WHADDA LM2577 DC-DC Voltage Step Up Module

Product Information

The LM2577 DC-DC voltage step-up (boost) module WPM402 is a device that converts a microcontroller’s power supply, battery, solar cell, etc. into a higher, adjustable voltage. It has an input voltage range of 3.5-35 V and an output voltage range of 5-56V. The output voltage can be adjusted via a multi- turn potentiometer. This module is designed to be used for indoor applications only.

Specifications

  • Input voltage range: 3.5-35 V
  • Output voltage range: 5-56V
  • Pin layout: IN+ (positive input), IN- (negative input), OUT+
    (positive output), OUT- (negative output)

Safety Instructions
Before using this appliance, read and understand the user manual and all safety signs. If the device was damaged during transit, do not install or use it and contact your dealer.

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Ensure that the device is for indoor use only.
  2. Connect the positive input (IN+) to the power source (microcontroller’s power supply, battery, solar cell, etc.) and the negative input (IN-) to the ground.
  3. Connect the load to the positive output (OUT+) and negative output (OUT-).
  4. Use a multimeter to measure the input voltage and ensure that it falls within the input voltage range of 3.5-35 V.
  5. Turn on the power source and adjust the output voltage via the multi-turn potentiometer. Ensure that the output voltage is higher than the input voltage to avoid damaging the module.

What is Arduino®
Arduino® is an open-source prototyping platform based on easy-to-use hardware and software. Arduino® boards are able to read inputs – light-on sensor, a finger on a button or a Twitter message – and turn it into an output – activating of a motor, turning on an LED, publishing something online. You can tell your board what to do by sending a set of instructions to the microcontroller on the board. To do so, you use the Arduino programming language (based on Wiring) and the Arduino® software IDE (based on Processing). Additional shields/modules/components are required for reading a twitter message or publishing online. Surf to www.arduino.cc for more information.
