SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • In the unlikely event that the device should become defective, never try to carry out the repair yourself. Always have repairs carried out by a qualified technician.
  • If the power cord of this device is damaged, it must be repaired by the manufacturer, his customer service or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards.
  • Children are not allowed to clean and maintain the appliance, except if they are over the age of 8 years old and supervised.
  • Keep the appliance and the cable out of reach of children under the age of 8 years old.
  • Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Always place electrical appliances on a stable and flat, heat-resistant surface, in a place where it cannot fall.
  • Certain parts of an electrical appliance can become warm or even hot. To avoid burns, do not touch these parts of the device.
  • Do not touch the ceramic dome and the iron parts of the spatulas during the baking process. These can get very hot.
  • Do not heat meat in the pizza oven, as fat from the meat can get onto the heating element and cause a fire hazard.
  • Do not allow electrical devices, cables or plugs to come into contact with water, other liquids or other heat sources.
  • The appliance must not be operated by means of an external timer switch, or by a separate system with remote control.
  • The appliance and its parts are not dishwasher safe.

ENVIRONMENT

Dispose of packaging materials such as plastic and boxes in the appropriate containers. Do not hand this product in as normal household waste at the end of its life cycle, but hand it in at a collection point for reuse of electrical and electronic equipment. Look for the symbol on the product, instructions for use or packaging.

OPERATION

The appliance is intended only for domestic use, not for professional use. The following description is associated with the image on page 2:

  1. Hot plate
  2. Ceramic dome
  3. Heating element
  4. Baking tray
  5. Base
  6. Spatula
  7. Cable and plug
  8. Power indicator light
  9. Unpack the device and remove all packaging parts.
  10. Before using for the first time, clean the baking tray and spatulas (see ‘Cleaning and maintenance’).
  11. This appliance must be connected to an earthed socket.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The first time you use the appliance, it may produce slight smoke and a specific odour. This is normal and will disappear on its own. Ensure sufficient ventilation.
  • Place the baking tray with the correct side up on the base.

Use of pizza oven

  1. Insert the plug (7) into the socket. The red power indicator light (8) will light up and the pizza oven will now heat up.
  2. The pizza oven is ready for use after approx. 15 minutes of heating.
  3. Place the mini pizza, tarte flambée or quiche on a spatula (6) and place this spatula in the pizza oven through 1 of the openings. Leave the food on the spatula so that it is also easy to remove out of the pizza oven.
  4. Bake the pizza, tarte flambée or quiche for approx. 15 minutes.
  5. Remove the spatula from the pizza oven when the pizza is ready. Please note that the spatula can be very hot.
  6. Place the pizza, tarte flambée or quiche on top of the warming plate (1) to temporarily keep it warm.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The spatulas and the appliance can both become very hot during use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Remove the plug from the socket, the red power indicator light will go out. Let the device cool down for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Clean the baking tray and spatulas with a dish brush and warm water. Then dry it well.
  3. Clean the base with a damp cloth and then dry it with a dry cloth.
  4. Make sure that no moisture gets inside the device.
  5. The outside of the ceramic dome can also be wiped with a damp cloth if necessary.

WARNING:

  • The appliance and its parts are not dishwasher safe.
  • Allow the ceramic dome to cool down before it comes into contact with water or a cool surface. This is to prevent cracks and tears.
  • Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.
