IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fi re, electric shock, and/or injury to person, including the following:

  1. Read all instructions and information in this instruction book and any other literature included in the carton referring to this product before oper-ating or using this  appliance.
  2. To protect against fire, electric shock, and personal injury, do not place cord, plugs, or aplliance in water or other liquid.
  3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  4. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
  5. Allow to cool before putting on or talking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
  6. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fi re, electric shock, or personal injury.
  7. Do not use outdoors.
  8. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.
  9. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  10.  Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, if the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to authorized service  facility for examination, repair, or adjustment.
  11. Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  12. Unique identifier normally means trademark and product model .Product model should be the same as the product model in test report.

  14. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  15. Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off” then remove plug from wall outlet.
  16. Scalding may occur if the lid is removed during the frothing cycles.
  17. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless  they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

“If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to  try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:

  • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
  • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
  • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit diff erent from that to which the receiver is connected.
  • Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

a) A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use.
c) If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:

  1. The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance;
  2. If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding[1]type 3-wire cord; and
  3. The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

CAUTION
This appliance is for household use only. Any servicing, other than clean- ink and user maintenance, should be performed by an authorized service centre. Do not immerse  machine in water. To reduce the risk of fi re or electric, shock, do not disassemble the machine. There are no parts inside the machine serviceable by the user. Repair should  be done by authorized service personnel only.

  1. Check voltage to be sure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate corresponds with your voltage.
  2. Keep your hands the cord away from hot parts of the appliance during.

First use

The appliance can be used for the following operations:

  • Froth and heat milk (press (once) the power button – LED RED);
  • Froth milk without heating it (Long press the power button for about 3S – LED BLUE);
  • Heat milk without frothing it (press (twice) the power button – LED FLASHING RED).

The appliance is equipped with a “mixer/milk frothier insert” accessory (support + whisk), which must always be used, whatever the chosen operation.
Before using the milk frothier, clean all the parts (see “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE”).
Do not use the appliance without milk.
Note: The appliance switches off by disconnecting it from the power supply.

  • Place the appliance on a flat surface.
  • Remove the container from the base.
  • Remove the lid and make sure the mixer/milk frothier insert is inside the container.
  • Fill the container with the recommended amount of milk, put back the lid and the container on the base.

Note: For better froth, use milk straight from the refrigerator (approx. 3°-5°C).
To prevent the milk from spilling after frothing, the maximum recommended amount of milk (150ml) must not exceed the line mark MAX FROTH; this is because when  frothed, milk increases its initial volume.

  • Insert the plug in a power socket.
  • Press the power button once for about 1 second ; The button light will turn red ;
    The milk frothier will start rotating and frothing the milk. When the required temperature is reached, the milk frothier insert stops; the buttons light will switch off.

Note: The cycle can be stopped in advance by pressing the button once. Do not remove the milk container during operation.

  • When the appliance stops, remove the container from the base and pour the hot frothed milk (Fig.2).
  • Always switch the appliance off by disconnecting it from the mains after use.

Note: It is advisable to clean the appliance of any milk residues after every use, to avoid risks to health and prevent malfunctioning.

Frothing milk without heating it

  • Place the appliance on a flat surface.
  • Remove the container from the base.
  • Remove the lid and make sure the mixer/milk frothier insert is inside the container.
  • Fill the container with the recommended amount of milk, put back the lid and the container on the base.

Note: For better froth, use milk straight from the refrigerator (approx. 3°-5°C).
To prevent the milk from spilling after frothing, the maximum recommended amount of milk (150ml) must not exceed the line mark MAX FROTH; this is because when  frothed, milk increases its initial volume.

  • Insert the plug in a power socket.
  • Long press the button for about 3 seconds. The light will turn blue. The milk frothier will start rotating and frothing the milk. When the required frothing is reached, the  milk frothier insert stops; and the buttons light will switch off.

Note: The cycle can be stopped in advance by pressing the button once. Do not remove the milk container during operation.

  • When the appliance stops, remove the container from the base and pour the cold frothed milk (Fig.2).
  • Always switch the appliance off by disconnecting it from the mains after use.

Note: It is advisable to clean the appliance of any milk residues after every use, to avoid risks to health and prevent malfunctioning.

Heating milk without frothing it

  • Place the appliance on a flat surface.
  • Remove the container from the base.
  • Remove the lid and make sure the mixer/milk frothier insert is inside the container.
  • Fill the container with the recommended amount of milk, put back the lid and the container on the base.

Note: The recommended maximum amount of milk (250ml) must not exceed the line marked MAX MILK.

  • Insert the plug in a power socket.
  • Press twice the button for about 1 second each time; the light will start flashing red .
    The milk frothier insert will start rotating slowly. When the required temperature is reached, the milk frothier insert stops; the power buttons will switch off.

Note: The cycle can be stopped in advance by pressing the button once. Do not remove the milk container during operation.

  • When the appliance stops, remove the container from the base and pour the hot milk (Fig.2).
  • Always switch the appliance off by disconnecting it from the mains after use.

Note: It is advisable to clean the appliance of any milk residues after every use, to avoid risks to health and prevent malfunctioning.

Cleaning and maintenance

Always unplug the appliance and leave it to cool before cleaning it.
ATTENTION: Do not put the base nor the milk container in water.

  • The milk frothier CANNOT be put in a dishwasher.
  • Remove the gasket from the lid and wash them with warm water and mild detergent (Fig.3). Rinse thoroughly and dry. Put the gasket back on the lid.
  • Remove the metal whisk from the support (Fig.4), wash them with hot water (NOT in a dishwasher) and put it back together.
  • Clean the outside of the container using a damp cloth or a mild detergent.
  • Clean the inside of the container using a soft cloth making sure not to scratch the interior coating of the container.

Note: To prevent dulling, do not use abrasive detergents to clean the outside of the appliance.
