Solar Pump Controller
The Solar Pump Controller (FOC) is designed to work with a Brushless DC Motor/PMSM. The current version of the product is V2.0, released on June 25, 2022, by Mr. Leo Wang. Before using the solar pump controller, it is important to read the user manual carefully and follow the instructions to ensure safety.

Safety Definition
It is important to follow the safety guidelines to avoid serious injuries or even death while operating against the rules.

Storage Condition
The storage temperature should be between -40 to +65. The humidity level should be between 5% to 90%, without any condensation. It should be stored in a dry and dust-free environment, and not in an environment containing corrosive gas, or liquid.

Installation
Only professional personnel should connect the wire. Each wire must be wrapped with electrical tape for safety purposes. The solar pump controller should not be installed in direct sunlight, thick dust, corrosive gas or oil mist, flammable gas, or liquid. The device must be installed vertically to ensure good convection cooling effect. The height of the device installation should be over 1.1m or more, and the risk identified beside the device should be established. The ambient temperature should be between -20 to +60. If it exceeds 45, then make sure it is well-ventilated and the backside of the controller should be covered to make sure the air of the fan is output from the top of the controller. Relative humidity should be between 15%-+95%RH.

Maintenance
Under no circumstances should the controller be disassembled or touched the internal parts without professional guidance. Forbid to maintain the controller when it is Power-on.

Product Instructions

LED Display
The LED display has 7 numbers with their corresponding descriptions and parameters. The parameters are Power, Battery, Solar, Battery Low, Well Tank, Error, and Power LED. The battery working mode and solar working mode are flashing while working. The LED is on while the water in the well is empty, and it flashes while the well sensor’s low, middle, or high-level wiring is wrong. The LED is on while the water tank is full, and it flashes while the tank sensor’s low, middle, or high-level wiring is wrong. The flashing and beep alarm times include input overvoltage, battery low voltage, battery overvoltage, Mosfet overcurrent, Foc initial failed, U phase current error, V phase current error, W phase current error, the startup failed, over temperature, overcurrent, a tank full of water, borehole water empty, and potentiometer stop (controller stop).

Installation:

Danger

Wire is connected by professional person only.
Each wire connect to the device must be wrapped with electrical tape for safety.
Prohibiting the installation location: direct sunlight, thick dust, corrosive gas or oil mist, flammable gas, liquid.
Attention

To ensure good convection cooling effect, the device must be installed Vertically.
The height of the device installation should be over 1.1m or more, and please establish the risk identified beside the device.
The ambient temperature -20 ℃ -+60 ℃, If Over 45, Please make sure well ventilated and the backside of controller should be covered to make sure the air of fan is output from TOP of controller.
Relative humidity 15%+95%RH.

Maintenance:

Danger

Under any circumstances, without professional guidance, do not disassemble the controller or touch the internal parts.
Forbid to maintain the controller when it is Power-on.

NOTE:

  1. Solar panels No.1~N must be the same parameters.
  2. Solar panels No.1 and No.2 are connected in series. And be a string.
  3. Solar panels No 1~2, No3~4, and No 5~6, there are three strings in parallel.
  4. Solar Panels’ Power is configured to 1.2 ~ 2 times of pump motor’s power, it depends on the pump motor’s efficiency and sunshine of the solar pumping system installed location.

U.V.W Output
U.V.W connected to Motor’s 3phase, forbid to reverse running if the pump is screw pump.

NOTE:
Exchange any two wire of 3phase to change to forward/reverse running.

Please provide controller failure photos or videos and the serial ID of the controllers to the distributor or manufacturer.

The following situations don’t belong to the quality warranty:

  1. The user to alter the controller and the serial number;
  2. Quality warranty label tag missing;
  3. Installation environment not meet the conditions of using.
  4. Product be repaired or disassembled without our authorization.

The following situations out of free warranty, the specific charges depends on the device conditions (material cost extra):

  1. Both in and out of the warranty period:
  2. Irresistible natural forces such as earthquake, fire damage caused by improper use;
  3. Controller water damaged.

SPECIAL ATTENTION

  • Please confirm each string’s output voltage is almost the same if there are several strings in parallel
  • The Voc of Solar panels must be within the max voltage of the DC pump Controller
