories to remove any residue that may be left from the manufacturing process (see “Cleaning and maintenance”). Dry them thoroughly.
  3. First use the appliance two or three times only with water to clean the inside. Please observe the following instructions. Allow the appliance to cool down for five minutes after all the water has passed. Dispose of the water afterwards.

Use

  1. Ensure that the appliance is placed in a perfectly horizontal position.
  2. Lift the appliance’s lid and fill the water tank with the required quantity of cold water, using the cup from which you are going to drink coffee. Make sure that the water level does not exceed the maximum-level mark on the inside of the water reservoir.
  3. Put one or two cups under the spouts. If you would like to brew one cup off coffee, place the cup in the middle.
  4. Put the required quantity of ground coffee into the permanent filter. Distribute the coffee evenly.
  5. Put the plug in the wall socket and switch on the appliance by using the On/Off-switch. The indicator light will now illuminate.
  6. Switch off the appliance only once cups are filled with the last drops of coffee. The indicator light will extinguish when the switch is set to the ‘0’ position.
  7. Remove the plug from the wall socket.

ATTENTION:

  • The appliance will not keep the coffee in the cup warm.
  • Allow the appliance to cool down before using it to brew additional coffee!
  • After 15 minutes the coffee maker will switch off automatically. If you wish to brew coffee after this has happened, set the switch to ‘0’ before setting it ‘1’..

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Switch off the appliance, take the plug out of the socket, and allow the coffee maker to cool.
  2. Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth and washing-up liquid, and then dry it thoroughly. Make sure no moisture gets into the appliance.
  3. Wash the permanent filter in hot water with washing-up liquid. Rinse the filter with ample clean water, and then dry it thoroughly.

ATTENTION:

  • Never immerse the coffee maker, the plug or the cable in water. Never put the appliance in a dishwasher. Only the permanent filter may be immersed in water.
  • Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE – Descaling

Limescale can reduce the efficiency of your coffee maker. Limescale is common in areas with hard water. We advise the use of a suitable descaling agent to remove any scale. Always follow the instructions for the descaling agent. The amount of scale will be reduced when you use a water softener.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

Bestron offers a 60-month warranty on this equipment against defects resulting from manufacturing and/or material errors, subject to the following conditions.

  1. No labor or material costs will be charged during this warranty period.
  2. Any repairs carried out under the warranty will not extend the warranty period.
  3. Faulty parts, or in the event of exchange, the faulty equipment itself, will automatically become the pro-perty of Bestron.
  4. The warranty is valid for the first buyer only and is non-transferable.
  5. The warranty is not valid for damage caused by:
    • Accidents
    • Improper use
    • Wear and tear
    • Neglect
    • Faulty installation
    • Connection to a different mains voltage than indicated on the type plate
    • Unauthorized changes
    • Repairs carried out by unqualified third parties
    • Use in violation with the applicable statutory, technical or safety standards
    • Careless transport without suitable packaging or other protection
  6. Warranty cannot be claimed:
    • For damage during transport
    • If the serial number of the appliance is removed or changed
  7. Items excluded from warranty are:
    • Cords
    • Lamps
    • Glass parts + coffee cups
  8. The warranty does not entitle the purchaser to compensation for any damage other than replacement or repair of the faulty parts. Bestron cannot in any event be held liable for any indirect or consequential losses caused by or in relation to the equipment it has provided.
  9. Claims under a warranty may only be submitted to your (online) retailer or directly to the Bestron Ser-vice Department. Never send items without being asked to. We may refuse the parcel and you will be liable for the costs. Contact us first and we tell you how the appliance should be packaged and sent. Each claim under a warranty must be accompanied by the relevant receipt.
